He done a massive amount for Indian Children , Got them trips to Disney land by all accounts too, So the people who called him a racist were far off the mark
His final comment on leaving the stage summed up the world we live in today. " My comedy doesn't suit everyone, but thanks for coming". Because of this many will never witness his genius.
Just came across this, what a laugh, I was working on the M6 in the mid 70's, late at night, multiple vehicle pile up, we were clearing vehicles, Bernard was caught in traffic behind the crash. Going home after a gig in Birmingham. . He had us all in stitches as he cracked jokes as we worked. . . Years later I met him again at his house by Uttoxeter race course, I reminded him of the time I had met him before and he said. . ''Did you ever fucking pay me for that show I gave you'' .... 😂😂😂😂
He was a filthy racist. Hated blacks and foreigners . Admitted it. Called blacks ‘coons and niggers’ as part of his act. And I ain’t no toff or a media type. From a working class family in London’s East End (Canning Town)
Brilliant comedy when I’m feeling ruff, just come on here and listen to Bernard, I’m laughing my head off, very soon, they don5 make em like him anymore,
We are now told what we are allowed to laugh at well fuck that I still laugh at Bernard Manning old videos I'm 55 and have zero intention of letting the leftist ideology off the BBC tell me what's funny
He was bloody brilliant mate, only saw him once live but it was a cracking night. I'm Jewish, he told loads of Jewish jokes, but you couldn't take offence, you were too busy laughing.
Manning was was a rare breed. Funny (to me) but offensive to many others, especially todays audiences. The work and contributions he made to charities goes unheralded (he only donated, both his time and money) unlike the many who slagged him off. He was his own man and stood firm. He might have been a Man City supporter but I'll let that slide. Thank you boss for making us laugh. He would of had a field day with the WOKE contingent. Merry Christmas King Bernard.🎅
I had the pleasure of speaking to him on the phone asking him for directions to the Embassy Club. It was about 5pm on a Saturday evening and he was the one that answered the phone. Initially i thought it was a recorded message but it was Bernard himself. Class act!
Sheer Class that's the only way to describe him, risque yes and you'd never get away with the jokes now ( I bet he would though) thanks Bernard you'll always make me laugh..
The greatest stand up this great country of our ever produced. how I miss seeing him on our TV screens that was before the BBC and the liberal left decided that only the new wave crap comedy could or should be seen on our TV screens. I bet he's up in heaven now doing five shows a week with God and all his angles laughing their bollocks off in the front row seats shouting " Tell us another one you fat bastard" We who saw him should count ourselves truly blessed. God bless you Bernard.
I read some were, Benard was a marine in his youth, and he once led a daring commando raid on a pork factory, he was in Ther for years fighting hand to mouth
Notice how he said about the blow up doll mugging you, and Lenny Henry is safe to walk home at night. No one cared , everyone laughed including Lenny. Different times eh?
My father worked in Manchester Town Hall and if any branch of Manchester civil society needed to raise money, like the Firemen for instance, they always approached Bernard first. He never said no, he gave them his club for free and did a free turn for them on stage as well. A true gentleman and comic hero
I'm gonna watch this once a wk he's the complete opposite of wat all stand ups are a shadow of themselves nower days cos as he says if he's offended anyone tat went 2 the show good enough for them going out of there way 2 be offereded 😁😁😁
some of his clean stuff is lifted from jerry clowers his fire engine joke for example at 3:30 /watch?v=g9VLykPWxSU the original interesting he was such a fan of jerry clowers ive heard him use some of his other jokes too
Saw him at his club several times....met him in person after a gig. Absolute gent and legend.
For me, funniest bloke ever.
Met him in Blackpool after his show.he offered to take us home….no swearing ,a true gentleman.RIP mate xx
He had the audience in the palm of his hand within 30 seconds. The greatest.
A true Englishman. He was actually a very charitable man too. Brilliant bloke!
He done a massive amount for Indian Children , Got them trips to Disney land by all accounts too, So the people who called him a racist were far off the mark

Lenny Henry = Epic Loser🤡
Lenny Henry, is about as funny as a burning orphanage.

The absolute master of timing and delivery, my all time favourite stand up.
A real comedian he was different class
The Greatest. Comedy is all about timing. His was the best. FACT. 😊🙏❤

Thank heaven he left us some performances so todays comedians can see what great comedy is like.
I went to his club once .he took the micky out of me .I still laughed my head off.
Manning was the best comic UK ever produced. Shame he was blacklisted by pearl clutching Media toffs
lol, he’s as r@cist and stereotyping af.

The OTT show from back in the day. Love Bernard

I bet Lenny Henry hated it cos people laughed at Bernard’s jokes
Yes, 'Sir' Lenny, destroyed the BBC, yet happily appeared on their Black and White Minstrel Show when he became famous.
That left wing crowd destroyed comedy loved Bernard Manning they can't stop us laughing
We are now told what we are allowed to laugh at well fuck that I still laugh at Bernard Manning old videos I'm 55 and have zero intention of letting the leftist ideology off the BBC tell me what's funny
@@MartinQuinn-g3k same mate, the sad thing is Bernard says “they can’t stop us laughing” in his routines. They actually trying their best Bernard!!

When fun was fun, what a fkd up world we live in now 🤦♂️
Dynamite. Best and sharpest comic ever.
only if you're a dummy
I class myself as a Liberal but Bernard took the piss out of everyone so clearly hated no one. Pitty society dictates what we find funny
Couldn't not agree more.. laughter is best medicine... period...
Absolutely agree. I'm a British jew and love the self deprecating humour. Fuckin class
Only if you let them! I still say what I want and laugh at what I find funny. Anyone taking offence, that's their issue.
It's not society who dictate that, it's the woke left and woke lefty liberals. Basically... the woke...!!!
You are absolutely right…he did exactly that…
We only ever had 2 comedians , Bernard manning rip. And Roy chubby brown or as Bernard manning used to call him. His love child 😅😅😅
Best comedian ever in my eyes....my only regret...never getting to see him live on stage....👍🇬🇧

From a much better time,a time when England was England for the English, the opposite of what it is today.
Hundred percent agree 👍
Seen him live 3 times in leicester during the 1970s. He was very funny guy and i love ALL of his jokes and im of mixed race from 1953
This was an adult extension of an ITV children’s programme called Tiswas and OTT was over the top.
What a brilliant comic no one Will ever be a great as him fantastic
Lenny Henry must have wished he was a thousandth as funny as Manning !
I too never found Lenny Henry the least bit funny.
