Sir Shina truly grow up in Ijoko!!! My mom is like a big sister to him and told me story of how Sir Shina used to make all the kids turn pale (koroba) to drum 🪘for him to beat on the way to river to fetch water😁😁!! My mum said he is real ipata (rascal)😁😁😁. This is really documentary of all these legends you’re doing🙌🏿👍🏿.
The man Sina is innocently nasty as Juvenile, but is a very honest man and i love him with emotions with all exaggerated scandals attached to his name. He definitely made a strong impact within time, that can only be God. It was when i went to serve in Akwa-Ibom 2005 that i knew the man music was above board, across nation, outsider appreciate his music more, Hausa , Igbo e.t.c how many musicians could boast of that?
When you see a successful man you begin to envy him and wish you were the one not knowing what he had passed through in life. SSP story captures Yoruba adage that says"Oju Eni mala Ari iyonu" Road to success is full of thorns and pains. A good lesson to our youths.
This Knight earned my respect . I never knew he's so humble , so intelligent , so plain and so God fearing . Sir Shina Peters , may Almighty God continue to increase your wisdom , knowledge and understanding . May you live very long in the land of the living .
Me too. He's taken in the butts and the bruises well enough. The scars are all over him but thank God for His Grace upon this humble and happygolucky man. May God continue to keep him safe and sound.
I can see why Shina Peters is so pleasant whenever he meet people both old and young it beacuse of what he has been through in the past. I so munch love SSP is part of my childhood.
This interview has given me a change of heart towards Sir Shina Peters positively. This interview has shown that SSP is averagely plain, honest and also spiritually awakened. Agbaletu, you are a good interviewer. This your interview of SSP is richly done with wide research and maturity and is AWARD deserving. Thanks to Sir Shina Peters too for those indept revelations about his origin and life. THE ONLY THING I MISSED ABOUT SIR SHINA PETERS WAS THAT WHEN HE SSP WAS THE MOST ON TOP, THERE WAS NOT MUCH OF HIS LIVEPLAYS IN CIRCULATION THEN LIKE THOSE OF BARRISTER, SUNNY, OBEY AND THE REST AND SO, I DID NOT HAD VARIETY OF HIS COMMERCIAL LIVEPLAY TAPES. Agbaletu, well done for your calmness and for your always allowing the interviewee to fully express himself to logical points. Agbaletu, I also like your posture in SSP's house as you looked fresh and composed. Well done SSP & Agbaletu. Good work from both of you.

SSP, you just Added more Stars to your Love in my Heart. I have known SSP in the Early '70s @ Araromi Street/Macarthy Lane, Oshodi. AGBALETU, you're the Best in what you do. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I watched the full interview before going to bed with no time. Thanks Baba SP for granting Agba man this interview. Also love when he apologies to that man of a question though😊😊😊. Nice watching and more grace to you sir
Sir Shina Peters is my greatest artist of all time for me. Great interview by the interviewer, such a wonderful listener. May you continue to live long sir. Q
Shina Peters was my childhood. Growing up in Surulere Lagos in the 90s, this man had a profound effect on me and no matter what i will always have fond memories of him. I named my son after him. I really hope i can be in the financial position to invite him to play at my birthday whilst he is alive. God bless Sir Shina Peters.
This is a compelling interview from which one can learn a lot. I watched the whole interview from the beginning to the very end. Kudos to Shina Peters. Long live Shiba Peters.
Ssp is a very humble man to the core and I happen to be one of his fans as far back as 1972.I love his music so much; all his songs are very inspiring, philosophical and intriguing. He is a man of the people.
Akanbi Oluwasina, I am proud of you. I respect you the more now. Deep, matured, intelligent than most of us with plenty degrees. I bow for your Spiritualism. Truely, you are an Icon.
After carefully listening and watching both interviews with Segun and Shina....I might be wrong but Segun wronged Shina.....long live SSP...being your fan since 1988!...❤
Thank Dele from UK for a fine interview; for your research and professional stance. More grease to your elbows. I agree that unlike KWAM 1 and some others SSP was not able to build on ACE & Shinamania! This unfortunate has been the fate of NGA and its nationals. We are rooting for you Agbaletu that you keep improving. I used to enjoy Mogbede and Nigbati; TH-cam shows doing the what Dele is doing; both are sadly gone or almost gone. A kan sara Dele.
I doff my hat to Dele Agbaletu! He came to the interview fully prepared. Yet, he never interrupted the interviewee Sir Shina Peters throwing out each question when the latter responded. Good job!
Honestly if any babalawo or priest predicts that I will ever watch this interview, spanning over 2 hours, I will dispute it. Never ever thought I'll have the time. But here I am. Kudos to the interviewer & Agbaletu TV. One instructive thing SSP said which resonates with me is that all those his old fans are still his good friends unlike some other stars who are fair weather friends.
Very good and greater interview with Agbaletu Dele Adeyanju and Sir Shina Peter's I really love it, long Life Agbaletu Dele Adeyanju long Life Sir Shina Peter's,
Very educative, informative and entertaining,, and please, continue to keep it up! Greetings, again to Sir Shina Peter - the Afro JuJu Creator, more grease to his elbows. With love ❤❤❤❤❤😂👍
This was an AMAZING discussion, maturity , interviewer DID his research, asked recant questions and allowed SSP to flow and expressed himself SSP is a LEGEND about life, street smart and correct happening OG. Respect and Regards
Very good interview. However, l observed that hardly will your guests not mention late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and it's always in a positive ways. May his soul rest in peace.
I have taking time to thoroughly assess this interview and these are my findings 1. Afro juju is just a variant of Juju music just like Apola,Adawa,Miliki. It will just be delusional to continue pushing this clueless narrative that Afrojuju is a novel sound and it salvaged Juju music. On this thread, a veteran music producer ODION IRUOJE put paid to this same narrative that Afrojuju is just Shina's style of Juju music and nothing new. I can also recall so many interviewees confirmed that the greats i.e. KSA & OBEY have been pushing the Juju genre to the limits by including funk and pop elements into their repertoire. I would have thought my good friend, AGBALETU, would have asked Peters some hard questions regarding the Afrojuju being different from the mother genre Juju music. Perhaps, I sensed that Mr. ADEYANJU could not ask since he is also a fan of Shina peters. 2. The legacies of the greats such as OBEY & KSA will always outlive shina peters. Shina alluded to the fact that the greats have been there for so long without any challenge. Well the answer is simple, DO YOU REINVENT THE CIRCULAR WHEEL for the sake of invention? The greats were simply smart to remain at the mantle for close to sixty years and still counting, and still are. And if shina was smart, he would still be on heavy rotation and circulation. In reality, Afrojuju variant is a weakened Juju music and thrives on heavy percussion and fast tempo at best. But Juju on the other hand, thrives on guitars, guitars and more guitars. The Fuji, you thought was holding sway then is now sounding Juju music. Every fuji band now has three to four guitars in their line up. In a way if K1, is sounding Juju then juju genre can never die. Every Yoruba genre borrowed from the rich tapestry created by juju grand fathers Ojoge Daniels ,Ambrose Campbell etal"
I never really know he went through this much. I also appreciate that he debunked the rumour on his relatioship with KSA. When we were kids they fed us with those lies and all, that some of us nearly took sides and fans. It was really great time.
This interview with SSP is worth watching I have not spent my time this long on TH-cam I learnt a lot from SSP even the interviewer enjoyed his time and I like how Agbaletu did his research well on SSP before coming to him that shows professional from him keep it up brother.
