Seen Real Diamond with my wife & two friends but nothing beats seeing a show at centennial park in the crest with the hotels behind you & the beach in front
In the 70s Wildwood had 6 piers. Fun, Marine, Midway, Hunts, Surfside and Sportland. My favorite will always be Hunts pier, but Fun pier had some cool rides too. Plus the monorail and sky ride. Sportland had the adrenaline filled Hell Hole. With all those piers, the competition between pier owners must of been brutal. Although it was the best years of the Wildwood boardwalk. The best memories of my life.
Thanks for the video! Hope you feel better soon Joey. Next time you do a construction update, can you touch on Wildwood Crest? The Crest is usually my go-to spot and I am curious if they have any construction projects going on down there as well!
A great place for that stage, the one that is going away, is in on the west Wildwood, or the bay side of the island, that side of the island never seems to get enough love! The bay side of the island is GREAT! I really like, the RED HORSE MOTEL, it's small, but really nice too! They could use a pier out into the bay, for to fish off of, for the fisherman that come to Wildwood. 😊
Thank you Joey for ur videos and up dates on wildwood nj ✌️❤️wildwood is so personal to me I’m from mtl,qc been there year after year since 1974 …miss the orignal hotels /rooms and apartments and motels..miss the scenery…wow the water is so far away …it’s ok nice workout …the clubs « Penalty Box » « StarDust » the live bands etc ….prices r exaggerated …shouldn’t be ! Take care my friend thanks again 👏
Hi Joey. I actually purchased one of the condos on Wildwood Ave and Atlantic. There is 8 units in each building with a heated pool in the middle Each unit has 3 balconies 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Elevator in each building. 2 car assigned parking under the building. Settlement to be end of Dec thru February Almost completed. Thank you for doing a story and keeping us all updated!
Joey we need a good seafood restaurant like Captains Table on the water bk in the day by Bal Harbor…I ve been going to the crest for 38 years same ole same ole or get new cooks that add seasoning to the food like the nice restaurants in Cape May I can’t think of the name of the restaurant, but it’s very expensive but the lobster house needs some updating to the menu and same with URIES the boathouse 2 mile landing ect….with that being said looking forward to being down there June July August great video. Keep up the good work looking forward to the next video.
We love the Lobster House but Uriies is a tourist trap. Last two times we went there ( a year apart ) food was horrible. Baked potatoes were ice cold and waitress was MIA. Asked her for another ice tea when she dropped off the salad, then when she dropped off food & a third time. Never got the drink.
Last two times that we went to tourist trap Uries is was the worse dining experience. Flounder was bad, both of our baked potatoes were rock hard and waitress was bothered that I asked her three times for another ice tea when you dropped off bland salad, main dish and asked if wanted desert. Will never return.
Any update on the North Wildwood Boardwalk re-construction? The last I heard they were going to start from 15th ave and do 2 blocks to 17th. I haven't seen or heard anything in months.
Saw a Johnny Cash revival about six years ago. I think it was his grandson (could be wrong) that did some of the performing. Sorry to see the amphitheatre go.
Having laryngitis in Wildwood during the winter can't be a good thing! I know those winds are brutal down there. Was just wondering if you knew anything about the progress of the old Ocean Holiday motel in the Crest? Will it become a condo? Thanks!
Wildwood will always have a special place in my heart, but I’m mostly done with it. I spent my whole life vacationing there for a week or two every summer. But it’s simply way overpriced for what it is. I’ll go down for a long weekend during the NC reunion but that’s about it. I found Dewey Beach in DE a few years ago and love it. Plus it doesn’t feel like I’m in NE Philly. If I wanted to see everyone I know I’d just stay home in NE Philly and save thousands of dollars. 😂
can anyone explain to me why places like the Hurricane have been vacant for so long with a location a few blocks from the Jersey Shore? Its dumbfounding.
Zoning bottlenecks supply-and-demand by only allowing for a limited number of units for property. These properties would be even more expensive if they were developed like the townhome-style condos seen basically everwhere else on the island. Wildwood just has an incredibly high latent demand, but should probably be encouraging the construction of more hotels and motels.
Thank you for the updates Joey! You always do a great job! Feel better!
I started drooling when you were walking by Dragon House. Man that place is good!

Couldn’t tell you who we saw but we listened to country and oldies. Which were great shows there. Nice video Joey. Hope you feel better

That is a nice motel. We ve stayed there too. Pet -friendly. Great staff.
Always a great video
Nice update
Our wedding ceremony was on that very stage with many family and friends in attendance some ten years ago. Time does change things. 😕

Congratulations and best of luck with your new address!
Thanks joey good video love wildwood
It's unfortunate that we have to lose Lou booth. Seems like punishment for the beach replenishment.
Thank you for your videos

@ definitely agree
Miss Captain’s Table so much. That breakfast buffet was amazing!

@@PassaicRiverFishing We love the Lobster House. Usually get there by 4 PM to get a window seat when they open at 4:30 for diner.

What are they doing with the old VFW building on Spicer and Pacific?
Are they still building that big hotel on the boardwalk??
How do they get the wood down to the beach? BTW, you always need a new ice cream place.
Started going to Hassle ice cream on 19th St right off the boardwalk when they were only small hot dog stand back in the 1960's.
Any updates on Mahalo Wildwood Crest being built?
Why are all the cams down? Do the shut the cams down when the renovate the boardwalk to protect infrastructure secrets and such?
Many of the light poles have been removed for the project so there is no where to hang said cameras but some are still online.

Thanks Joey!
I never thought of that.
Btw any drone sightings out there??
Hurricane bikini club.......hell yea I was there back in the day......LOL

wow....THAT'S CRAZY....YOU'RE REALLY MISSING OUT......
Do you have any news about blocking the destruction of the art Deco hotels and have you circulated any petitions to save it
can anyone explain to me why places like the Hurricane have been vacant for so long with a location a few blocks from the Jersey Shore? Its dumbfounding.
Lots of condo units. Little affordable housing.
It's a beach resort town there not gonna destroy it with low income housing that's an inner city idea

Only 191 days till summer. ugh
I wish they stop with the condos
Why infrastructure projects are not a 24 seven operation beats me
Well, the past 4 years have been pretty expensive to build anything. Have you seen the price difference in lumber from 2015-16 to now? Yikes.
I need to move there open up my own business. Masonry.
i think the condos are ugly they are just riping the charm away that wildwood once had
One block of North Wildwood condos look worse then a housing project. Entire block all same ugly color.
Possibly Renting out 4 bedroom 3 bath porch front on central Ave & also possible 2nd floor 2 bedroom,1bath,deck any one interested let me know
It doesn't look like wildwood anymore
That's cool and all but can they do something and the young crazy undisciplined kids that go there? 😂
LOL!!!
It's all crap. The death of the Wildwoods.
Thanks for informative updates. Please ask Santa for a nice warm hat. & scarf. 🧣 feel better!
