- I got the Lenovo Legion 7i with a GeForce RTX 4070 in white about 4 weeks ago, and I am honestly really impressed. I love the chassis, the specs are great and I love that its able to support Ubuntu out of the box. However, I think battery life needs a bit more work. Lets talk about it! lenovo.com/legion

Question, should we compare it to my Asus Zephyrus G14? I know its a 14" laptop but its packed with an RTX 4070 and a Ryzen chip... Thermals will be different because of the smaller chassis and different design but it could be interesting...

I have an older legion 7 (from 2020) and it still works amazing not going to lie. One of the few gripes I have, also, is the damn charger 😂 this newer legion looks so clean and performs well! Thanks for the great insight, Andres!

Yeah I'm definitely not the target demographic for this thing. If battery life isn't a priority and power (for gaming or ML in particular) is, it looks awesome. Nothing has yet to beat the "MacBook Pro + gaming PC" combo for me, personally. Would be cool to see a review/comparison of one of the new ARM ThinkPads against a MacBook Pro, btw. I may lean Mac in general, but you just gotta love the ThinkPad.
Would you suggest me some good performance laptops for high end 4k editing. I know m2 m3 are supreme choices but I guess I might can't go along apple due to App usage and strong old window guy. Do you have any laptop in your mind that might near the MacBook performance zone. Personally I'm thinking about lenovo legion 7, ausu rog zyhrus/strix g16. But still I have my adoubt about battery life, ram and cooling issues on high performance. Thanks

just bought this laptop and must say im very impressed. Im a huge AMD fan and thats all ive owned since 2001 so this is my first intel. I had the Legion 5 with the Ryzen 7 and upgraded the ram and installed a second 1 TB drive. Was a great system but i gave it to my son as a gift. This is a huge step forward from the Legion 5. Just installed another 1 TB drive and thats all I'll need to do for this thing. Great laptop Lenovo.
Watching him react to 58°C like it's a huge deal while my Alienware M15 R1 is glowing red melting through my cooling pad on top of another cooling pad. Lasted 6 years though lmao.

The quality production is an other level
I don't think the panels are plastic, they are aluminium and use a weird coating for the white color. If you get the black color, its all anodised aluminium. Had this laptop for like 2 months now, using it for school and gaming mainly, just blows through everything without an issue. I can't believe how much I love this laptop. Just wish the keyboard area and palm area didn't get so annoyingly hot, it doesn't throttle or anything but it is just unsettling.

Sunday funday! Great quality as always, i'd love to see how it compares to the G14/G16 in everyday usage and programming! Having been using a 2020 Strix G17(2060, 10750h, 16gb) for the past couple years for coding and school and it's been going pretty great but it's struggling nowadays especially with the short battery life on gaming laptops. It might be time for an upgrade to a G14 maybe?

In this course their will be core subjects of computer science as well as on ai and ds. My budget is around 1.2 to 1.6 or 1.7 lakh INR laptop which roughly about 1,437.14 us dollars to 2,035.95 United States Dollars. As a professional laptop which one should I buy. windows or MacBook? and which models would it suffice? I'm even ready to wait for the new ai powered chip sets by both m4 MacBooks and xelite windows. Right now I have and radeon hp laptop with 8 gb ram and 1 tb HDD storage with and ryzen processor. What should I do ? Can you help? What and how to manage hpc ? What to buy? My work load generally require 32 gb of ram and graphics of 4060- 4090 nvidia. And I don't know much difference between by how much the processor differ from intel and and but i prefer and. Putting the laptop on soft surface did not help the temps for sure.. Buying a nice metal ventilated plate would help for sure... Otherwise a good video review.
21:37 yeah all the function work fine. like mentioned Nvidia drivers may not work properly in ubutu. For proper working Nvidia drive we need linux version with built in drivers like popOS etc...Sometimes battery life will sucks with ubuntu because of gnome..
