I love how this season all of jens story lines end with her yelling Taxi!!!
Great how they mismatched the couples when it was clearly set up for perfect matches between the man-eater and Roy, the bonkers girl and Moss, and the mummy and the vampire 😆
Easily my favourite episode of The IT Crowd 😂😂
“Omg! Look at me, having an orgasm!” 😂😂
This is actually a masterpiece of British comedy...Thanks guys...
"I love how the two most unlikely people that will find love are this vampire and the air quotes chick"
lmao Twilight romance moment
They don't find love. They bone once, then forget about each other.
Richmond is by far the most well-adjusted of any of them - he also has game 💀 This episode is amazing. Can't wait for the next! Thanks guys
Lol. Your learning of UK culture is a joy to watch .
Big lesson here. Dinner partys in England do not involve grilling, nor do they take place outdoors 😂.
BBQ UK is a feast of rained upon meat, windswept guests, upset stomachs and broken plastic furniture. 😂😂
Big lesson here.
The plural of a party is parties.
In school we were taught to drop the Y and add "ies".
Hope this helps.
As an Aussie that lived in the UK for a bit I remember being invited to my first BBQ and never feeling further from Queensland. Had it all, including the burned sausages and the packet potato salad.
@@goodshipkaraboudjan it must of took place in an council estate
You must be fun at "party's" 😅@@rossshepherd9836
The wine conversation melted my brain
I think the ‘to be continued’ is a mind fck for the viewers. I bet they were laughing at all the people who were waiting for it to happen 😂
The super awkward woman made me laugh. Especially the cut to Richmond's deadpan face.
I think this is one of the best episodes of an incredible series. Daniel looked exhausted by the end!
Pinot Grigio is a white wine..
Maybe Pinot Noir
Yes, I think that's what Spencer meant. @@alundavies1016
Hey! If he says it’s his favorite red then it’s his favorite red wine.
@@gsparkman he identifies the wine as red!
@@gsparkman quite right..when he gets on his knees and puts his head face first in his chair...made me laugh nearly as much as the episode itself...
The "air quotes" girl was the shoe shop girl in Peep Show that Mark followed down to university! Deffo a great match for Richmond :)
Many parents give their kids first names which go badly with their surnames: Mike Oxlong, Richard Head, Annette Curtain, Robin Banks, Harry Balls, Mike Hunt etc.
Theresa Green
@@davidmee1822 PC Rob Banks
What about the legend that is Phil McCracken.
I have a vwery great fwriend in WRome called Biggus Dickus.
In our school they would announce the kids names with initial and then surname as in P Jones, B Martin etc etc, my mate was called Robert Soul.
Watching these two friends working together to make reactions, talking about how you shouldn’t be friends with co-workers 😂
The cliff-hanger never pays off, I think what they meant was that the IT Crowd would be back for a second series, rather than "to be continued..." of the actual episode's plotline. Oh and Graham's name is pronounced "linner-han" like "dinner ban"
I may well be mixing it up with another series, but I seem to recall reading that Linehan struggled to come up with a storyline to carry on the cliffhanger so he just abandoned it. Thankful he did, as we got The Work Outing instead!
To be fair the series did end with "To Be Continued..." so it did kinda suggest there might be a continuation of the set-up... coulda gone either way. @@24magiccarrot
@@24magiccarrotSeries 1 ended with a "To be continued...", Daniel even mentions that at the beginning of this video.
Whos banning dinner.?
Bless. @@ChubbyChecker182
Can watch the IT crowd over and over never get bored, there are a lot of fantastic British comedies out there lots similar to this daftness.
Our nearest off-license (liquor store) sold some very cheap wine whose name was "Good Spanish White Wine" I tried it once just for the sheer fun of it and it was what you'd expect.
I do think this was one of the best comedy series ever.
4:26 Double Gloucester is a type of English cheese.
I have watched this 6 times now and still laughted my pants off. Just check out and reminded myself of the next ep very funny
Lest we forget "Drew Peacock". My well hung friend.
"you're not my type. Physically."
- "hellooo ☝️☝️☝️" 😂😂😂💀"
I'm just looking forward to seeing Jen getting hold of the Internet... love it! 😂
Moss and Margaret are a clip of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". Hilarious!!😆😂😅😄👍😆😂😅
The cigarette was hilarious I wondered if he was doing a parody but I didn't recognize it
There was a policeman speaking on the news once whose name was "Rob Banks"
The one that gets drunk and with Moss is in another awesome series Miranda.
Great reaction! it's probably my equal favourite with The Work Outing. Funny, funny stuff and great writing.
Work Outing is definitely my favourite, the timing is just brilliant throughout
This, the theatre and the"Iran" episode are absolute all time classics
I worked in a school. Total shambles. After i left the deputy heads name was peter file. He signed everything as Peter A. File
I've had good friendships with colleagues. Some now continue long after we stopped working together.
I was once a supervisor in a frozen food store. I found a wallet with a large amount of cash inside. The name on the ID was a "J Meoff". and we were just hoping his first name was Jack.
Moss & Margaret are satiring "WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF" George & Martha👍👍👍😂😂
My favourite IT crowd episode!!
boys yall need to do BLACK BOOKS, same creator, same style of humour.. a tiny bit better in my opinion
I 100% agree with this, Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey are brilliant :D
Love black books - “jam jam jam” and “I ate all your bees” staple comments chez moi
@@intothemindshaft drinking absinthe and grilling bees while reading survival guides in a book store is so amazing I don't know what can get better than that, grapes of wrath is also amazing one
Great episode this one. Good old Peter file
Genius comedy at its best😂
There are only three kinds of wine...red, white and rosé.
One of the best episodes.
The drunk one auditioned for Jen. Love her. Wonder how she would have done in the role.
Loving watching you guys enjoying more uk comedy, I would recommend bottom to watch next
Nice one lads, incidentally though pinot grigio is white wine 🙂 (Pinot Noir is traditionally red)
Yes, Graham Linehan is a genius. Get his book “Tough Crowd”. If you enjoyed “Father Ted” and the “IT Crowd” you’ll love it.
I love at around the 17 minute mark you sarcastically say that this party will go great. You do say the IT team are the most normal.
We all new it was going to go wrong... No one could have guessed just how wrong and why....
I found six good friends in '98 and '99 through work (all at the same company) and we're still friends to this very day despite not working with each other since 2001, 2002 and 2009 due to them/me changing jobs but we still kept in touch! I actually met up with one this previous weekend and another one earlier today for a few drinks.
(obviously they're not as weird as this lot though!)
Catherine Shepherd is also good in Peep Show.
Also plays the lead in Sally4Eva which was surprisingly funny as fk
My favourite episode. “Memory is ram”
Great reaction!
I love this episode, and the last few seconds introduced me to the song ‘Game of pricks!’
(Guided by voices).
Guys the writer actually appears in a few episodes of the it crowd you've seen him the guitar player in messy Joe's. Ps me not one for wine, the odd total of rum or Sherry very nice.
I hadn't realised what a masterpiece this series is until watching your reactions. Kudos. FYI, I'm working with the sublimely brilliant producer of that show, Caroline Leddy, at the moment. Positive thoughts, lads! I would LOVE you to be reacting to one of mine one day. Hooray!
You've got a lot to look forward to.... The IT Crowd just keeps on getting better and better.
Can't wait for you to get to S3E4 "The Speech"....hilarious AND politically controversial too! lol
- definitely! .. includes one of the most memorable romantic episodes of any series ever.
@@mijmijrm "I don't care. Doesn't bother me." DEAD
I'm puzzled by what politically controversial means but if anything about political correctness then I don't care about it, I love the comedy stand up talks of political incorrect
Then I won't spoil it for you! :)@@mlee6050
The song at the end is Game of Pricks. Well worth a listen.
It's pronounced Lin-eh-han and if you like his writing you should watch Black Books
Loving your reactions to these guys!
Tell King Boomer that he needs to give the IT Crowd another chance
Yes, he watched one mediocre scene, which he obviously didn't get, as he knew nothing about the characters or previous events.
@@davidz3879 I feel like he would love Douglas and Denholm
@@davidmee1822 Yes, he's hinted that he'll watch it soon.
He did his own nose.
I stand corrected.
Another brilliant episode 😂
We have cordial in the uk comes in a big plastic bottles and you dilute it with water to make juice so when one day i went into tesco and saw red and white wine in cordial bottles i honestly almost died laughing. Only Great Britain can be that chavvy 😂
MY FAVORITE EPISODE!!😁😄😅😂😆👍👍🎃🎃
The women in this are all British stars now!!!👍👍
I've worked at a company where a large number of us were friends, and we used to go to BBQs at each others places all the time. A lot of them are still my friends even though I've left that company more than 5 years ago.
lol. I am literally mid way through a game of Risk with the wife! You would definitely change your name. Lol the Nascar comment reminds me of an Indy5000 driver.. Dick Smothers. Got a pic of my old man next to his car.
Watch Outnumbered by the way. It genuinly stars Ben Dover's kid. The series is brilliant as well.
It has sitcomland's most unhappy parents.
One must definitely sup upon a fine Rioja or Grenache, they are a delight to the nose and palate and go very well with meat dishes.
Graham is involved and in an episode of "BLACKS BOOKS" HILARIOUS❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Burgundy is a wine region in France. They make amazing white wines.
Macon-Villages and Meursault are 2 of the best ones.
But are most famous for red, hence burgundy is a shade of red.
I had to put tannoy addresses over shop floor and was pranked sometimes. Ben Dover, and G Raffe to contact reception etc.
Could have been Raymond Piste!
Black Books next? Another Graham Linnehan classic.
great show, fantastic reACTION!!!
📖Another vote for 'Black Books' after 'The IT Crowd'
Yes!
"Outdoors and beer" isn't really a dinner party though, lol. :)
the wine name usually denotes the grape type it's made from, but I don't know if that's always the case. I don't really drink wine, I just keep a bottle of white and a bottle of red around for cooking.
In France, the wine is named after the geographic region it's from using certain grapes grown in that area (hence Burgundy, Champagne etc). Elsewhere the grape type can be used e.g. cabernet, merlot, suavignon to describe the wine type, and in some cases a generic term is given to a type of wine made of certain grape types from a certain region as they do in Italy - e.g. prosecco, chianti, primitivo, lugana, volpolicella, pecorino etc.
for just cooking you are missing a trick, buy it by the can.
I think you might have meant pinotage. Pinot Grigio is a white wine.
Burgundy is a region, a wine from the grapes of that region, and a colour of the wine from those grapes. And Ron's surname of course.
i genuinely knew a Wayne Kerr at school
The Peter File joke didn’t work for me for the simple reason that I had met a real ‘Peter Vile’
Like most ITC episodes this can function as a genius anthropology class. Apart from Roy being Irish, these are all accurate English stereotypes. Get over here to the UK. Go to any function and you’ll be able to spot people like all of these bonkers eejits. The horny drunk woman? Go anywhere in England where there’s alcohol and you’ll meet them.
There's no part 2 of the cliff hanger
other names: Warwick Hunt, Gloria Stitz
This show and Father Ted both demonstrate nicely Stephen Fry’s theory that British comedy is based on losers, nerds and misfits almost without exception. American comedy is based on winners or successful people. Even flawed characters still have killer one liners that show they are the smartest in the room. Sinefield was a good show so was Friends up to a point but again smart one liners as was Frasier. British actors prefer to play life’s victims. However in real life they are mostly successful people. Take Katherine Parkinson who plays Jen in the IT Crowd: she went to Oxford University, a trained actor that has appeared on stage quite a few times has written plays as well. She has won awards for her stage work. Are British actors the best? In some cases and there’s a lot of them in the Marvel franchise and similar Hollywood films.
Thanks
my favourite episode
Work friends can be close enough as your dear friends, sometimes.....✌✌
Enjoy watching you guys do the british series. Gotta do Black books next, another Graham Lineham one.
Also gotta sya I completely disagree with your take on work friends. Every workplace is different but I've often made friends at work with whom I see outside of work too.
Grilling with beer is surely a BBQ haha
Pinot Grigio is a white wine famed for being low in acid so better for a delicate stomach.
I reckon you mean Pinot Noir, a popular variety of red wine.
Although Peter File is up there, my favourite bad name is Bob Loblaw from Arrested Development.
24:24 interesting though at 23:35 he says it's his "second name" which to me means middle name, but then rest of the show they act like it's his last name, and why would he have a middle name in his email address without last name would be a good question
Pinot is a grape. Burgundy is a french region.
The other scenario work colleagues can be friends is when you're friends before working together. But you need to agree no personal chit chat in front of other colleagues.
You mentioned Graham Linehan so I wanted to let you know that he also does 1 cameo per series. He appeared in Series One episode Fifty-Fifty as the main Mariachi singer at Messy Joe's. He is going to appear in episode 6 this series. Thought you would like to know so you can include it in your reactions going forward.
You guys being recent F1 converts, the Aston Martin Team Principle is genuinely named MIKE KRACK!!! Has anyone seen him?!!😅😅
Guided by Voices 👍🏻
Pinot is a wine lol
This is my second fave ep after the gay musical one
You missed out in both Father Ted the The ITC Graham Linehan kept making minor cameo appearances.
Yup one of the priests on the plane in Father Ted, the flamenco guy in IT Crowd...
They're not missing much
That's the thing with fleeting cameo appearances... they're fleeting@@cohenparsons947
"To be continued" was just them taking the p***.
When it comes to unfortunately named individuals a (unfortunately recently deceased) hall of fame Chicago middle linebacker always springs to mind. Although I've never heard anyone American comment on it for some reason.
When I first saw the film Rocky, in which the title character has named his dog after the legendary number 51, I initially thought it was just a joke about dogs liking to sniff each other's bottoms.
Are there any Irish comedy shows? There's so many funny Irish comedians and actors but I don't think I've heard of any.
Can't believe you think this and Father Ted are very different. It's the same set up, and a lot of the same absurdist writing.
In the end though they are both just very funny.
