I think it would be a great idea with more videos of this type, and perhaps in particular a series of videoes that goes through settings that are usefull in different use cases, or scenarios. One thing is to know what settings do, but the next step is to make the connection between use cases and suitable settings. You could help us more with that in a series of videoes, each focused on a particular type of photography/use case.
Next, there have been some changes to how custom settings work, that have been confusing to a lot of people. Some things custom setting were useful for in the past, they are less useful for now; and visa versa. You could help us understand that better.

Great video. I've owned my for a year and continue to learn it and love it. I wish there were ways to make the only the menus I actually use visible and the rest (like movie settings, etc.) D I S A P P E A R!
Having worked for Fuji for 20 years as a pro products tech rep, I am stunned they have made the X camera commitment. I laughed when they first talked about it in 2010. Purchased the X-E1, then a couple of S-E2S bodies and thought I was done. The T5 is a camera I dreamed of and I haven't awoken from that dream since it arrived.
I helped introduce REALA film in the 90's and LOVED using it for blue flowers as well as skin tone of ANY color (which is what the original tests were done for). I'll be anxious to see if the Reala Ace simulation handles human eye spectral sensitivity as the film did - EXTREMELY well.
    Thanks.

Thank you for this video. I'd like to see someone do a video of using the Xapp v2 with X-T5 for geotagging. I find it nearly useless (if I'm doing it right) as it requires unlocking the iPhone screen and having the Xapp active every time you turn on your camera. This is impractical as you don't want to leave your camera on all day. If you don't do what I just stated, it will only geotag the last known position and tag all subsequent photos there, regardless of your movement/location between each photo. I thought it should reconnect to the app every time on its own. Some users have suggested that is happening for them but I suspect they are mistaken. Please do a video on this topic after you fully understand the limitations of the Fuji geotagging process.

    Hi Fuji Guys team,
Would there be a future tutorial video as to how to setup and use the X-T5 as a webcam camera for video conferencing purposes?
I have downloaded the Fujifilm X Webcam 2 software (Mac version), set the connection mode to "USB webcam", set the usb power supply/comm setting to "off/on" with no success when using with Skype or Google Meet.
I am guessing that the X-T5 is currently not compatible with the Fujifilm X Webcam 2 software?
Not sure as to whether there will be a future firmware or software update to allow me to use my X-T5 as a webcam.
Greatly appreciated for your assistance and thoughts.
All the best from Perth, Western Australia.

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Andrew, the X-T5 does not need the X-Webcam software. You simply need to set the usb connection to webcam and it should appear as a webcam into you software.
Make sure that whatever video conferencing software is up to date.
And we'll take your suggestion on making a video!
      Thanks!

Is there a way to separate the custom image/photo settings from the shooting settings? It was never like this before and has made the custom settings more complicated. I don't want to have to remember or change my non-image related settings every time I want to use a different photo/image look in a different custom slot. The X-T4 had this set up great- 7 custom settings that could be used with the same global shooting settings across all 7 slots. Now, if one wants the shooting settings from custom slot 2 to apply to slot 3 (or 4, or all of them), better not forget to change or check them. The new auto-save function doesn't help either since it only affects each individual slot. While I can appreciate the additional settings functions can be set up for different scenarios (fast action, portraits, etc), it's more convoluted to use the custom recipes just for different looks. Would be nice to at least give the option to separate image settings and shooting settings and let the user decide. Give a custom bank for image settings and a separate bank for shooting settings.

Had an XT-2 in the past. The new XT-5 is way better for my needs. However the familiarity of using an XT in the past came right back. Thanks for that - one issue for me is around the setting of the function buttons (fn) I am trying to set the Photometry to a button and face/eye detect to another and subject detect to another. The camera lets me do this, but when I then press any of the 3 fn buttons nothing happens. Why can I not set these 3 buttons? They are not greyed out which would tell me I can't select them and also Photometry is for exposure and face/eye detect for focus so there shouldn't be any conflict....can you help? I've just upgraded from an X-T2 to an X-T5. The X-T5 has some obvious advantages, but it's noticeably more complex to setup and operate than the X-T2. Re your video, when you turn the exposure compensation dial to C and look through the viewfinder, how can you see what the current value of exposure compensation is? You only touched on the question of customising the Q menu. Could you please do a detailed video on how to set up the custom settings banks so that you can switch from one genre of shooting to another by simply changing which bank you're using? Thanks.

      Hi Rodney,
on the left side of the EVF you will see a light meter telling you if you are under or over exposed (in manual mode) if you are in P,A, or S you can look at the same light meter and it will tell where you compensation is at ( should be at 0 by default ).
