Have you thought about fitting a ARB diff lock ? I have an early 416 which was fitted with a diff lock from the factory, which is a great get out of trouble option. Now buying at 313 (2014) and looking for aftermarket diff-lock options. I have found ARB now do one for Sprinters, but not found a UK supplier yet.

@@urbanarkoverland OK well that is the long term ambition that I am working towards, but for now I am trying to make the best of 2nd. Not easy when you have a background/history of 4x4.
@@harmonicalchemy5803 to be honest. A 2wd with a locker is probably way more capable than the awd 👍🏻

After 20 years with vw transporter vans I now have a mwb 906 . Love the van but the road and off road handling has shocked me
I parked on Weston super mare sand beach alongside hundreds of other cars , the parking attendant pointed me to a spot with slightly deeper sand . I got stuck . I had to find a family with kids and borrow their bucket and spade and dig my way out !
How do those BFG tyres handle wet tarmac ? I aquaplaned on a small puddle the other day with max miller pro tyres ( I see they are cheap )
