I don’t currently have a partner but the question of why they sleep together and their responses made me smile. I know for me the first few days waking up without someone in bed next to me was miserable, I craved their warmth and their smile in the morning. Just having someone else there who I cared about made starting my day a bit easier (which is really a blessing since I have severe depression and just getting out of bed is a struggle every morning)

The baby sleeping at 3:04 gave me anxiety the whole time. it’s very dangerous because the mom can roll over in her sleep and suffocate the baby. Many babies have died because of that. Doctors always warn mothers about it! Please don’t do that

Sleeping alone vs sleeping with someone you’re in love with just hits differently. You feel secure, loved, happy and waking up to them just instantly makes your day better. In that moment, you forget all the chaos the day will likely bring. It’s just peaceful and when you’re in a healthy, loving relationship it will radiate. When my husband and I were LDR, it sucked going to bed facing a wall and waking up facing a wall. We couldn’t sleep at all through the night but now living together, we sleep peacefully. If I fall asleep early sometimes I just stare at him and just enjoy the fact I’m so in love with my very best friend.

I was raised Vietnamese. My parents and I slept in the same bed until I was 7 or 8. The first night I slept alone, I was scared out of my wits and I was so nervous. My mom grew up sharing a bed with her siblings, and I know my cousins slept with their parents as they grew up, too. It must be an Asian thing, or at least Vietnamese. :)
