One of my favorite thrift finds was finding a gigantic picture frame that was half off the thrift store price. It houses my inthereads The Continent map
I thrifted more this year than I ever had before, after selling and donating so many clothes to slowly change my wardrobe to what I'd dreamed of it being. You're one of the people that's been inspiring me a lot in style and what to keep an open eye and mind for while thrifting! It really is possible to find things you can be SO confident in and that you can keep for a long time if you're patient enough to find it one day.
Aw I love that! Thrifting is such an amazing way to discover your style in a fun way. I’d take it over buying in conventional stores any day 😂

I really enjoyed all the woodland and fairy decor you've been collecting this year. I don't think I realized just how grandma and cozy it all was until you smooshed it into one video lol. we have both entered our grandma arc and I am also, here for it. as for your butterfly chandelier - I've seen a lot of home decor channels use battery operated light bulbs in them so you don't have to hardwire them. this is especially useful if you're a renter or move often! the battery just pops directly into the lightbulb so its super easy too. (I know you said you want to do it 'right' but just wanted to offer a temporary solution so its still useful as a light fixture in the meantime!)

They’re so whimsical aren’t they?? I love them a lot. They invoke such a childhood nostalgia even though I only recently started collecting them.
The noise I made when I saw that Dread Pirate hoodie was probably obscene, but it's so effing amazing that I have no words for it. I've liked a LOT of the stuff that you've hauled, though I'm not really sure just which ones are my faves (and now I feel like I need to go back through your videos to refresh my memory lol)... I'm not quite as into the grandmacore as you are, but a lot of the whimsy stuff and the cottagecore stuff speaks to my soul. As for what I like the most that I personally thrifted.... it's quite possibly either the insanely soft deep blue sweater I found several months ago, the pumpkin orange (not a color I normally wear! But I love it) sweater I found roughly the same time, or the simple maroon longsleeved shirt I got a few weeks ago - none of them are super exciting but I have needed something like that maroon shirt for a while, and its sleeves are so long I love it!

You really are a thrifting wizard! One of my favorite thrift finds is a pair of dark brown adventurer boots. I love them so much that I’m trying to find a replacement pair before they die lol!

This was fun, thank you! I have found some great items thrifting but my absolute best was a pair or Anthropologie green cargo pants (sounds gross but they were high waisted and perfect for the 1940s adventurer look I was going for) that were on a $0.99 tag sale day. I loved them but the best part was I got them home and found $99 in the pocket! Best deal ever!

I love your jumpers, they're all so cute. It was interesting when you said you really found your aesthetic in the last 2 years for your home, because I changed mine and really found mine as well. I've always loved gothic style, but I've always loved antiques as well, so I've combined them. It's a work in progress but I'm getting there 😊 xx

I love all the fairy illustrations! I’ve been watching your videos for quite some time and I don’t remember them so I’m so glad you showcased them! My favorite thrift find is either a set of watercolor like Pooh bear and Christopher Robin mugs or a small bowl made of ox horn (or some animal with large horns). It’s super unique and I haven’t seen anything like it since.

From this video I very much like this bookstand thingies with the globe and the nightgown dress. From the other videos I just looooove almost everything autumny no matter if thrifted or not. You have such wonderful sweaters and cardigans with leaves on it if you were here you had to be careful that I didn't steal them 😁😉😍 I wish we had those here too but alas I've never seen anything like that and I really don't want to get into hand embroidery. Crocheting is kind of nice but I also don't want to pick it up again at the moment. I just don't have the space and nerves for yet another hobby. Plus I have soooo much fabric it's kind of unhealthy right now and yet I will probaly buy some more on monday because there is this shop next town that's closing down and that is their last day and the rest of the fabric they still have is dirt cheap. So even though it's fabric I normally wouldn't consider buying I will do so now because this girl needs sometimes fabric for mockups and I can use it for lining. Well maybe I can sew something jackety and then sew leaves on it? 🤔 I could to certainly try at least.
Ooo yes before I finished reading I was thinking you could make cute leaf patches out of scrap fabric and sew it onto an existing jacket or cardigan. That would be so cute! Especially if the pieces went well together theme wise but mismatched. Like a patchwork look!

thrifting is one of my all time favorite past times I cant wait for more content! Especially when nowadays there's more fast fashion, new companies, new styles, more sales, I think its more fun to just find your style in hundreds of racks in a thrift store and have a little scavenger hunt that's way cheaper than to go online or to a really expansive brand and only afford like one t-shirt and a pair of pants rather than like 10x that amount. its a good past time even just to watch! AND I LOVE THE COTTAGECORE FINDS LIKE AAAAAAAA keep up the great work!!! *also I would totally ub to dress me up poppy :D*
i am not sure about pastell and red hair. I am ginger too, but i avoid red and pink/pastell rose tones. The sweater gave me a nice buffy deja vu. Willow before she get too much in the witch thing. During Corona there was no flee markets. And this year i was only in one store and found a wonderful long blue dress with unique armshape. Looks like circle arms, if this makes sense. Very wide, gazing throug the material, and the rest in princess line dark blue dress. Love it so much, but to less partys for such a nice dress. I like your Books and the spyglass. Looking forward for more of your videos. Have fun and enjoy the time until christmas
It definitely depends on the shade of red hair and ones skin tone undertones. My sister in law is super into the color pallets/seasons thing and has been professionally draped. Apparently I’m a true spring? I can only get away with pastels if they aren’t too desaturated and some bright colors are mixed in. And only specific shades that have warmer undertones. Color draping is super complicated and I won’t begin to understand it haha. But allowing myself to experiment with colors has helped me to find new colors I thought I could never pull off that actually look amazing.
@@DressMeUpScotty i have warm copper, with at least some tendency for grey. But i stay pale, even in summer. Dont burn easy, but i dont get brown. I like dark blue and dark green on myself. When i see you wearing mustard yellow, i love it on you, but i am not brave enough to let such a colour in my wandrobe
oh my GOSH that goose sweater :O honestly everything was so GOOD but the sweaters always get me lol. my favorite thrifted find this year was probably some green and tapestry material shorts!

I've had a lot of good finds at my local thrift store, not clothing though, household thigs/holiday decor/things for my sewing room.
ThredUp has been a pain for me. Its plus is second hand so not giving money directly to the fast fashion companies, but it is still selling fast fashion which means a lot of poor quality stuff. At best I keep 3-4 out of 8-10 items. Most end up returned for being mis-described level of "like new"-ness, and plain wrong fabric content. I have 1 wool sweat from there (no tag) that is hell bent on falling apart, I keep resewing the turtle neck collar back on. I got so frustrated at one point I stopped buying for a year so they had to issue a gift card of the balance of my store credit. I gave it to a family member.
Yeah for me ThredUP fails to list measurements correctly. They listed a size small pair of pants as having a 28” waist and it had a 24” waist… with a 10” rise 😟 such a huge difference! They have done that numerous times. I’ve been getting really picky with what I order so when the couple items I do order end up being duds I get frustrated haha.

It isn’t thrifted but an old fast fashion purchase from a couple years ago. I have seen them in thrift stores more recently though. I noticed a few at my latest goodwill trip!
