    I think 15C blade is good to remove board layers. Try it some times.

    I got one lenovo to life, it had a big burn thru all layers. Cleared the burn area and got problems with power button, charging light and screen backlight. Had to run wires for backlight and power button but hey, laptop seems to work ok, well with dead usb3 port and two usb-c ports. Only one usb3 port remaining, but its enough.

    Hey Tim am I correct in assuming that where the board internally shorted there was no vital traces below which is why you were able to dig in that area?

    watching you do the impossible inspires me. what is your success rate with removing shorts this way?

    • @TCRSCircuit
      @TCRSCircuit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on where the short is honestly.

    I love watching u fix things, but I'm annoyed when you say part aren't important.

      Well, the part isn't important. Just a simple decoupling capacitor. This board had a 6 layer internal short. Exposing that area to more heat putting it back is far more risky than leaving that capacitor off. This was for data recovery only.
