I think the things that pushed death to being at the top were enchants giving the full enchant to drains instead of just 2/3rds of it and scarecrow getting a huge buff. That's what pushed it up to me. And then later ship of fools just kinda kept it up there since they now had a 4 pip aoe that isn't dragoon

single best off school hit is spectral blast for arc two? my balance is in mirage atm and you have both hydra and chimera wich makes quick work of balance bosses in arc two. you can also use an opposum and the dragonspear lets you mostly ignore tower shields and non boss resist. Since "balance shield" isnt a thing balance is the school least affected by shields. Weakness sucking for balance and the blades being weaker are balances main downsides but its very doable.
wiz is like the only mmo I know that have actual bad classes lmao. devs are oblivious when it comes to their own combat system, which in the end is just about consistency & making rounds fast to make battles as short as possible.. all schools follow the aura, buff and aoe formula, while allowing the good classes be able to train those buffs??
Life- has 195 damage “Damage is a little low” I mean at least life heals tremendously more than death can and has good enough damage. I think life was underrated here. Both it’s support and damage. But honestly great video overall man!
LMAOO yeah 195 being considered “low” is crazy but that’s Novus for you. Honestly every school except ice can perform really well at max, if healing was a little more useful I’d definitely have put it higher

To add onto Myth, a lot people underestimate monstrology. You can summon up to 3 minions at once, you just have to get animus which takes a couple of minutes. Very fun way to play and very useful, even in later gameplay.

I don't think it's just the spells that need buffed. Ice gear is just so bad. Like they get barely more resist but huge nerfs to damage output, especially for like waterworks set and such. And life gets just slightly less resist than them but way more in damage when it comes to gear in arc 2 and such.

Fire is such a mid school, DOTs are bad in PVE and we all know it, the cheese strat you can't even do without being pay 2 win, fire dragon is a terrible aoe the DOT takes too long to kill, when you wait for the extra two turns with Dot you could have bladed instead, Dragoon Amulet means you can't bring Shane Amulet which also means you don't have the highest pierce, and Storm still has the best follow up hit as tempest is an X pip aoe
Yea I honestly agree with this. Storm even without nighmire/nullity robe gets more damage than fire and tempest does guarenteed 700 first round. Most people also don’t even use scald strategy that often because not everyone has access to it. I don’t really see the point of making a fire over storm unless you are playing with a specific group
KingsIsle could have done so much more with this game to balance things out. Maybe one day some enterprising people will take it over when KI gives up.
Balance solo is bad. But with someone. Balance makes the run so much faster. Once you hit the balance aoe shadow hit, they become a monster. Which trickles down when getting good gears with less shadow pip chance. Life school. With the introduction of archmastery pip, now anyone can cast life heal without the need of mastery amulet. Myth needs a single hit spell buff. Your better off using orthus, which is better than medusa or arthurious
Would you make a beginner/returning guide I know there are quite a few already but however none that really go over a lot of the important stuff I think it would help a lot especially because I just got my gf into this game and she’s brand new and none of the videos are super helpful for beginners, I’ve played for awhile but there is still so much I’m sure I’m missing knowledge in! Would love to see a video on it keep up the good work

Ice has an insane number of aoes lol. blizzard, snowball strike,(item card tho) snowball barrage, frost giant, reindeer knight, snow angel, freeze ray, climaclysm like wtf. remove the stun from frost giant and buff it or something.
I ain't no game dev or nothing and know this an old stats video compared to now with new gear out but honestly if they were to just change around the damage stat a bit and adjust it slightly this whole meta would be different imo strom should be the only school getting 200+ plus damage
scald incindiate as way too niche of a strat to be relavent outside of specific situations (also being locked behind pack gear + deckathalon deck). Also, fire dragon sucks for questing bc you don't want to be sitting there for 3 turns waiting for the dot to finish when you used all your feints on the intial hit, or waiting while killing trash mobs. Myth has higher resist, takes better advantage of traps, higher health, and such high base damage on that 7 pip that rivals the sun serpent you mentioned with sunspells (due to a portion of the sun spell being on the secondary hit which again wastes some of the traps effectiveness in boss scenerios like you mentioned). I've said it before and I'll say it again. Myth is only behind death, from expirience of leveling your entire top 4.

I balance my other wizards’ progress as best I can for when it is their turn to stand out among the remaining wizards, in this case, Fire. As everyone is about almost done with Celestia, their grinding for their turn will be reduced more and more. That being said, here is the order that I’ll be focusing on… And not because of my ranking, that’s completely coincidental. 💀➡️🔥➡️🍃➡️🪬➡️❄️➡️🌩️➡️⚖️ If there are any questions, there’s a chance I’ll answer, depending on the question.
You got to show some actual gameplay man. Just running back and forth listening to you tap on your keyboard does not make for an enjoyable video. What you're saying makes sense and you make some valid points but it's hard to want to watch the whole video when it's just you going forward and backwards on a mount.
Best I think I could've offered was questing footage, but at the time of recording there was no new content to really show off. Plus, as you get into the fourth arc, the school identity stuff starts to diminish in favor of frenzy -> AoE and it's the same for every school. There is not a particularly noticeable difference from #1 through #6 in the new content, but there is in the first two arcs and I don't have any characters there at the moment
I feel like life could at least get some identity back by nerfing pigsie. It does almost double a unicorn for 1 more pip. If it was brought down to unicorns heal per pip I think life would have more of a niche as even life wizards mostly use pigsie anyways

I will say my first wizard is balance and I’m still trying to get to max after level 100 every world is so hard to solo
