At least it wasn’t another “painter” analogy. It seems on every video I see comments of “I hired him to paint my house, but he only painted the corners”. That corny, overused stuff. At least you were somewhat original with your analogy
I think he'll be like a modern Greg Maddux. He's not overpowering (by today's standards) but has incredible command and location. I think he's going to have 7-8 years where he averages sub 3 ERA.
Yamamoto is this generation’s Greg Maddux. He can locate any spot with four pitches, but has a fastball that is 5mph faster than Maddux. Maddux did have other worldly control which is why he is a HoFamer…if Yamamoto can keep his control, he can perhaps join him in cooperstown one day.
People don't realize he was a postseason beast for many years for Japan. People that called him the japanese kershaw were overanalyzing one bad start vs Hanshin during their team of destiny year. He's a playoff stud.
Anybody betting against Yamamoto was huffing the Copium. If you saw him work in the NPB you knew he was going to figure it out sooner rather than later. He'll only get better with more time.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto: 2019 WBSC Premier 12 World Champion, 2020 Tokyo Olympics World Champion, 2023 World Baseball Classic World Champion, and 2024 MLB World Series Champion. Is there any other baseball player with such impressive titles?
1:56 Dropping “Look at this Sotograph” right at the moment the ball traveled over the rim of Dodger Stadium showcasing the absolutely gorgeous pastel sunset behind the mountains and palm trees was both hysterical and epically timed!
It was nice to learn about the umpire's “Oh My God” face in this video. 3:12. Thank you. Yamamoto is an excellent pitcher who won the Sawamura Award, Japan's “Cy Young Award,” three years in a row, but I am surprised because I never expected him to be this good in the major leagues. Maybe Yamamoto is a good fit for the Yankees.
FYI: Blake Treinen had a bad thumb injury when he was a kid. It never healed properly and now has a weird shape which Blake thanks for his unique pitches.
Yama is like Pedro with a splitter instead of the circle change. Even fb and offspeed usage is the same. Both 24% on the slider+curve, its just that Pedro used them both 12% and Yama is more Curve heavy. Splitter and Circle Change usage are also similar. As well as their low release point since theyre both short, which enhances their fastballs vertical spin (rise/carry) effect. And most of all ofcourse, the control and pitchability. Basically pitching like Maddux with the stuff of a power pitcher. Im not calling Yama as good as Pedro who literally had the best 3 pitches in the mlb at the time with the change, curve and fastball. Hall of fame quality pitches and all time great pitches by themselves. Its crazy they were used by one man who pitched like the greatest finesse pitchers of all time like Maddux and Glavine
I don't think this World Series is as over as the 2-0 lead would suggest. If the Yankees manage to win Game 3 and make the Dodgers deplete its best bullpen arms, then they have a good chance of winning Game 4 and evening up the series. That's why I, as a Dodger fan, felt that the first two games were must-wins for the Dodgers, because if they dropped one or both of them, then it becomes extremely difficult to bring the series back to LA for Game 6.
I stopped watching Fuzzy years ago yet every where I go I hear his name. Why? I stopped watching him because of all the baseball TH-camrs he just isn’t very knowledgeable. Made a fool of himself when invited by Bauer to a dinner with Clevinger and Jomboy (granted the two ball players turned out to be idiots too but he still was clearly out of his league) I don’t blame Judge for blocking him.
Gotta love Soto pimping a home run when they fucking lose and are down 2-0 now. Real team player. Probably went out and had a great time after the game talking about his one hit during a loss.
You call six miserable innings a great performance by YAMAMOTO? He's another overpaid six to seven inning pitcher we are used to in today's CRAPPY BASEBALL. DOES THIS JOKER COMPARE TO DWIGHT GOODEN, ROGER CLEMENS, RANDY JOHNSON and an aging NOLAN RYAN? DON'T BE BLASPHEMOUS AND DESRESPECT GREATNESS.
Yoshinobu is a real estate agent. He is all about location, location, location.
And he got a lot of real estate in the Yankees fans and Yankees heads rn
And when he's locked in it's not just the location, he can throw 97-98mph and a splitter that dives way out.
At least it wasn’t another “painter” analogy. It seems on every video I see comments of “I hired him to paint my house, but he only painted the corners”. That corny, overused stuff. At least you were somewhat original with your analogy
lol you win the comments🏆
Also insane commission lol
Yamamoto is worth the money he got
What an amazing performance!
Pitching a one-hitter jn his World Series debut is impressive. Can’t wait to see how he grows and improve.
⚾️🥷 was a Yoshi fan before he reached MLB, and never faltered when he struggled. Redemption song.
umps eyes on the curve is gold haha
There is just something about this kid. He’s gonna be absolutely phenomenal in the years to come.
What kid ?
@@Alex1Tremoyoshi
Ye I was thinking he was talking about Juan Soto
@@mosesfeltenstein1169 They're both the same age anyways
I'm glad Yoshi shuts down the haters and taking down the Yanks in the process. Go Dodgers!
Yamamoto is ELITE
2:57 I noticed that on a few occasions where the batter just froze for a few seconds to process what they just saw. was pretty hilarious.

Agree.
Admirable Yamamoto!
That win in signing Yamamoto is looking awfully sexy now for LA.
The unsinkable Yamamoto. You heard it here first on this fine channel.
The Kamikaze dive from Ohtani
Yamamoto was fearless against the Yankees!
Yoshi was amazing. He made one mistake but having a one hitter against this yankee lineup into the 7th was invaluable for the team and the bullpen

1:54 brilliant dude, IDK why we had to wait for that but thank you. 🙏

Ump is so locked in on that curve 😂

The nickleback reference came outta nowhere and had my dying 😭

Bonus moment of zen: the high five Ohtani gave to Yamamoto after his outing ended.
Has a Yankee fan that lost hurt last night.
It was an absolutely a beat down despite what the score shows…
I screamed at the tv when Joes Davis mentioned the one hit
ADMIRAL YAMAMOTO 🫡🫡🫡
Admiral Yamamoto was a Harvard graduate and US spy.
Algo just suggested your channel and I love your commentary.
He was worth every penny

I hope Roki Sasski ends up with the Dodgers…Pitching Ninja will have some great content to cover!
just like what Freedie said back in spring training "I'm glad that he is one of us (Dodgers)" 😊😊

5:29 Couldn't have said it any better.
🤝
0:52 F'n way those sliders drop and move away . . . I could sit and watch those balls move all day long.
The second half of your comment 😂
I got some you can watch LoL jk hahaha
Admiral Yamamoto
Yamamoto!!
Judge is a hitting Kershaw when it comes to the playoffs
Yamamoto is the ice man 🧊
The only thing I respect and enjoy is watching FREDDIE FREEMAN, the best clutch money performer in MLB.
His only mistake was trying to sneak a 4 seamer by Soto after he couldn't get him with the slider
You actually could have left Brooklyn in the intro since it’s the Dodgers playing. Hahaha
Love the Fuzzy shout out
Lmao I’m dying at the Nickelback reference for Soto 😂😂
Not mentioned at all - on the RF angle of Soto's HR, look at that epic baseball sunset
3:03 This face😂😂😂

N.Y fans should be happy Yamamoto hasn’t used his Bankai 😂. Sorry yankees you’re not playing Cleveland anymore Dodgers are a different beat..
Yoshi is Yankees father.

The Yanks look like a travel ball team that was put together at the last minute with half the players wanting to go to Water World.
I have Fuzzy blocked too. I’m just like Aaron Judge 🤩
It’s really too bad you had to fire Will. We really liked him.
This is going to be a world series sweep for the Dodgers
he pitched a full 7 innings in a ws game
Shoehei shall play. Hes cleared.
Soto’s hair… Guile from Street Fighter?
Just a nasty pitch! Looks like a fastball right in the middle of the plate. Any batter will try to wack it. Then it freakin' sinks like a foot.
Shohei got thrown out on a curve ball? Ouch.
He's been slow this postseason, maybe dealing with a leg issue
Just curious, how does pitching ninja know what is the intended position of the pitch?
The catchers glove placement
@@salaialexander7022 Ahh I see, thanks!
Thank you, you are a ninja too.
He’s Only 25 !!!
Maybe with his new contract, Soto will be able to afford a decent haircut.
Battleship Yamamoto

a true pitchingninja!
Feel like the Dodgers are going to win it in 5 after that game.

nickleback hate out of nowhere
"One of the all time greats." 💀💀💀💀
Aaron Judge is the Dak Prescott of the MLB, stop making this guy look like he is a HOF
He has the second best career OPS since Ted Williams played. He will certainly be in the HOF. Better luck next time!
Yamamoto the reptile
Yamamoto is so good…except against the Padres
He took you out in game 5 didn't he??😀😃
Nobody gives a damn about Padres
The Yankees being the best team in the AL shows how trash the AL was this year.
They should have left Yamamoto in for 2 more innings. He was just getting warmed up - Almost on fire... I was having so much fun watching him.
Arm durability
山本 良いピッチングだったよね
I think Shohei was trying to help pad their lead but it completely backfired & may have given the Yanks some momentum.
How much is a World Series victory worth?
Hundreds of millions of dollars
Is 4 strike outs in 6 innings that impressive?
Yeah considering it's the WS!!😀
Shogun Yoshi

And I'm a Dodger fan

When he pimped the Home Run is when he tied the score at 1-1 and he wasn't losing. Just saying.
The sidekick ruins the whole thing.
Everyone’s been waiting to hear you chime in 🫡
First time he's earned his money all year.
Not true but ok
He did better than this against the Yankees all the back in June
@fromulus do you watch baseball
His been on fire the last three games
