I know I know, 😃 it's actually my favourite ever game, but it features on few of my lists already so thought I'd leave it out onthis one. But agreed. It should have won GOTY.
Nah dude you're tripping. GoW was objectively the better game. RDR2 might have superior graphics, but graphics carry such little weight in the overall gaming experience. GoW had a far better narrative, more consistent gameplay, and overall better direction. Easy win for GoW. It may also be worth mentioning that I have not played either of these 2 games and I'm just regurgitating what others have said online 😂
TLOU2 is still most undeserving winner of GOTY ever, in my opinion. It is basically more of the same thing as the first game, with slightly refined gameplay.
ME3 not winning GotY is somewhat understandable. If you judge the game by JUST that, its an incredibly disappointing game. A vast majority of the best parts of it isnt available, because the game by default has half your cast being dead. The ending was an incredible shitshow that was SO bad the devs had to write additional endings that to this day are still hated or at best "begrudgingly accepted". Mass Effect 3 is a fantastic game, if you import your character from the previous 2 games. If you play vanilla ME3 without imports or the dlc, you will be left wondering why on earth people thought it was such a good story. Because frankly, it really isn't on its own.
Thanks for watching and commenting. You raise some good points to be honest. This lost is just my opinion so its by no means 100% right. Just my thoughts really. What games would have made your list?
@@Pixel_List Well, you mentioned "the last of us 2" when speaking of Ghost of Tsushima. I havent played ghost yet (its on my wishlist for pc currently), but I did play Hades more times than I can count. I definitely feel that game should have won 2020. The artwork, replay value, story, music. Its out of this world, and it brought renewed attention to the roguelike games. Baldurs Gate in 2023 won, but Ive played it with friends and while its a great game, its really not that spectacular. If anything its just an improved version of Divinity 2, but with better voice acting and some DnD stuff added. But admittedly, I felt most games for 2023 were nominated purely because of brand recognition (Diablo 4 had no business being on any of the nominations). But if Im honest I genuinely felt a majority of the games there were simply not my cup of tea. Cant give an honest nomination there.
@michelvanderlinden8363 Again, some good points. Sadly, too often on social media, people mistake opinions for fact. All these are just opinions based on myself. I'll always welcome anyone's thoughts, as it helps to broaden my spectrum, too. You have great insights and thoughts on these games, I appreciate you sharing them.
Yeah I agree, It's actually my favourite game of all time. But I already had it on few of my other lists so thought I'd leave it off this one. (Regret doing that now 😑)
I clicked this video right away and just realized that this video is made by a small channel. This is a solid list and quality content, feels like those channels that have 100k subs or so. Keep it up! You’ll be big one day
I can't stand empty open world. They can make a gigantic map and then they forget to fill it with any kind of content. I don't want to walk for 10 minutes to get somewhere.
i love open world. And no way bloodbourne is comparable as an accomplishment for a company! I love bloodbourne, but be real. Every Witcher was amazing, i enjoyed 2 more than 3.
@@nicholasjackson8709 witcher was absolutely stock full of stuff, it wasn't empty. Starfield sure it did come out empty.. but witcher? no.. nor is skyrim or any of the ubisoft games etc.. they are far from empty whether ghost or creed games. None are empty. Skyrim needs the space to make you feel you embarked on a journey in a world, like oblivion. Bloodbourne isn't comparable, it's a different kind of game 100%. Not even close to comparable from a game developer's standpoint.
@DavidJosephBoth I wasn't comparing any games honestly. It was just something I have noticed since like 2015. A lot of these open world games are just empty worlds. The last AC game I played was Origins and I didn't mind it. There are just devs that want to show off their expertise of the sculpting tools lol.
Dude !! RDR2 !!
That was the first game I thought off and still unbelievable at the same time
I know I know, 😃 it's actually my favourite ever game, but it features on few of my lists already so thought I'd leave it out onthis one. But agreed. It should have won GOTY.
Ludicrous to have been topped by GoW.
RDR2 came out in 2018 so I think that disqualified it this year

2018 should have been RDR2 and 2016 should have been Uncharted 4: A Theifs End
Totally agree with you there
Dark souls 3 should have win imo
Rdr2 was boring at few points but gow was epic every last second so how deserve goty more
Or Hitman 2016. Uncharted was great as well. The late 2010s were pretty good.
I don’t understand how a telltale game won in 2012. It wasn’t a weak year by any means.
keep going bro, i enjoyed this video
Thanks dude, I appreciate your comment. Hopefully I'm improving with each video
Prey and dishonored

Alan Wake 2 was only released digitally or an expensive limited run print shot its self in the foot 😮
Yeah that's a very fair point. I really miss the days of buying a disc, then you own a game forever without any downloads etc.
That’s a lie, they made a physical version and it’s literally on sale at GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Amazon etc.
Alan Awake 1, had a short physical print. And the game is going above MSRP new
@@Collectr_661 Alan wake 2 is not your high
@@RubyJones-zj4fu I am indeed but it’s true what am saying. Well at least here in America they have them in stock physically
I don't why people keep on saying that Ghost of Tsushima should have won over TLOU2 in 2020 when in reality Hades should have won over both.
Leaving out red dead 2 is crazy. Probably the best game ever to not get it's flowers

Um, Black Myth Wukong ?
This list was made before, this years awards. But it was another great game.
Black myth definitely should have won.
@@Pixel_ListWitcher 3 was better than Bloodborne imo but ok.
@issi529 I'll always welcome opinions. There's no right or wrong. Is a great game
I still can't believe astrobot won it
2017 Hollow Knight > Zelda BotW
2018 Red Dead 2 > GoW
2019 Smash Ultimate > Sekiro
2020 FF7 Remake > TLOU2
2021 idk..
2022 👍
2023 👍
2024 FF7 Rebirth > Astro Bot
(Seriously, BotW is the most overrated game of all time)
I can't stand open world games and prefer tight single player experiences. For me, it's Bloodborne every time over Witcher 3.

Are you guys on a march with the name "PiXEL" to post gaming content?
Yeah we post gaming lists along with retro top 100s.
didnt darksouls 1 get game of the decade?
Unsure on that one to be honest.
Hades (2020) should have beaten TLOU2.
No
Horizon?! really?
