The Māori father showed his unconditional love to his long lost daughter by giving her royal traditional ceremony and a loving welcoming with all the extended family… because that’s his daughter and he wanted everyone to know : the ancestors and spiritual world and the whole world . That’s very important and noble what he just did. As his first born child she has greater mana inherited at birth.

Both her Dad worried about rejection and herself worried about rejection. I am an American, and I had tears of joy for this beautiful culture and people who welcomed her with open arms. I am so happy that she finally feels home and feels the abundance of not only finding her Father, siblings and of the entire openness of this culture. I can imagine how her Spirit blossomed as they went through the welcome rituals. The unconditional love of this community is so refreshing (living through 2021). May our Creator Bless this lovely Family.

That's what I first thought too, but after listening again I understood that it was because she was raised in a Pakeha-family ('white' Western immigrants) and was therefor totally disconnected to the Maori culture, something which obviously disturbed her mothers side so much that they rejected her. Sad of course.

These type of shows always bring me to tears,, because out there somewhere I have a half sister whom I by some quirk of fate, I believe I actually met , she looked so much like my other half sister. I had no clue that my mother had given birth to another child, she did, but adopted her out. This woman told me that she was adopted. We attended Arthur Phillip High’ s “ night School” studying typing and shorthand , in 1965. I wish with all my heart that I could find her

The only thing that REALLY SUCKS about this particular series is that I can barely see the last couple days because my eyes are so swollen from crying while binge watching these incredible reunions! Unfortunately, I can relate all too well to the heartache of having a biological father who didn’t take any time or energy to get to know me until I started gaining serious recognition as a professional arena touring/recording drummer like he strived, struggled & failed to be during the 60’s & 70’s...
Sadly, heroin addiction destroyed SO MANY dreams & lives at that time, including my father....Sadly, this curse continues to destroy lives & generation after generation to this very day😳...
May God Have Mercy On Us ALL🙏✝️🙏

There’s been a lot of heartache throughout my life, but that same pain has also brought many blessings my way, and that pain is what brought me to my knees before Jesus Christ! There is NO greater blessing in the flesh or the spirit greater than that! I still struggle with my flesh daily, and there is sorrow in my heart for the ones I love the most here on earth who deny Him, but I will continue to pray for them, and I will endure to the end!

Beyond words and so emotionally moving. The Maori Welcome Haka was so powerful, have never seen anything like it. Absolutely soul-stirring and so spiritual. Wow! She so deserved such a royal welcome, I felt honoured to even witness it on video.
The lady before me commented that she was crying like a baby, the tears were pouring down my face too. That was some HAPPY ENDING! Well done everyone. Absolutely beautiful.
These stories are all so magical and absolutely riveting, I find it quite surprising they all evoke such an intense, overwhelming emotional response. I hardly ever cry but there is something about the parent-child relationship that has unique purity. It perfectly demonstrates unselfish love with no ulterior motives attached. Thank you for sharing these intensely personal moments and experiences, they are like a spiritual peep into the Heart of God.
    Bravo!

I am always overwhelmed by these reunions and how the loving Father of all mankind (though many do not know Him as that ) would make the way for children to meet their parent and vise versa...He is in the midst of this that's for sure
