As an adoptive mother I love how this honors everyone involved. I read somewhere that everyone’s second choice and I think that is true. Adoption is not essy, but it’s so worth it.

The mum that raised Simona is the epitome of selfless motherhood. She shines with a light like none other. Thank God for that incredible woman.

The way her adoptive mother pushed her a little as if to say 'go to your birth mother now' moved me to tears. That's true love. When we love someone we let them go to explore what is best for them, even if we are hurting in that process

Omg the mother who raised Simona is an angel and if there were more people like her on Earth we would have been living in a better world

I hope she truly appreciates her wonderful adoptive mother. She's the hero in all this.

This is one of those stories where you end-up liking everyone, and in hearing Maria's story, I didn't get the sense of a mother simply "abandoning" her child, but rather, felt the heartbreak of a young woman forced to make terrible choices in the worst of circumstances. My heart broke for Frances, Simona's adoptive mother, watching Simona and her birth mother, Maria, hug for the first time. I believe she was truly happy for her daughter, yet you could also see the sadness in her eyes. What a strong and loving mom. Much respect to all involved in this special for allowing us to be a part of their journey.

I am so glad she found her birth mother , however, I really feel for her adopter mother , the person that gave her , presumably, a good life , was there for her growing up . In my eyes , her adoptive mother is her real mother .

This is a video that adoptive mothers should watch. My birth mother was murdered when I was 10, but I found her family some years ago and Simonas adoptive mother reminds me of my own during that time. She was my biggest cheerleader and source of support. She's my mama. She knows it. And she knows that my need to know where I came from and who I came from has no reflection on the way she mothered me.

Oh my gawd! When I started this video I had no idea the trip I would make. I had no clue that they would be filming in my hometown and I didn't even cross my mind that I WOULD APPEAR IN THE VIDEO. The girl with the red beret in the beginning, when they reached Suceava!!!!

She is very lucky to have a supportive family to help her raise her son! Too bad her birtmother did not have the same support due to horrific conditions in Romania at that time! Therefore, we should never say what we would do or wouldn't do, if we are not in the same boat!
