I wanted to talk to her (Cleo) personally, but some other psychic hotline was urging me to call them at 2am one night like I was under a damn spell. I thought, "I'll call. I'll stay on the line for the three free minutes and hang up". I had my own phone line in my room so I thought I was grown, ya know. Well, my stupid ass thought it would be a good idea to call and hang up after the first three "free" minutes MULTIPLE times. Well, on the last call I got caught up in the conversation me and the "psychic" were having. She didn't know I was NOT 18 (you had to be an adult to call) because I lied about my birthdate. {She should have known, right??} I asked her some crap about who I was gonna marry. I kid you not when I tell you that she gave me the "tall, dark, and handsome" line and then told me that I was gonna marry within a year! I should've hung up right then and there, but I was 13 and dumb as hell. After realizing that I'd been on the phone too long, I hung up and never thought about those calls again. Well, fast forward about 3 weeks to a month, I hear my mom yelling in the house, "Who in da hell called a psychic hotline!!!!!" I 'bout died!!! My heart skipped multiple beats! I felt like Fred Sandford calling for Elizabeth!!! Long story short: I got cussed out and life was threatened. The phone company was also cussed out and threatened. The people (a manager I presume) at the psychic hotline was also called and cussed out. Phone bill charges were dropped because I was a 13 year old minor. My phone was taken for months. Lesson learned. Never. EVER. Again. 😂

I wanted to talk to her (Cleo) personally, but some other psychic hotline was urging me to call them at 2am one night like I was under a damn spell. I thought, "I'll call. I'll stay on the line for the three free minutes and hang up". I had my own phone line in my room so I thought I was grown, ya know.
Well, my stupid ass thought it would be a good idea to call and hang up after the first three "free" minutes MULTIPLE times. Well, on the last call I got caught up in the conversation me and the "psychic" were having. She didn't know I was NOT 18 (you had to be an adult to call) because I lied about my birthdate. {She should have known, right??}
I asked her some crap about who I was gonna marry. I kid you not when I tell you that she gave me the "tall, dark, and handsome" line and then told me that I was gonna marry within a year! I should've hung up right then and there, but I was 13 and dumb as hell. After realizing that I'd been on the phone too long, I hung up and never thought about those calls again.
Well, fast forward about 3 weeks to a month, I hear my mom yelling in the house, "Who in da hell called a psychic hotline!!!!!" I 'bout died!!! My heart skipped multiple beats! I felt like Fred Sandford calling for Elizabeth!!!
Long story short: I got cussed out and life was threatened. The phone company was also cussed out and threatened. The people (a manager I presume) at the psychic hotline was also called and cussed out. Phone bill charges were dropped because I was a 13 year old minor. My phone was taken for months.
Lesson learned. Never. EVER. Again. 😂
