DeRosa is top notch, top class. It’s funny because I remember him when he was playing in the league way back when. Then I look up and he’s back and better than ever lol
I hate that this breakdown is on my Cubbies, but the guy is filthy on the mound. He's fun to watch. I am looking forward to a future Skenes vs. Yamomoto NLCS matchup.
I just don't think alot of people even know about it. If you aren't actually looking up podcasts and what not your not even gonna know about it bc alot of other ones get promotions and this one just doesn't
I think it’s because people for the most part are not really baseball fans that much anymore or just in general they are not baseball fans they are just regular people looking up different stuff on here and they come across mlb on there recommendations and also baseball is getting boring and becoming expensive and it’s also changing
with glasnow now out its looking like jack and yama are our only aces, knack can have the playoff spot and we need gavin to comeback asap, kershaw too is needed back for safety, bobby and walker are definitely out. Dodgers pitching is legit surviving on only hopes and dreams, wont be surprised if ohtani starts throwing as a reliver in game 4.
@@sar4806 Recency bias has nothing to do with it.... Yamamoto won the Sawamura award 3 years in a row in Japan. He already is at Ohtani's level if not better when you only look at pitching stats. Ohtani is amazing, but he still has 0 cy young awards after this many years in the league, it's his combination of being the best hitter on the planet, as well as a top 10 pitcher that make him so amazing. Meanwhile healthy Yamamoto can easily become the best pitcher in the league. Add onto that fact, he is only mid-twenties and will only be getting better as he gets into his prime. Expect multiple Cy-Young awards for Yamamoto if he stays healthy by the time he is Ohtani's current age.
Yama should definitely try to paint a 4 seamer on the corner below, if they think he’s going to throw a split because some times when he faces a batter the second or third time they don’t really chase it. If he tries to throw a 4 seamer or 2 seamer above to deceive his curve ball, the league is done lmao.
im kinda new to baseball and find pitching very fascinating... I'm currently rooting for Yamamoto right now. but what he's talking about at around 3:00 seems too complicated... i get it's about Ian Happ's AB but what about it
so is it like theyre thinking 'oh they got me on a splitter on my last AB so I got to watch out for it this time, it has got to ba a ball' and then yamamoto throws a four seamer... idk man lol 😂
Before this game, Kershaw was giving Yamamoto some pointers. Postgame interview, Yamamoto said "Kershaw gives good advice". 🥰

DeRo is treasure of baseball knowledge, love his analysis.
Yeah it would be hard to replace him. He’s great at presenting that knowledge as well.
DeRo breakdowns is what I live for.

Baseball underrated
Probably because it's paid on cable. Also MLB has an older audience generally who isnt on the internet that much

Props to derosa, this type of content is amazing imo. Wish more sports analyst do this instead of the stupid hot takes.
Nasty stuff!!
Welcome back Yoshi!!
Yoshi was fire! GO Dodgers!
loved this breakdown
8 Ks in 4 innings is 🔥

He pitched 4 innings@@Roadkillah
@@islander5858but he got the 8k’s in the first 3 innings
Man that FIP graphic and edge % really show what he does well
LOVE THIS SHOW !!! ♥️⚾⚾
I knew he's hella back when he struck out the side in the first
Those Cubs uniforms are super sharp. I like that shade of blue!! A bit different from Dodger blue.

Yoshi was🔥 last night
Never watched a more in depth pitching analysis
That's because too many people can't handle the truth.
yamamoto is better than ohtani as a pitcher. he can't throw over 160mph fast ball but his commands SHINES!!
With both completely healthy he's nowhere near Ohtani. Ohtani had and era in the lows 3 without his splitter which is his best pitch by far
Lmfao recency bias through the roof
@@sar4806 ohtani can't be like when he was in 2022.

Painting corners!
If you eliminate inside pitches as a righty and only looking away he lands that curve in there for a free strike
His sequences don’t make sense 😂 he’s right you don’t know what he’s gonna throw lol
3年連続沢村賞を舐めるな

Wilson Linda Clark Amy Williams Frank
almost fell asleep listening to this guy
?????
He will have a zero era in the post season
And the Dodgers still found a way to lose. They gave up 16 runs to the Cubs lineup. 🤦♂ They won't get past the NL in the playoffs, I guarantee it.
lol
DeRo is excellent on tv
