- Hey guys, I'm back with another video!! So, in todays video I decided to do something fun. Simply put, usually on the channel we tend to watch the tense, stressful and even sad. So after the finale of Stranger Things all I wanted to do was watch a really happy movie so I decided to begin with Tangled!! This is hopefully going to be the start of a Disney/animation series, if you guys enjoy these kind of videos! Enjoy! xoxo

Another reason I like Eugene: He fell in love with Rapunzel even before he knew she was royalty.
I never thought of that but it's true, adding that to my list of reasons
I love Brad saying “let’s do a less traumatic film” and then picking the Disney movie about kidnapping and Stockholm Syndrome 🤡
*side note* : they came up with the design for Flynn by having a large group of female workers at Disney get in a conference room and talk about what kind of men they thought were hot

Every single male character that is either well-written (in live action films) or well-designed is usually thanks to a team of women. Actually, it's not just male characters, it applies to any character. This is why we must have more female writers and creators and directors!
They also knew what they were doing when they cast Zachary Levi as Flynn. His voice gives me the tingles in private places. 😏
Gothel is the definition of gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss. She's a terrible person but she serves 💅

eugene is actually 23 in the film! they explain it in the series: in season two, they say he was born 25 years ago; each season lasts for about a year (in season 3 he celebrates his 26th birthday), which means in season 1 he’s 24, and they also state the series starts a year after her return to Corona (the kingdom). so, according to calculations, flynn rider/eugene fitzherbert is in fact around 23 in the movie :)

16:52 Flynn isn't saying "Gothel" but "Garçon" which is the French word for "boy". It was a term commonly used to adress a waiter back then, in France and apparently in English speaking countries too. That's why he asks for their finest table right after 😊

ugh this is my absolute all time favorite disney princess movie. tangled will always be special to me.
Whenever Mother Gothel shows Rapunzel any kind of affection, she's actually showing it to her hair.
In contrast, when Eugene does the same, he pushes her hair away from her face.
around 11 minutes you're like "let's talk about how hot Flynn is" and like. somewhere in the behind the scenes of this movie they talk about how they basically went around to everyone in the studio and surveyed them on the "most attractive features in a man" and that's what they used to design Flynn/Eugene 😭 literally built to be as hot as possible

Yas!! I love this so much!!! Flynn Rider was so designed just to attract girls and gays and he so does. Ooh that smoulder!! Tangled is such a good film and glad it's getting love in the parks. I love the music and the story at heart!! Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy are able to portray the leads in such a good way!!
When they enter the pub Flynn says "Garçon, your finest table". It means "waiter" in French. So not gothel. 😀
Technically it means "boy" but it's what people used to say to call for a waiter so you're not completely far off!
The TV show (mostly Season 3) does explore a little bit about Mother Gothel and answers a lot of questions asked about the movie

Great reaction! This is one of my favorite movies! Interesting thing: whenever Gothel says “I love you,” she only ever touches Rapunzel’s hair. On the other hand, Flynn gently touches Rapunzel’s face whenever he shows her affection and only touches her hair when he is trying to help hold it up or push it out of her eyes.

You asked what Eugene meant by "if you do this then you will die." Let me explain. Near the beginning of the movie when Rapunzel is making the deal with "Flynn" to take her to see the lights, she tells him "And when I make a promise, I never ever break it." This establishes the sacredness of promises as far as Rapunzel is concerned. So fast forward to Eugene dying of the knife wound from Gothel, Eugene now knows that Rapunzel promised to go with Gothel forever if she lets her heal him. If he lets her heal him, her fate is sealed. Even if Eugene could somehow rescue her later, Rapunzel would have to violate her sacred promise to Gothel. Or else Rapunzel would say with Gothel forever. Either way, it is, in a sense, death for Rapunzel. So Eugene had to sacrifice his life to save her from that awful promise. He had no choice. He had to cut her hair to prevent her from having to face that promise she made.

14:04 Darling if you want to know the whole story there are some sequels all on Disney+ (in the story's chronological odrer): a film called "Tangled: Before Ever After", a 3 seasons series called "Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure" and a short film called "Tangled ever after".
But yeah, it's a little long hahah💜
20:38 Eugene’s age was actually changed in the Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure series. In Season 3 - around three years after the movie - we see Eugene's 26th birthday, making him around 23 years old during the movie and giving them a 5 year age gap✨

Gothel was teasing Rapunzel about her birthday, Rapunzel "dying" was a metaphor because if she stayed with Gothel, she would never be free and die a little inside, and Flynn HAD to cut her hair that short BECAUSE he had to cut at the roots so she wouldn't have any power. Also, Gothel was old; of course she'd turn to dust. And I don't remember her eyebrows glowing. 😂
Also, Flynn brought their daughter back, and Rapunzel likes Eugene because he's being himself. 😂
I absolutely loooove this movie and yes, Flynn is gooorgeous! And Zach Levi voicing him who is a stud himself...it's just the whole package!! When he starts siging with her on the boat?! I'm just dead 💜
rapunzel is one of my favorite disney princesses. She's so beautiful. Her eyes are green, clear and that hair oh my gosh. Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but also on the inside. My heart melts with everything she does. .I appreciate her because she is one of the first princesses to be portrayed as independent and strong. She does a lot by herself and is really a hero in the story. She doesn't need a prince kissing her to get rid of a curse.
I *need* Brad to watch the Tangled show. The lore it brings to the table and the songs are simply amazing
I noticed that people are confused when Flynn says then you will die. It's not literal, but her spirit will die. Who she is, she will become numb because know she knows the truth. It will eat away at her. Reminds me of Rose in Titanic, when Jack says that one that fire will burn out (or something like that).
I know this because it happend to me in my relationship, so it hits me everytime someone says something like this. Sorry went a little deep there🤣🙈😅😄

I love that you said something about the flower in the beginning. My one issue with the entire movie was the queen using the entire flower!! Couldn’t we have used a petal and tried to plant more of this miraculous plant? No one thought hey we should study this thing. Nope! Uproot it and then boil it. 😒🤦♀️ Great reaction. Love this movie.

I love Tangled! When my son was four he wanted to be Mother Gothel for Halloween and I went as Rapunzel and we thought we were hysterical 🤷

I love this movie and I have a great memory of seeing it at home with my little brother and father. At first he wasn't watching it with us, just sitting on the couch. But when the horse showed up my dad laughed so hard, he put down his ipad and watched with us. He loved the movie. It was so great🥰❤️

The king and queen are the worst people in the movie, Gothel used the flower and put a basket over it so technically it was still available to everyone but then the flower gets turned into soup as a one time cure because obviously the queen is SO MUCH MORE important than everyone else.

Eugene/Flynn is actually like 23 or 24. theres a short movie and a show that take place after this. the movie is 6 months later and the 1st episode is one week after that. Each season is about 1 year I'm guessing since Rapunzel turned 19 in the end of the 1st season so by the end of three she's around 20 and he has an episode where he turned 26 in that season

Actually to get technical the internet is probably saying he is 26 because at the end of Tangled the series he turns 26. And with some evidence from the show we can assume that the show takes place over 3 years from the end of the original movie. So he is actually 23 in this movie so their actual age difference is 5 years. But we also have to take into account that it is revealed in the show that Eugene is actually a year older than he thought he was. So he thought he was 22 when he met her but it is till kinda weird that he started a relationship with a fresh 18 year old at what he thought was a 4 year age difference. Sorry this is so pedantic but I just thought you should know.
Like I know that the "well in the olden days" argument is dumb coz it's fiction but if she hadn't been kidnapped she would already be married at 18 and have a kid or two
what irks me more than a 4/5 year age gap is the fact that he is the first person she meets like browse a little, girl
Also weirder that a 22yo falling in love with a barely legal ray of sunshine (literally) that brings joy into everyone's life is the writers deciding to make him that age like he could as easily be 19/20 and it would be fine by today's standards and it wouldn't affect the story at all
