6 years with mine and every ride is a treat. never less than 75 mpg (US). Handling, breaking, power, comfort, looks, reliability! all superb. 57 years riding 60+ bikes owned several more ridden and the NC still amazes me.
Same here, 40 years of riding and in my opinion the Honda NC bikes are the most versatile bike if you take everything into consideration. A real Jack of all trades. I have two and they're here to stay. Safe rides 🙏🏍👍
Ray - looking for a versatile adventure-based bike platform (don't mind making some mods from stock). Will be used on long distance touring on dirt roads, forestry service roads in Arizona. Compacted dirt roads, but with potholes and the occassional obstacle - ... nothing 'offroad' though - In your experience is this bike a good fit for that use? Seems like the engine design and higher torque at low RPM is a love-it-or-hate-it-thing. But for me coming from a big bore V-Twin past, I think I'd be ok with that but haven't ridden one yet. Your thoughts?
@@dualdorks I have been running the 705s on my tiger for a while and they are surprisingly good in the sand and gravel. At least more than I thought they would be . I am going to try the 804/805s and see how they do on and off road . again , thanks for the videos
Thanks for the info. Came here via Dirty Dovi's recommendation. I'm studying the new NC750 with the DCT. I'm 64 and haven't had a Bike since the early 80's. I guess my Yammerhammer 250 Enduro was my most memorable back then. Doubt I will be off road much now days.
That was fun to watch . thanks for editing , and sharing . I love where you live. I have been looking into a nc700x as a commuter with the occasional dirt venture. Really enjoyed the video though.
That well used engine.. Hope you get your dub back on the trail soon. Great video. Whitney portal road looked a little sketchy with the ice, good idea to go another day.
Oh man that motor!!! Wow I couldn't beleive it. I am glad you showed us the video of the motor at the end so we could all see the damage. Sorry bud! Keep up the videos nice job. It's my entertainment lately😍
I too own a 700x, just finding out how nice the nc sounds with a new exhaust. Feel obligated to upgrade now haha. Enjoyed your video and great neighbors ;)
I own one. It is a great bike 700X NC 6 gear, shifter TopSpeed 113 mph. Every day bike unbelievable performance. great for traffic off-road country, roads and highway. my opinion complete bike ❤. I almost forgot. It is a very quiet bike.
I have a 2012 NC700X Honda for sale. Runs like new, recent service, new tires/chain/battery. Has a windscreen. 18,000 miles. 65-70mpg. Listed for $3500. Obo.
I'm unfortunately getting rid of mine soon as well . My transmission went out on it and it's been in a Honda shop for 3 months. Probably going to get a crf300l . I am tired of loading the 700 in my truck lol
Great video!!!! Man when you Blow up a TDub you go all out!!! Too bad Bro!! Sounds like you have a really cool Dad and His friend to help you out. Keep Smiling.
I've been really enjoying your nc700x dct content. As I've been researching them offroad cause I'm planning to get one and possibly doing some light trails and wondered how it might do in the dunes here in Michigan. I really like the dct but they seem to offer it on anything that not 500lbs. I plan to pick one up and focus on getting the weight down as much as possible!
Unfortunately I sold that bike because I didn't need 4 bikes. I'd get one again somewhere down the road if I ever get a barn to store my shit. It was an awesome commuter and with the low center of gravity it made for a sleeper ADV bike lol
@Dual Dorks there's a guy on here claiming he got his nc700x down 55lbs and he didn't appear to do alot. I have some ideas that should get it just under 400lbs! Then it would be a real sleeper 😁. 4 bikes! What other bikes you got? Absolutely epic scenic vids man! Reminds me of my red dead game 🤣
Wow! I love the sound of this thing. I am a good off-road rider, but I prefer more pavement oriented ADV bikes because I feel good off-road on most bikes already. I switched from KTM 1190R to Honda ST-1300, and I don't miss the KTM. I think this NC700X will be my next adventure bike. I should try the Africa Twin first though.
It's a great bike for 1/3 of the price for a GS . The NC750X has a bit better suspension if I remember right but don't quote me on it. Its got some different modes to if you got the DCT versions. I'm about to do the CABDR this month with it. Just got my skid plate and pannier racks in the mail today
The Africa Twin handles WAY better, on road, for sure. Love my AT. Took a test drive on a used 2015 700X, for my wife, and it felt unwieldy, comparatively. She thought it handled pretty well, but she’s never been on the AT.
@@petevredenburgh8899 Thank you for the recommendation! I definitely want a DCT on my next bike. I have Alta dirt bikes, and I am spoiled without a clutch and shifter. But they do not have the range to ride longer than 2 hours. A gas bike with an auto transmission should do the trick! They even installed a cornering ABS on the AT, after I told one of their guys at the bike show in Orlando that I want one! 👍
Since you're replacing everything, you might think about doing what I did with the DR and slap a big bore kit on. Then you won't have to go WoT on every hill/trail
Your TW was sounding off, a little clickier than I’m used to. I have way less miles I was blaming your microphone before you said this happened, but now I wonder if there was already an oil delivery issue. Sorry :(
Hi . What year is this TW200 ? What mileage was when you bought it ? Because it's not plausible to ruin that engine at 15.000 miles. The bike looks like it`s rather old and very worn out .Thank you.
Love that area you are in. Rode my 250 Nighthawk through on the way to Convict Lake for the night. I Like the headlight addition. Might try that on my bike. Don't s'pose you have a parts list for that?
I bought it at Ride motorsports down near Seattle actually in 2017. I unfortunately don't have that bike anymore I had to get rid of a few things. I'd get one again if a good deal and garage space pops up but only manual
Actually didn't even notice that until now lmao . Threw on that cheapo chain months ago and only rode it once . Thankfully I didn't have problems. Not usually like me to mess that part up
Never seen anyone having so much fun!

I'm impressed with that 700! You did a good job on cratering the Tdub. Great video keep up the good work.
With respect to adventure bike videos, this one wins best attitude.
The tdubs will rise again like a phoenix from the ashes!
Big shout out to his Dad and his dad's buddy for helping him out. Great vid.
Thanks much, the best off road look at this bike that I’ve found.
And on the 705s . great tire but I think they are 70% on and 30% off road . loved the video !
Yeah you are right . I love the tires compared to the stock tires the bike came with. The rear tire would spin in the rain

Love my NC700X as well!
I would never put loctite on a front sprocket unless I knew I'd have a decent impact gun during disassembly. Godspeed
Im kinda scared doing anything more than forest service roads on my NC, but honestly this is making me think otherwise 🤔

Id go with that, my TW125cc engine got borded in the Rolls-Royce jet engine factory in England ... its faster than DD's TW200. Tops out at 68mph
Hi, nice vid. please show TW engine when open, like see what is wrong. :) is at the end haha thanks
It is at the end
Thanks a lot. This is exactly what I was looking for. Did you deflate the tires?
No I didn't
"Welding a chain to it and using it as a boat anchor" lol
Did they find out how it happend? Maybe a cam chain broke or jumped a few teeth? If so maybe cam chain tensioner failed, interesting.
The engine is split open at the end of the video . It shows the damage. Engine is totalled

Right off the bat, that clip on the master chain link is backwards, FFS, Why would I consider anything else you have to say is valid.

put it in manual and try the trails using paddle shifters.

I don't remember the rating for offroad to on road but it's the shiko 705 and its q pretty decent tire
