Westchester County, NY here. Thanks for offering content on shade plants! Could you do a woodland garden webinar?

Thank you for this vital information. Glad you emphasized plants that tolerate full sun-full shade. Most of these are native in Maryland too!

Darn, I JUST ordered my plant projects at my local conservation program on Sunday. I would have loved this info. I tried to check with your native plants list but overwhelming! I am going to buy some of these too! Thanks for this video. From rural Moline, IL.

Thanks for planting native and glad that our info is helpful for your future projects. We think you'll really enjoy the plants we covered in this presentation, and want to make it as easy as possible for people to plant native!

I am in Chicago, but confined to container gardening on a patio up on the second floor. Do you have luck overwintering the native shade perinnials in containers?
Are there any native shade annuals you recommend for our area?

Thanks for your interest in planting native! We are planning on doing some container tests ourselves over the next year and would be very interested in your results. Some of the plants that we covered in this presentation may be good candidates to try in containers: Wild Geranium, Hairy Beardtongue, Large Leaf Aster, Short's Aster and Wild Columbine. When working with containers, try to get something deep to accommodate the roots of native plants, and also make sure it has a drainage hole. Let us know how it goes!

How to spread these from our own plants?
