    The UK was first hit by 'The Beast from the East' in 2018. Now see the return of this front of stormy, wintery weather as it arrives in the north east of Scotland in February 2021!
    I captured this phenomenal battle between Stonehaven harbour and stormy North Sea over 2 days - the first was all about strong winds and spectacular seas, the second was a calmer day but the clouds were full of snow, a perfect contrast.
    I have kept all the clips I shot in original form and in the same order they were taken over the two days to bring you this storm in all its raw glory!

    Whenever I am being subjected to hypnosis or meditation, I am instructed to imagine myself in my favorite place, I inevitable imagine the worst storm ever with me in a warm, cozy and comfortable house with a blazing fire going while I safely can contemplate and watch the storm rage outside. This video is very close to my most favorite place.

    That's the first time i've seen any of your vids. Brilliant, loved the waves, wind, snow everything. The quiet voices in the background were like a relaxing lullaby. I'll save this and watch it often because it's natural and the way life is. What truly made it for me was because there wasn't any music. I've tried to watch some lovely vids but the music has me stopping it. I've also turned the sound off but there is no atmosphere, and it just sounds flat. I'll love looking at your other vids now. I have my fingers crossed you have more with normal natural everyday sounds. I used to live by the sea and miss it. I used to sit and watch and listen to the waves for hours. Thank you, you've given me a little piece of heaven.

    • @steve-marsh
      @steve-marsh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much Margaret! Alas most of my videos do have a soundtrack, but as I learn, it's something I'm trying to use less and less, I also much prefer the natural sounds. So don't judge me too much on some of the other ones hehe, stick with me and I'll get better :)

      @@steve-marshHi Steve please except my apology. I reread my comment i sent you and i phrased it wrong. That was the first vid i've seen of yours and i loved it. What I didn't make clear was that i meant other peoples vids that come up that i've watched sometimes have music. It can be louder than the people that are talking and it's annoying, so I tend to turn the sound down. I'm looking forward to watching more of your vids, so thanks in advance. I'm also quite new to youtube and learning something new everyday.

      So true! That storm gate works really well! It's quite scary to imagine being outside of it in a boat - I love boats but they also freak me out when I see this weather!

    Fantastic scenery. Love it . Chilly night here in Suffolk we managed -12 which is very unusual. The waves remind me of many years ago at my Grandmothers home possibly late sixties early seventies,there was freak wave that appears from nowhere and came over the harbour wall in Balintore ( seaboard villages) with terrific force. You can see the tiny fisherman standing on the near side as it hit. Absolutely incredible. I have a grainy photo taken at the time.

    • @steve-marsh
      @steve-marsh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh that's a cold one! I just googled 'Balintore Harbour' and there was an image of a massive wave coming over the wall! Looks a cracking wee place! Thanks for watching, stay warm!

      I will see if I can take a photo of my grainy copy to send to you, unfortunately the elderly folk who lived there at the time are no longer alive and I seem to have draw a blank who took it but it was a well know photo sold in the post office and on a calendar .
