They are beliefs in your head based on how you were raised and who influenced you. Having religious beliefs does not make them true or obligate others to respect them.

Some of my best childhood memories are spending Friday night with my Grandmother while Mum and Dad went out staying up late watching Dave Allen, Brilliant!!

I loved Dave Allen when he was on the telly when I was a kid, it's wonderful to see this now. It's still superb comedy: gentle, funny, poignantly sad, completely honest and delivered with that perfect timing of his. And a beautiful skewering of the absurdity of religion that is apparent before one is indoctrinated and can no longer look at it objectively. Awesome talent.

Oh my this takes me back to my Boarding School days when we all cramed into th tiny tv room to see him once a week. A brilliant man for his time and just listen to the truth in his points about the church. These are truely timeless truths. RIP Dave and thanks for all you gave us.
Fortunate to see him ‘live’ in London in the 1980s. Even though I was sitting way up the top in the cheap seats, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in my life. I was actually crying with laughter. A great observer of people and a truly great storyteller, in the Irish tradition.
