Bone stock a Sur Ron should do 45 ish mph on GPS. Green wire cut. If you want 50’s mph get Bac4000 or 8000 with battery BMS bypass. 70-80 mph need 72 volt with bac 8000
Great video. Which model of Kaniwaba is this? I see they have a few options. FYI: Longer socket wrench will give you more torque making it easier to get the bolts off, and a cheap spring expander will make putting the spring on and off a lot easier.
This is just the cheapest option they have without the ability to really pedal it… I appreciate those tips to bro I’ll be picking up a spring expander today

There are a few videos out there of me riding the bike with the pedals… the ones I installed did nothing they just spin in place. I never got pulled over with them on.
Where is the Gear that is suppose to move the chain while pedaling ?? Thought you wanted it to be functional just in case you run out of battery juice.

No I haven’t switched out to the assist kit I don’t really think I plan on doing it….. it really looks like they’re going to start cracking down and making us register these bikes…. That’s why I’m just keeping the fake pedals on there

Maybe San Juan Capistrano as well but from what I've been told, Dana and SC are the most strict while SJC tends to be a bit more chill. It worries me a bit since I plan to move in with a friend within the edge of Dana Point and my only daily commuter for work is my surron. What I may do is add a pedal kit with chain plus the kaniwaba bicycle seat post. It will make the bike ugly, but it's worth satisfying the cops and not getting pulled over.

@@lvlack420 don' think that true at all. I live in new york and according to the laws all ebikes must hve operable pedels and are limited to 20mph, except you can go 25mph in nyc. I just put the kaniwaba "ghost" pedals on myself to at least look somewhat like a bike but yeah you need pedals . please show me where you see otherwise

I think the point is this... If a police officer sees you at a red light or on a roll and sees the pedals, more than likely he will figure your are compliant.

my biggest question with this product is would you put pedals on a 110 gas dirt bike?(they go about the same speed 45-47mph) if the answer is no then why would you put it on the sur ron? the pedal design was created for a 50 pound bike and under not 120 pounds. not knocking the video itself but having ridden bmx for over 10 years prior to the sur ron i can tell you for a fact that pedals do not belong on this bike.

Torque spec for the foot peg bracket is 40-45nm not 25 however with the amount of thread lock you used those bolts are stuck forever . Cheers bro :)
