I'm glad to know that if someone is HIV positive and takes medication to sustain a low viral load (200 ml copies or lower) in their bodily fluids, he or she can't transmit the virus to an HIV negative individual via unprotected sex, drug use, breast feeding, or child birth! And the other great news is that as long as his or her medicine is taken on time everyday, the virus will never progress to AIDS and he or she will live a full and healthy life!!! As a test of maturity, you and your partner should offer to go get tested together before engaging in sexual activity. In the US you cant force people to take a test. But...you can only hope your partner is not fragile & can take the question of testing themselves as a gesture of maturity. If your partner politely asks to get tested together, that should be a blessing. Unfortunately people get offended, and thats how the virus spreads. Theres a wave of people not using protection because they think “it could never happen to me” , & theres a wave of people who don’t want to get tested because “I don’t have it” and from that wave of people, they go on and unknowingly spread it. I personally wouldn’t have sex with someone who didn’t want to get tested. Not only because there are cruel people out there , but if I’m willing to get tested why can’t they do the same ? As a test of maturity, you and your partner should offer to go get tested together before engaging in sexual activity. In the US you cant force people to take a test. But...you can only hope your partner is not fragile & can take the question of testing themselves as a gesture of maturity. If your partner politely asks to get tested together, that should be a blessing. Unfortunately people get offended, and thats how the virus spreads. Theres a wave of people not using protection because they think “it could never happen to me” , & theres a wave of people who don’t want to get tested because “I don’t have it” and from that wave of people, they go on and unknowingly spread it. I personally wouldn’t have sex with someone who didn’t want to get tested. Not only because there are cruel people out there , but if I’m willing to get tested why can’t they do the same ?
