Haha man that would be an amazing photo with a 4 inch lume cube, they would have no choice but to respect the skills then haha! I try to use my equipment until it can't be used any longer. nice presentation. Difficult to have glow series in Belgium and US fees are quite expensive. Is that glow much better than godox ad-s85 ?

What is the advantage of white and silver versions, why created the white version, silver isn't better?
Silver gives off more specular lighting while white gives off more natural lighting. Its all preference! Thanks for watching!
great video- i think the zippered hole in the side is also so you can reach in and put on gels.
Thanks, yes its great for that access, as well as changing out reflectors.

It is great outdoors probably my most used modifier. Its a 33.4" deep parabolic softbox.

Depends on the purpose but I would say ez glow is a great brand to start!
Nice content bro, I recently purchased the EZ Lock 42” but unfortunately, it doesn’t fit my AD300 Pro. Any suggestions for compatible Mount/brackets, or should I return it for a different model?

Robert Hall said that hisAD300 pro cannot handle the weight of this softbox. That it tilts a lot. Have you had that problem too?
Great question but I have not experienced this and its probably due to the fact that I use a S2 mount instead of an adapter that threads into the ad300 pro. So that could be a great work around so that you don't have to worry about the modifier tilting!

Can this soft box works with speed lights ?
Unfortunately this softbox is a direct connect for godox ad300s and ad400s so it can't be used with speed lights! Thanks fo rsupporting the channel!

@@DexMediaja Do you have a s type adapter? If not you will need one of those and a glow 38inch deep parabolic would work or even a glow beauty dish

Hey, can I ask you a question about that softbox? I plan on ordering the Xplor 300 Pro and this softbox, but I would really rather use a small, metal beauty dish plate. I have such a plate from my other Glow beauty dishes (with Bowens Mount). Do you think those plates will fit in this softbox? What I mean is, will there be any pole sticking out when this is fully opened so that I can slide a disk onto it?
Great question. I know what you mean and unfortunately when the softbox is fully open there is only about a quarter of an inch of the pole still left exposed if that. Thanks for supporting the channel also!
@@TMIDD Thanks for the reply. I'll probably still buy it when I get my Xplor 300 Pro because I love the low profile of this Goxox X Mount, but I was really hoping to be able to put in that plate. Maybe I'll design something thinner of my own.
Good choice with the deep parabolic. Since you do a lot of outdoor shoots this will allow you to have more distance between your light and subject but still have some directional, focused, but soft light. The 2x2 softbox is easy and probably a softbox every photographer has had at some point but it definitely has its limits. Now the real question is ... have you bought a new light stand yet?!?? Because your new setup is going to be heavier and your current light stand has been praying for help. :-D

Bro, that's not even a deep parabolic, even though Adorama is calling it as such. I have a Fotodiox 36" DEEP parabolic softbox that's easily twice as deep as the Glow, too deep actually. I'm looking at getting a more shallower one, and this one seems to fit the bill. I was trying to decide between this AD-S85 and the smaller AD-S65. I'm flying to Puerto Vallarta in a couple weeks to meet up with some model friends and i'm trying to reduce my gear size. Next up, i'm gonna sell/trade my AD400 Pro for an AD300 Pro.
Your absolutely correct when I bought it I said to myself this isn't deep at all haha. Thanks for catching that. I wanted the ad400 but for the exact same reason I settled for the ad300 pro because it has better portability and makes my gear more compact. The AD-S85 is pretty solid I've been looking at it as well but this softbox here is pretty portable so I've been pretty happy, aside from adorama calling it a deep parabolic lol.
