Geez Nick. You did not hold much back. An old story comes to mind: One day as i was musing, sad and lonely, a voice came to me out of the gloom saying "cheer up, things could be alot worse". So I cheered up. Sure enough things got worse. .....Walt

You've got a super collection! I'm jealous of your storage space, Nick. I'm envious of your cars, too, but it's the storage space I'd really want to have. I'm having to sell a car or two because I don't have the space. Really love that Caddy of yours!

Thanks kayeninetwo, I was very very lucky to find this place. We were looking for 2 years here in Colorado Springs for the right house with the right out building. A perfect case of, "Patience is a virtue." When we first looked at the house, I went into the out building first and that was it for me, sold!!! I didn't have to see the rest. I do have a lot of room but I filled it up fast and now it is crowded with cars and crap. I always say, no matter how much room you have, you'll always fill it up fast.

    Nick,
I didn't know you like mildewy-musty smells. Why didn't you say so earlier? I'll send you a pair of my unwashed socks.😂 The Pony looks great, my friend. And don't be so hard on yourself about that Challenger. Everyone is entitled to make a mistake once in a while.
    Regards,
    John

Please dont send me your old socks, my nasal passages have enough issues without that. And, Ive made more than one mistake. Sometimes it seems like a habit.

Too bad about the Challenger. We all have similar stories. Happened twice to me both my fault. 61 Lincoln in upstate New York and 61 Lincoln in Detroit. Both rust buckets. We're probably about the same age and we both are in fairly good health so that is really all that matters at this point in life. Worst case is, advertise that Challenger with some Mopar club and be honest with condition. Someone will buy it as a project. You will lose money but at least get rid of it. Ahh the old hardtop is a convertible trick. There's an old guy named Ed that lived in Sedalia Missouri that I met when I moved to Missouri in 1992. He liked 61-66 Thunderbirds. I forget the year, but he made a hardtop into a convertible. (wrecked convertible, decent hardtop). He got it all done and sat it outside his house right on US highway 50. Some guy came along, bought it cheap and off he went to California. Said he never heard from him again. Lol. Take care and enjoy your projects. BTW...I lived in Northern California in the mid 80s and bought a 62 Thunderbird hardtop in Sacramento. Just beautiful condition white with turquoise cloth seats and factory AC>. It didn't have a lot of miles but the steering box was absolute crap with so much slop in it. I called around and found Nicks TBirds in Southern California and bought a rebuilt gearbox off of him. It was perfect. Don't know if you heard of that place. Lol

Hey Jeff, lately Ive been watching some Graveyard Carz and they have some videos about the Phantom Cuda that was in a crash and totally crushed beyond repair (for most people). He took what was left of the car and restored it. That was quite the job and very impressive. Its nice when you have 5 or 6 other guys working with you to do it. Nobody likes me so I'm here all by myself so it takes me forever to do anything. I started thinking about just doing a complete restoration on the car. Then I could be proud of it from front to back. It needs everything even though it was a "rotisserie restoration!!!" what a bunch of shit. I would turn it into a car to be proud of, not a car that just pisses me off every time I look at it. My fault, not the cars fault. I have to keep telling myself that. BAck in the 80's you could buy a very decent Thunderbird for chicken feed. Those days are long gone. Thanks.

The Mustang is looking great, and a nice work on the Caddy seat!
Sorry to hear about the Mopar purchase...I bought a Land Rover Overlander that I was mislead to believe it just had a blown head gasket, I trusted the seller, and didn't look much at the car...well, it had been mouse infested in a big way, and had a broken piston.
I took the whole interior out, cleaned the bare metal, and replaced the piston & sleeve, and told the new owner what was done to it, got to honest about these things.

When you were showing the Mustang, it looked like there was a white '66 T-Bird next to it. Is that another project car of yours?

Hey John, that is my personal 1966 town hardtop. I have them parked together in the garage. They are always a project, there is always something to do to them. But overall, it is a nice driving car and doesnt need anything at the moment. Thanks.
