It is hard since I am so young and I pray everyday they make a cure. Bro this thing is no joke. When I got diagnosed, I had a bsl of 750 and was slipping in and out of consciousness. And I’ve had a time where I’ve had my blood sugar at 21!, i could only see black and could barely hear. Lucky I didn’t have to go to the er for the millionth time

I absolutely hate auto immune disorders. I have psoriasis and psoratic arthritis, another auto immune disorder where my immune system attacks my skin cells, just like the immune system attacks the pancreas of diabetes victims. I’ve had T1 diabetes for over 13 years now. For whatever reason, I’m just now starting to care about it. Still not understanding the science of it all, but this video is very helpful. And it helps me appreciate the technological advancements taking place. Like, it blows my mind that I have essentially an artificial pancreas in my pocket that will automatically monitor and track my blood glucose throughout the day. That’s insane. A few years ago I don’t think I could dream of that. Things are looking up for diabetics, I’d say.
I used make fun of it before I got it myself. I heard a conversation with my grandma speaking to someone about my disease and the person assumed I was typ2 even though my skinny ass was sitting in the back.

I diagnosed with type1 and my health care provider suggested me to use Ambrosia Nightrider with Libre. I am able to monitor my blood glucose values on my watch directly without scanning the sensor.

From personal experience, I've been at keto for a little above a year and I have regular blood sugar readings 85-100 compared to 300 when having metabolic issues. Keto works and is safe. I would recommend it to EVERYONE who has type I or type II. Although, if you consider this, please speak to your doctor since you will need lower insulin needs due to having 0g of carbohydrates. At this point I don't need any insulin. I nearly had a fatal accident tho when moving to a keto diet since I had new requirements for insulin : 0. This is my story. It is absolutely essential you speak to your doctor about changing the amount of carbs you consume to accurately dose insulin.

What is worse Type 1or Type 2?
Type 1. You genetically inherit it from your family as a child, your immune system completely destroys all your pancreas receptors, meaning you can only rely on insulin injections to maintain blood sugar and not your body. You also have no hope being able to better manage it or reverse it with diet, like you have some hope with type 2 diabetes if you catch it in earlier stages. Also, type 2 diabetes tends to occur at later ages, but can be caused at earlier ages by a diet very high in sugars. Having diabetes as a child with no fault of your own, as is the case with tape 1 diabetes, sucks much more!

Keto diet is horrible if your a type 1 diabetic
From personal experience, I've been at keto for a little above a year and I have regular blood sugar readings 85-100 compared to 300 when having metabolic issues. Keto works and is safe. I would recommend it to EVERYONE who has type I or type II.
Although, if you consider this, please speak to your doctor since you will need lower insulin needs due to having 0g of carbohydrates. At this point I don't need any insulin. I nearly had a fatal accident tho when moving to a keto diet since I had new requirements for insulin : 0.
This is my story. It is absolutely essential you speak to your doctor about changing the amount of carbs you consume to accurately dose insulin.
