Just curious - they are talking about conversion 1mile/on - shouldn't be there other way? 1600m is less than a mile. Unless they didn't explain it well.

My name is meredith corda im a rising senior and bri uh my name is brie im going to be a senior im annie im also going to be a senior im cassy im going to be a sophomore. haha, lil baby. and we're going to do a 1 mile time trial today with trainers with trainers. disclaimer, we haven't worked out in 4 months so this is gonna be really good. it's gonna be fun. and a day in the life. y'all know who it is, big daddy evert back in the house. pacing once again for like the 5th time 6th time this summer. I'm going to take them through 1500 and 98 meters and I'm going to stop like this much before I cross the line. How do I feel today? Not good, I'm tired, but someone once said good morning Kanye and he said shut the fuck up. welcome. Today we got the cowgirls doing a mile time trial. It's Evert pacing, and Anie, Brie, and Meredith. Honestly, no predictions. I think they're going to run pretty quick. Honestly, I have no clue what any of their fitness is, but um it'll be hard. I feel like this is going to go super well. We're about to PR today. What's the conversion? 6 seconds? Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah, so. The goal today is to run, I was gonna say 4:50 and that converts to, haha. If we run not very well, we won't put the time that we got, and then guess in the comments what we ran (but only if we run really slow). Today, today our goal is to run 5:05-ish because the 6 second conversion will make it 4:59 and my PR is 4:49, but definitely not in that kind of shape. We haven't really done any kind of speed work in the past 4 months, so yeah, just looking to have some fun today. My goal is the same as Meredith, I'm trying to run 5:05 out here. My PR in the full mile is a 4:47, 16:00 4:46. So, you know, we'll see how it goes. My PR is 4:41, but that was a long time ago, and I'm definitely not in that shape, but yeah. Probably same as Meredith and Annie like 5:05, 5:10, I don't know. We're just going to see. I just want to feel good, kind of. But yeah, we'll see how it goes. Uh yeah, so I'm not running today, because I had strep like less than a week ago, so still recovering. But my mile PR is a 4:52. So, everyday I look at my watch and it's just a reminder to get out there and run bitch. And it just really motivates me, so that's what I'm going to do. So, for Evert's pacing job I have a feeling he's just going to really take off. So, I'm a little nervous about that. But you know, everything is gonna be fine. I'll go with him you know. If he starts running a 60, I'll just start going. He knows exactly what pace we need. Whether we go out in a 60 or a 70 we're going to be just fine. I love Evert, but if he takes out in like a 75 will feel too easy for him, so he'll take us out in a 71, 72. And for us, I don't think I can hold that. That might destroy the race, but we'll see, we'll see. If it happens we can just blame it all on Evert. Shoutout to Audrey and Maddie Coney, my best friends in the whole world. She's booking it. Uh, she's at 4:56 right now. *heavy breathing* Absolutely feeling a lot of regret in this moment. Oh my gosh. Altitude is no joke. No confidence boost today; that shit hurted. You know, I'm pleased, I'm hurting. I didn't really have that great of expectations for this, so you know it was really fun to go out here and just go for it. That really hurt, but I honestly did the best I could, so. From, coming back to injury, it's been hard, but we're getting there. Slowly. Slowly, but surely. I felt shit. The first lap I was like oh shit, oh no, but honestly. I'm pretty happy with how we all did. With our trainers and all you know. Great day. And, we were supposed to do a tempo today so this is way better than doing that. Anie was lucky. She died off and then came back on some resurrection type shit. Yeah, she's a grinder, but that was fine. They finished the race, they got the times, they're drinking the water, I think Meredith might've just thrown up; I didn't see it though. Yeah, I think it was a pretty good day. Everyone is pretty happy. Anie kinda smashed. She was on Evert's ass on that last 250. She was, but. Solid for just getting up to altitude, so. I hate racing, I don't know why I chose this sport. Congrats. I'm actually really proud of us. The conversion, we ran pretty good, like, 5:02 is pretty good off of just summer mileage. No workouts or anything, we're just at altitude. It was pretty windy, go us. You know, maybe I don't hate running, that was fun. Yeah that was fun, no regrets. I enjoyed, I enjoyed watching it. Best coach ever, best coach ever. We're going to cooldown now and go to a creek to icebath and then make some breakfast then see where the day goes. Ok, we're back at the house. Anie and Brie and Cassie are at the creek taking an ice bath in the river, but you know I'm staying here learning how to say roast beef in French because I'm taking French 1, you know. Athlete grind. Student-athlete. So, we're going to wait for them for a couple hours until they get back and then we're going to eat some lunch. So, even though I'm taking French, I'm actually a German major at Cal, and I just wanna say shoutout all the German people watching this video. Comment something in German. *German*. If you know German, you'll know what I mean. Welcome to cooking with the Cal Team, nah I'm just kidding. So, we got back from the store. King Supers, we're going to make some veggie sandwiches today. Got some tomatoes, avocadoes, I don't know, we got a lot here, hummus, and of course pickles. Of course, so let's start cooking. Meredith is not cooking the best right now, because she is at her French class, but we'll make her a sandwich. It is very important for runners to fuel after running. Us Cal girls don't miss a meal, because it is very necessary for our training. Shoutout Yoccy. Oh my gosh, Yoccy. That's our nutritionist. In this household, everyone is welcome. The only people that aren't welcome are you racist fuckers. If you're racist, look at yourself in the mirror, and smack yourself cause you're worthless. Unless you change, but other than that, fuck you. We also have some Spongebob cups. *sip* So, the knife didn't really work, so I just ripped it instead. I think it looks pretty good. The fuck is that? You like it? I like like love it. We got the Chulula here. This is a classic. We used to go through one small bottle a week, so we had to resort to the big one. I finished my quiz, and now I have 5 minutes to eat before my actual class starts on Zoom. Oh my gosh you guys, this is a feast. Ok, my sandwich is still a work in progress at the moment. Just throwing some avocado on there. I'm making an open face sandwich, but I also have 3 minutes to consume this. They don't like when we eat on Zoom classes, so that's really sad. Some hummus, some avocado, romaine lettuce, tomato, and pickles, but I'm having some trouble because. Just open face. It's gonna fall, with everything I want. So, I just made it with 2 pieces of toast with everything I wanted on it. I ate one already. It was delicious, but it would've been a little better with mustard. What do you mean? But, absolutely delicious. The hummus, really, put it all together. This, how is this even a sandwich. A 7/10. However, this sandwich, I give it a 6.5. It's falling apart so it's lacking structure, but it tastes delicious. I'm rating my sandwich a 10/10, because I made it in 30 seconds, and my internet isn't working, and I'm stressed out. Guys.
