Ainz is literally playing checkers and yet everybody thinks he is playing chess( i admit this analogy kinda insults Ainz) and at the end of episode 7 he makes it worse by implying he is playing 4D chess.
I think a more apt description is that Ainz is playing chess, and everyone else thinks he's playing 5D chess with hundreds of opponents simultaneously. He really is good at strategy and thinking ahead, but he's a business man who is very out of depth when it comes to matters of state, but not in a position to ask anyone for help.
There is a theory that Ainz could be unconciously smart thanks to his intelligence stat from yggdrasil. That combined with his business skills as an office worker and luck stats might explain how he sometimes do really smart/lucky moves as a supreme one. I.e. the man has speech 100 with high intelligence
interesting. I hadn't heard this theory. Could absolutely be true, as game is already affecting Ainz mentally and physically in other ways. Though I prefer the version that Ainz is skating his way through accidentally through a combination of overcaution and a lack of arrogance (two traits not common in the BBEG stereotype), while everyone else is overthinking it.
Osk admires warriors, but he himself isn't built for fighting, so his dream is to train the ultimate warrior. And since trolls are so much stronger than humans, Go Gin was a perfect partner. Also, Osk is such a pervert that he thinks a human-troll hybrid would be an interesting new student. Go Gin on the other hand feels that any human woman who'd wanna sleep with him is disgusting. Also, Headhunter Rabbit is a man. And a mercenary assassin.
It's hard not to feel bad for Jircniv, he's just a good ruler trying to protect the future of his country, it's not the poor man's fault that beings with such terrifying powers have appeared nearby overnight. I mean, he is legitimately justified in being so desperate.😖
Fan speculation (not confirmed by the author) posits that there is a hidden intelligence/charisma/luck stat that Ainz coincidentally maxed out when he finished his Yggdrasil Overlord of Death role play build. Traditionally stats like Intelligence and Wisdom enhance spellcaster classes, so it would make sense that Ainz would have high stats in those, if they secretly existed, in Yggdrasil. The maxed Charisma speculation is that since he was appointed as Guild Leader and was ostensibly in control of the Nazarick dungeon, the game just assigned him a commanding presence stat to explain the control he’d have over the NPCs and his guild mates, basically adding a secret stat (the developers were huge fans of hidden mechanics) that really showed its power once Ainz was in the new world. The speculation about the maxed luck stat is due to his role play class’ reliance on instant death skills and debuffs that classically have allowed targets to make “saving throws” against to resist the effects. As a master of death secret class, there might be a hidden luck stat maxed out in his favor to give his instant death spells the highest possible chance of overcoming any saving throws resists by the targeted enemy. It would explain stuff like how stuff always works out for him, and how he always seems to be in the right place at the right time to maximize his effectiveness, and how everyone, not just his NPCs, stands in awe of him. It isn’t canon, but it’s fun to think about when Ainz just happens to drop by the arena right as Jircniv was meeting with the Theocracy, and unwittingly drives him into a corner with what Ainz sincerely meant as a greeting but was interpreted as not so veiled threats and innuendo by Jircniv and the priests from the Theocracy.
Ainz also has a skill called "Dark Wisdom" which theoretically, could be the cause if the theory is true. Dark Wisdom is what allows him to go past the Learned Spell cap.
Osk, the promoter, met Go Kin ten years ago when he would challenges anybody he met, but would spare those who lay down their weapons. The Empire was gonna send Fluder to kill him, but Osk thought it would be a terrible waste to kill such a strong warrior that he met with Go Kin first and then formed their partnership. Right before Go Kin left to fight Ainz, Osk asked if he was willing to mate with a human woman to leave behind an child he can raise; but Go Kin refused cause he is disturbed on the idea of a human woman who would sleep with war troll like him.
Vassal States were a thing back in Medieval times. A Lord could have an 'underling Lord' who would report to him. You see in a lot of movies/shows, the phrase "Call the Banners" (like in game of thrones. Every house under the Starks were Vassal houses.) It means to get every Vassal Lord to bring his own army up to help fight. They were "independent" but also attached + loyal to the main state.
Guys, look out for the mistranslations in the next few episodes, especially ep 8. Crunchyroll messed up the translation between the Slane theocracy and the Roble Holy Kingdom. I can’t believe they have yet to fix this blunder 😑
Ain’t gonna lie most of the time I just sit here rewatching your channels intro like 3 or 4 times absolutely love it haven’t come across a reaction channel with an intro anywhere near as impressive
The funny part about all this is that Ainz is literally just dropping by to say hello and asking Jircniv who his guests are. Ainz is the epitome of "fake it until you make it"; he really doesn't know what he is doing -- he's just a normal dude at heart, after all -- but everyone assumes that he is playing four-dimensional Chess.
I love how people start getting quiet once they hear that it's Ainz that will be fighting. As if they all just go "Wait, you mean the guy that just massacred one of the biggest armies of history, just with one spell?"
Being a vassal state means that they're under Ains rule instead of being equal in an alliance like they were before, while maintaining a degree of independence. So they're not technically part of the Sorcerer Kingdom, they're a separate state that serves the Sorcerer Kingdom
I notice a lot of people don’t bring it up, but in the uncut version of Ainz’s discussion with Ainzach it was revealed Ainz’s reasons for scouting adventurers in the Empire rather than his own country. AniNews covered it in his cut content video. But essentially Ainz knew that there were very few experienced adventurers in his kingdom. Meaning the only potential candidates left to recruit would be those that were ignorant of the adventurer lifestyle(including financial insecurity and the overwhelming risks to one’s life). Ainz was worried that his offer would not sound as appealing to such inexperienced people as it would to adventurers whose dreams of true adventure had been crushed by reality. Also Ainz didn’t want to finish construction on his training facilities for the new recruits until they had a baseline. If he built it too big it would be a detractor and people might criticize him for it. Similarly if it were too small to accommodate the candidates than Ainz’s promise to support the guild would be brought into question. That was the true purpose in making his offer in the Empire with many experienced and potential adventurers. It was the perfect test to determine how many recruits they could expect to receive once the guild’s facilities were finally built. Ainz may not be a political genius, but as a businessman he is very sensible.
To explain that last attack; Ainz is lvl100 so all attacks below lvl60(?) get NULLIFIED. It was turned it off during most of the fight so GoGin was able to beat him around. He turned it on at his request and killed him.
A Vassal State is a country that submits to another country to some degree. It keeps its culture, Religion, Laws and even ruler etc. But in a hirarchy it is subordinate to its overlord. The overlord generally has the right to enact new laws, rules or changes within the country (but mostly keep them as they are). However, vassal states need to follow the overlord country (fitting name btw), in everything it does and is basically considered part of their domain. Meaning for example declaring war on a vassal is the same as declaring war on its overlord and the other way around. You could almost see it as a colony or state in the US. They have some autonomy and their own rules, laws and culture but in the hirarchy there is something above them. The Ottoman Empire is a great example. They vassalized some countries, let them kept their religions and culture but they awnswered to the empire and some laws (like tax I think) were enacted empire-wide (so the vassal also needed to enact them). That beeing said, they gave their vassals a good amount of autonomy to solve their issues by themselves. Ofcause things like walking between borders, or trade is greatly improved between the countries and normaly encouraged since in an economical sense they are now part of the same domain. I believe, there is also the case of vassal-states becoming so close to their overlord-country over time that they basically join the country in a peacefull anexation. So yeah, Vassal state = state with less degree of authority. But it is still a state which rules themselves and (in some cases) has some degree of say, but is ultimately subservient. Hope that helps and most of it is accurate :P
Imagine being Jircniv. You’re effectively the greatest ruler of the age, you’ve forged your own empire from the oppressive and rotten yolk of feudal monarchy, and you create a land that really is accepting of all peoples from all walks of life and that encourages exceptionalism through merit and hard work. In any other situation, this should be HIS MOMENT IN HISTORY to be one of the few individuals alive who can change everything by simply doing something. Then some Skelly Boi shows up and dabs all over everything you’ve ever built. Yeah I’d be losing my mind if I were him as well.
Another Fun fact: during this series of events in the Empire, Ainz really just wants to be friends with Jircniv (the emperor) and is real lonely, we wants to talk about all his troubles being a leader. He even goes as far as watching him with his viewing mirror randomly to help learn how to be a better leader. its actually super sad when you think about it.
Fun fact: Ainz was terrified that the warrior king might not accept his revive request. He would've looked like a dumbass if the warrior king decided to just stay dead.
There were some really fun callbacks in the fight this time. The daggers Ainz uses are enhanced reproductions of Clementine's daggers (remember the psycho woman in the graveyard Ainz hugged to death), similar to the enhanced reproduction of the lizardman's Frostpain sword he used against "Jaldabaoth". Each one stores a single spell. Aside from that and the name callback, there is another that is easy to miss: the thing Ainz does when charging the Warrior King (the dark wave mid-charge, not the touch attack) is the Level 1 version of his Aura of Despair, which makes enemies hesitate out of fear. We saw the Level 5 version used against the previous troll he fought, when he insta-killed everyone in the room.
A vassal state is secondary to a dominant state. A country that does not have full sovereignty despite having it's own government and figure head. For example when a country would submit to a stronger power and pay tribute to them for protection or any other reason, like the Roman Empire.
If you guys haven't noticed. Ainz was using Clementine's daggers. He also copied her stances and movements, except the Martial Arts skills. Also Ainz is the epitome of "Fake it till you make it".
I can't wait to see them get back to Jircniv in the future and see just how much of a good decision it was to become Ainz's vassal. In his desperation he unknowingly made the best decision of his life as well as the empires future.
The only anime reaction channel I like. Most other channels are all hype, but you three actually analyze and look into each episode and the whole story. Subbed. Probably gonna get a patreon as well but don't have any money for that yet.
About the Bunny Hunter They showed he's hands because even when he is a high level fighter, he was so afraid of Ainz that he hurt he's hands, yanking the fur out them, in order to keep himself from running away.
10:30 as the first dagger had fire imbued, the last dagger had acid. That’s the liquid which entered the warrior king and dissolved him from the inside
Ainz has good managerial skill like workplace effectiveness. He is also extremely skilled in PVP and military tactics. But beyond that politics and nation building are out of his realm of expertise.
A part omitted from this scene was whe Ainz told the warrior king not to refuse revival (as that's an option) and truly serve him. And when Ainz went to demonstrate his power over death he was comically nervous as he could've been made to look foolish
The weapons that Ainz used against the Warrior King this episode is actually what used to be Clementine's (The woman that dies to Ainz hug) weapons or rather a mass produce type based on that weapon.
A Vassal state is almost basically what the States in the USA are. They all have a few different 'rules' to each other but mostly the same 'rules' and answer to a central power that is the President and Congress.
By the way about touch me name is like that is because of the glitch he found and used in like a pve of the mmo which he won, and the reason is because literally no one can touch him
A vassal state is a country or sovereignty that submits to the reign of another country called an Overseer. It’s similar to a puppet state where the overseer country oversees and controls everything they do but vassal states have at least some level of autonomy. At times, they can act as a bulwark or buffer zone between another nation or be used as proxy to fight in a war without the Overseer country being directly involved.
Ainz does have more than just strength he is good at battle strategies and he is an amazing salesman. He is good at recruiting people to his side and he is extremely cautious to the point where he plans every detail of every fight out. He lacks in areas such as politics or kingdom level management. Thus he is an idiot in those areas.
The Length of your Name is Status, in the world of Overlord; common people have 2 names and high Ranking Nobles should have 5, El-Nix only has 4 and even thought he's the emperor some nobles have question about his status
When Emperor was cheering for troll, Ainz thought that he was just a big fan of Go-gin (like a football fan or something), so at the end he said that "he was just lucky to win", so as to not hurt his feelings as a sports fan.
Here’s what y’all missing…it’s not that all Ainz has is strength, it’s that he is so strong that nothing else matters…no plots, no plans, no divine f’kery can overcome him, it might as well be the buzzing of insects. Effectively Ainz is a human, the citizens of the non-Ygdrissil world are gnats that he is choosing to pay attention to.
Some fun points, (Minor things left out but not heavy Spoilers) -By Ainz giving Fluder the book the language of higher magic will now be Japanese - 12:07 Congratulations you've found who I believe to be the smartest in the series, simply because he saw through Ainz's BS -This Was the first time Ainz has taken damage since the shaltear since he disabled his damage immunity passive incident (and the scripture fight technically) -The reason Ainz had the martial lord wager his loyalty is because resurrection can be refused and he would've looked dumb in front of every (least that's my theory) -The weapons he was using were from clementine (Chick who got emoted on and died) and enchanted with spells and enchanted by Fluder but after use he thought it to be Overkill -Jircniv actually set up a system to watch Ainz so he knows when he's entering the Empire so he can be Observed for obvious safety precautions, the fact he was able to get in undetected and show up made him think that he planned everything so far which is why he ends up falling into madness about his own choices and whether or not Ainz is puppeting him

I think a more apt description is that Ainz is playing chess, and everyone else thinks he's playing 5D chess with hundreds of opponents simultaneously.
He really is good at strategy and thinking ahead, but he's a business man who is very out of depth when it comes to matters of state, but not in a position to ask anyone for help.
you mean him thinking out loud infront of demiurge? definitely
Though I prefer the version that Ainz is skating his way through accidentally through a combination of overcaution and a lack of arrogance (two traits not common in the BBEG stereotype), while everyone else is overthinking it.
that theory has no sense because intelligence and luck stat do not exist in yggdrasil
@@Vauvenal It kinda does in physical form, like his mana and negative energy.
there isnt any stat like that tho, man is smart normally its just he overthink most of thee times
@@viswaav6122 Didn't he have a high charisma stat?
Fun fact:
the two lil swords that ainz pulled out belonged to clementine from S1
Oh damn ainz really is a true gamer to pick up every drop from defeated enemies lmao
Ainz's style of fighting with them also imitates Clementine's style
@@ayelmao1919 yeah he even copies her technique, tho not exactly Clem's crouch-attack, he rushes the enemy real fast at the start
Ainz also avoided using twin greatswords because his fighting stance might reveal his secret identity.
Ainz: Yeah I think i should go talk to him, i feel kinda embarassed just showing up.
Jircniv: We surrender.
Ainz: Oooookay?
Osk admires warriors, but he himself isn't built for fighting, so his dream is to train the ultimate warrior. And since trolls are so much stronger than humans, Go Gin was a perfect partner. Also, Osk is such a pervert that he thinks a human-troll hybrid would be an interesting new student. Go Gin on the other hand feels that any human woman who'd wanna sleep with him is disgusting.
Also, Headhunter Rabbit is a man. And a mercenary assassin.
Hey why did the headhunt rabbit show its hand when asked for its opinion 🤔?

@@curiosityitty if you see closely his hands is sweating because of fear
It's hard not to feel bad for Jircniv, he's just a good ruler trying to protect the future of his country, it's not the poor man's fault that beings with such terrifying powers have appeared nearby overnight. I mean, he is legitimately justified in being so desperate.😖
Oh don't feel too bad, he will get better after this. Not gonna spoil much but let's say he will be happier than ever.
@@d7603 Oh, I know, I guess in difficult moments having a good friend by your side always makes everything seem more bearable.
Jircniv: “F$&@ing end him, Warrior King!!”
Ainz: “He’s really getting into this…”
Vassal States were a thing back in Medieval times.

Everyone be playing Starcraft, Total War and Command and Conquer while Ainz is out here obliterating them with Candy Crush.
That Ron clip got me rolling!
Ainz dropping the whole Guidemaster in the near by 7-11 ceiling🤣
Only Overlord can make you love a character in a single episode
my man Ainz gave the old wizard a storybook basically, and dude was Sasuga-sming
Fun fact, those stillettos (daggers) Ainz used in the fight are the ones Clementine from S1 wielded
When i got to this episode, i laughed my ass off when it was revealed that it was all a happy coincidence!
Ainz out here making genius moves on accident 🤣
Believe me jircniv decision to become with ains
Is the best decision he made in his life
These edits are going 11/10 today! I love it!!
3:34 LMAOOOOO The edit was on point
About the Bunny Hunter
They showed he's hands because even when he is a high level fighter, he was so afraid of Ainz that he hurt he's hands, yanking the fur out them, in order to keep himself from running away.

"Maybe he isn't thinking of anything".

The teleportation scene was golden 3:10
I love that Ainz used the Clementine daggers
The weapons that Ainz used against the Warrior King this episode is actually what used to be Clementine's (The woman that dies to Ainz hug) weapons or rather a mass produce type based on that weapon.
A Vassal state is almost basically what the States in the USA are. They all have a few different 'rules' to each other but mostly the same 'rules' and answer to a central power that is the President and Congress.
I love how Ainz looks in the area, that style is cool.
By the way about touch me name is like that is because of the glitch he found and used in like a pve of the mmo which he won, and the reason is because literally no one can touch him
Didn't realize this earlier, but Ainz is using Clementine's magic daggers! Guess he kept some souveniers...
It's a nitpick, but those are stilettos.
Thus he is an idiot in those areas.
that edit on greater teleportation was so good
Plus those 2 weapons he was using was, Clementines, the stabbing girls weapons that he took when he broke her back, way back in Ep 9.
The Length of your Name is Status, in the world of Overlord; common people have 2 names and high Ranking Nobles should have 5, El-Nix only has 4 and even thought he's the emperor some nobles have question about his status
vassal state in their context basically a colony.

That dual knife sword thing that Ains used is from Clementine (the crazy b*tch from season 1). So yea.. clementine sword cameo lol

Ainz out here eating the crayons from the restraunt’s place mat
Remember the daggers Clementine used? Yeah, Ainz is learning.
when i see the warrior king, i just tought "Damn Cocytus will love you !"
"I tell you they stepped up the animation this season".

Which is why Ainz' have no idea of what the book is about.
Some fun points, (Minor things left out but not heavy Spoilers)
-By Ainz giving Fluder the book the language of higher magic will now be Japanese
- 12:07 Congratulations you've found who I believe to be the smartest in the series, simply because he saw through Ainz's BS
-This Was the first time Ainz has taken damage since the shaltear since he disabled his damage immunity passive incident (and the scripture fight technically)
-The reason Ainz had the martial lord wager his loyalty is because resurrection can be refused and he would've looked dumb in front of every (least that's my theory)
-The weapons he was using were from clementine (Chick who got emoted on and died) and enchanted with spells and enchanted by Fluder but after use he thought it to be Overkill
-Jircniv actually set up a system to watch Ainz so he knows when he's entering the Empire so he can be Observed for obvious safety precautions, the fact he was able to get in undetected and show up made him think that he planned everything so far which is why he ends up falling into madness about his own choices and whether or not Ainz is puppeting him
People playing chess while Ains ain't even playing,he is just happy to be there
i was surprised that few people notice that the moves he used with the daggers were from clementine
So Vassal State is "Let me become your bitch but don't put me in peasant bitches"?
i saw this in a comment before... that ainz and jircniv has such a lovely friendship - the overlord and the overthinker.
i can't forget this comment. 🤣

Vassal State, noun: " a state with varying degrees of independence in its internal affairs but dominated by another state in its foreign affairs and potentially wholly subject to the dominating state. "
Watching this episode again in this video, I just realized something. The fat man who manages the Warrior King, his face (somewhat) and his eyes especially, reminds me of Gluttony from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
