the fitting comparison is so great! How about the leather? I always like the vintage with rich grain pattern and aniline, more than the heavy pigment repro
@@Murphy61363 From the late 40’s/early 50’s all the way up to the late 70’s/early 80’s. In the early 80’s, they removed the stars and put a snap on the top lapel. It was still called a 618. Then in the early 90’s they brought the stars back and called it 613 and kept the changes they made to the 618..I know it’s complicated lol
Really interesting! The old one looks so elegant next to the new one. Proportions of the width to length is really nice. Funny that new one looks different but it is how the proportions work. Great video and outstanding fit on you for the old one
great video man! Have you had any experience or knowledge of the old real McCoy’s Buco made in New Zealand? I have one, I guess it’s J-88 ( fire ball ?..), it’s about 30 years old, and it’s got some amazing tea core.
@@eranbarnahum829 Not the Bucos but I had a Real McCoys Wayward. Those jackets weren’t Shinki but the leather was practically the same. Mine “teacored” very very quickly
Awesome video Jon. I so want you to get your J-24 zipper sorted. Those are both incredible jackets!
@@telemarktumalo6978 I eventually will. I also think sometime I may just want to sell it
Speaking of Bucos I just happen to get a used j100 and I couldn’t be happier with the fit of it. It’s a fantastic jacket.
@@hermegonzalez1335 Nice!
Great video! The Mccoys looks on point

Awesome video man! keep em coming :D

Original talon pull you can swap in and it will work again as long as teeth are ok. Usually it's the pull that is problematic
@@AleFairchild Teeth are destroyed
Great video and content! Schott question; what years did the 618 have stars? Keep on truckin'.
