Many many years ago, I think it was in 2013, I watched one or two Fr. Lazarus' journey to the desert. It was interesting and now I can see it made a lasting impression on me. But over time, even if I didn't come back to learn more about him and coptic monasticism, recently for a reason I know but can't say much, I'm hooked again. Yes the words of St. Mary comes to mind as She says, thru the Power of the Holy Spirit, "He has shown strength with His Arm; He has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. He has brought down the powerful from their throne, and lifted up the lowely; he has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty." (Luke 1: 51-53) With this in mind, the testimony of Fr. Lazarus El'Anthony is one of the most important conversion story we can read or hear in this unbelieving generation. Thanks be to God to have witnessed what God can do to those who seek His Holy Divine Face. And yes to the Immaculate Heart of Mary to give us this gift.

[@ 2:29 min. mark] The power of holy example. See: "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold fast to the traditions, just as I handed them on to you." (1 Corinthians 11:-1-2) Christ IS Risen! +Peace+ : - )

I wish they had a better microphone especially to cut out the wind noise. It is a shame to not hear clearly these men's wise words!

The real spirituality and gnosis of God is to be attached to God and live within society teaching/guiding mankind and serving them. To hide from society indefinitely seeking God is a type of deficiency and weakness. There should be regular times of solitary worship and recharge certainly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. BUT must also be apart of society saving people from hell fire.

The call to solitude is just that-a call. The call to solitude needs no defense. It is a response to God. Some are called to apostolic work. That is their call. It does not negate the call some people receive from God to a life of solitude and silence.

When monks reach a certain level of holiness they act different in front of people as they do not want the people to think that they are saints, and in some cases they act crazy, act stupid and sometimes are very mean. See how your perception has changed of him? thats what he was aiming for and he has succeeded.

He attack you ? While praying 🙏 how along ago was this? Why did he do such a evil thing !! What was his response when you ask him why??? I was thinking about going there . hopefully you can explain what exactly happened. Before I decide to go there.

@@marcosmansour7599 in that case what your saying is that the Lord Jesus Christ the King of the Holly Spirit ?? The creator of the unervise. Is crazy.... Man you're barking on the worng tree.

This is a very serious accusation with no proof, honestly, I don't believe you, I have no idea who you are or what your motives are, I can see the sincerity of Father Lazarus and there have been many people who have known him that vouch for his character and gives him high praise for his devotion and commitment. If you're talking about Father Maximos, then at least you better provide some proof or elaborate on your story, this way it just seems like another crazy person on the internet trying to defame a man who forfeited the world to become a monk.
