Mellisa Khat I understand how your feeling. I have deep stretch marks on my tummy on sides from being pregnant. I also have them on my boob's and thighs from growing into a woman. A real man will NEVER say anything about strech marks, they honestly are beautiful if you think about it. I have strips like a fucking 🐯!!!! You are beautiful hunny.. never think different!
When I was 14 my boobs grew quickly and that's when I found out that body shaming is so very common among women. Other girls were saying I was a slut because of something I had NO control over! It's so weird to me that people assume to know my sexuality (and libido) based on what my body looks like.
Hug! There can be that attachment with it! Have read other stories - All this, I hope it has gotten better for this generation… have seen more body types in magazines and catalogues now, think that helps ❤️
Maybe this is weird, but I like how Adwoa Aboah hugs everybody she meets! They're always very sincere hugs too and I feel like they help the people she meets feel more comfortable around her.
I love how optimistic she is and open as well. It's great to see for once someone who actually feels self conscious but then allows herself to open up. I can really relate to her.
After watching this,I feel like I can take on the whole wide world and express myself more deeply within my writings. This was a great refreshening awakening to the realization that females have come so far. I do wish though that people would look beyond the physical of a women breast and focus on the message because it seems like people aren't receiving the message which is that it is a horrible experience as a women to be objectified in this society.
im a guy however i will never ever stop supporting and finding so much joy out of videos like this i fucking love watching people take back whats theirs keep inspiring
I love this! So inspiring! I've always wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle, but now I also want to start/gather a group of feminist bikers (where I live).
Oh please don't, I bet there's enough of those already where you live... Women bikers is an outdated trend now, you gotta find something else to bring attention to yourself and make you feel special and important... You go girl!
No, I live in a tiny village, if you want something here, you gotta create it by yourself. And In my village, I'm known for inspiring and gathering people with same intrests. I most definitely don't care about trends. Either way, I'm gonna get a motorcycle license and buy myself a motorcycle because I want to, and I can as well form a group. By the way, there's no need for attention or approval. I'm already in peace with myself, and I already know that I am special and important - just like every other earthling. I'm here to make a change for the better. And I hope that you are too.
Filippa Vivianne My bad, I thought it was for attention, in that case if it can bring people together in a small village, then go for it girl, good luck! ;)
She said she wanted to ride a motorcycle and you immediately assumed it was for attention, she literally said it was something she's always wanted to do. Watch the video again and actually try to understand this time. How are people this ignorant lol
this is what it's about encouraging the confidence, sexuality, and love of being a woman with no shame and not letting anyone tell us what can or can't be and promoting the equality that we were all born with and deserve. women like this are the reason people are making a change in the way people view us as the unique, beautiful, and powerful women we are
It truly impresses me how strong pole dancers and strippers are, physically and mentally. I'm so inspired by them and how empowered they are with their work. Women are ethereal.
I started watching this video and thought "oh my god. It's gonna be another 20 minute video talking about prostitution and it's issues and all the things we already know" But I was wrong. I was also wrong to think that it IS good for us woman to fit in and follow society rules because it's always been the "right and normal thing to do". But now.. I feel completly different about eveeything. From being insecure with my own body, to the way I look to feminists and women who just don't care about these rules. It is just so important to talk about these things, and I think people don't appreciate the time and effort u put in it as they should. Congratulations, your channel is amazing. Your attitude too. Love from Brazil 💙
This video gives such a beautiful message no matter what anyone says. I believe this is what needs to be seen by the majority. I wish everyone would see this and act upon it. This is truly beautiful.
This was the first episode I have seen from this channel, and I immediately subscribed by the end. This was an incredibly empowering episode and I hope to see many more like this in the future.
This whole video is so inspiring, so interesting, so important. I think the reason why all this women look so indie/badass/trendy/whatever is because they exude confidence and self-awareness, they "embrace their goddessness". Anyone can get to that point of self-love if you want, you shouldn't feel intimidated by other women, that's kind of the point. YOU ROCK GIRLS, I LOVE YOU
Adwoa is fucking bad ass like everything about her, her look her style and the way she carries herself. Some people just look cool no matter what they do or wear and she's one of those people ugh girl crush.
I know how everyone is talking about how only pretty models and attractive women are featured but if you notice clearly these women don't meet ideal beauty standards. They're unique and their personalities shine. The reason they seem so attractive is because they own who they are quirks and all and rock it.
Can someone explain this video to me ? I really dont seem to understand. Showing you breast in order to earn more equality ? In order to reach this you need to make men understand. It's about both genders right ? Men are sexualising the female body and thats what these women should complain about. If men would stop doing that, women could show there body the way they want. But i think that this is not possible. It's just a part of our nature to feel attracted towards women . Thats what we are here for in the first place. We are alive to spread our genes. In order to do so we have to sexualize . I think people are just over-intellectualising the human being . For me this is just a very narcissistic behavior of these women. For them its about "Do whatever they want to do" but this is not possible in our society. Neither for women or men.
Of course women don't rape or catcall as much as men do because of the physiological and pyschological difference between genders. Men are more focused on sexual trades like for example the female chest . A "big chest" remindes men of a thick waist even if its only subconscious, its a thing of nature. Nevertheless i do understand the video better now. Thank you :)
+Aktion Reaktion my please, I'm happy I could help :) and of course we have all this stuff biologically proved but many people think that we should be able to control ourselves more, that's also why they show nipples :)
We need more women like you who are willing to speak. i am just so sad to see how many women are so afraid of speaking out because they might scare away men or others they want to be liked by, my own mother has said things like women shouldn't be police officers or paramedics because they aren't strong enough and it hurts so much to see someone so close to me actually believe that. i am so devastated that my body is just seen as nothing but a sexual object. once summer comes around and i put on my shorts and walk to work i will be cat called or honked at by at least two men and all i do is lower my head and keep walking. why is it too much to ask to be respected.
I truly loved Karen's attitude and stance on menustration. As someone who has always had anger rise inside of me when made to feel gross for speaking about my period, I agree with everything she is safely, but, more than that, I greatly admire and respect her ability to speak about it with grace, patience, and positivity.
"Free the Nipple" as a concept and movement amongst women was a movement before Instagram and that DIRECTOR even existed. I admire HER vision and the momentum behind it, the organization of it etc. That said, I felt as though this needed to be said.
I really loved this! A lot of comments have been hating on an apparent misrepresentation of 'ugly or 'fat' girls, and I'd just like to say here that that's the exact reason why this sort of video has been posted. Can we all please stop hating on people because they're good looking and successful?! That's not what feminism is.
This is a really dope documentary because this shows that my creativity can really do something in the world and I'm going to stop trying to fit in and try my hardest to fit out thunk outside the box and be creative because being 13 I have a chance to change history for girls around the world
It's a very great video with such an important topic. Thanks for that. Society really has to change and I feel we're in a very tricky time, where a lot of things change, aspecialy genderroles and freedom of sexuality. Some of this normes are ridiculous if you really think about it, like the Ban on female nipples. But sometimes it's a little hard for me to agree with some of the stuff, because I'm a man and sometimes it feels like there is a hatred against man, even though a lot of them share the same opinion. And I really understand it, because I had to fight against homophobes my whole life. But please just handle each other with respect. We all want to make our lifes in this world easier and better.
personally as a women I believe the whole 'hatred of men' argument started in retaliation to drown out female voices, almost a 'hey! we hurt too!". I admit, I do throw around the fucking men! I hate men! But do I really hate all men? Of corse not! But it's easier to say that then remember countless names, plus you have to try and understand the anger and frustration women feel when they are confronted with these issues, because the reality is, men are mainly the reason why women are not equal right? It's history, history of over sexualization of the female figure that has fed down through generations just like most types of oppression. I'm sure all 'feminists' who actually carry out this hatred of men literally are NOT feminists, it totally defeats the purpose of the movement. Just try and see where this hatred has stemmed on before you judge a women, because most of the time it's something thats a whole lot bigger then you and your hurt feelings. Hope this makes sense. X
The only happy people in this doc were the strippers. They are the most comfortable and confident. They are the heroes here--all the other people are fearful and lacking in confidence and angry at the world for no reason.
I really like this movement and although in this time era, we as women are still not treated like humans and are portrayed to what men want us to be, like Ali and Adwoa said, we have to teach women in this generation and the next generation about being comfortable in our own bodies. And i know it has nothing to do with female empowerment but something should be done to help teach men and raising them to think differently about women but that's a whole different story. Also, I feel like people who comment here on how they don't relate to these women simply for the fact that these women who are being interviewed are more expressive in their looks (or how 'beautiful' they are) are missing the point. They are everyday women who have jobs and/or go to school, just being a person and like you and me, they face struggles, like every woman does because they are women who do what they like to do and get discriminated by it. Every woman at some point in their life, skinny or fat (and in-between) and being of colour or not (and in-between) has gotten some kind of beauty standard or sexualization thrown at them telling them what they should look or act like. You don't have to dress or look like them, be 'trendy' or 'indie-looking as them' to feel empowered or self-discover, just be you and be confident as a woman, that's what it's about :).
this video really speaks to how important feminism is and its impact it has on women in their everyday life. I really feel as though nay saying misogynistic anti-feminist should watch this and feel ashamed that these same beautiful spirited people are the ones that they oppress with their bigot commentary. Being a woman I feel empowered, as an African American I feel empowered, and I'm excited to one day be as brave as these girls and raise awareness of these injustices.
hi, i know its not about that, but i saw the videos separately earlier a couple of times so now i ask... can someone please tell me whats that music at around 7.30? thanks alot
this is all just ridiculous to me. what happened to modesty? I don't wanna be treated the same as a man because I am different and special in my own way for being female. I should be treated with respect YES but I'm not taking my clothes off for anyone.
Yes, there may only be young attrackive women featured in this vid but honestly, to me its about getting ppl to think and raise awareness, not about the faces of feminism; and if the young and pretty can do it the easiest, thats the way it is.
I agree for the most part with everything on the video; however, how do you compromise the movement of wanting to free the nipple and stop sexualizing women's bodies while at the same time advocating for the use of women's bodies as a sexual attraction in strip clubs?
That's a really interesting perspective. I think the idea behind it is that we sexualize too much, in areas where the body doesn't have to be sexualized. A teenaged girl walking down the street with her nipples free isn't exactly the same thing as a grown woman shaking her ass on stage for money.
I think it's about not shaming women for their sexuality. Not shaming them for walking with their nipples out, not shaming them for choosing to be a stripper.
Jordan Bert they are protesting because the nipple Isnt free yet lol. They can't be topless because it's illegal, hence #freethenipple. They're trying to make women being topless legal.
striping is so paradoxical. both parties think that they have more power over the other party. Too bad they factor power into the equation in the first place :(
I really enjoyed this piece! I was a bit disappointed when Coneja was shown for like 5seconds, and that was it! I really wish there was more of her. I didn't see or understand what part she fit in with???? Anyone know?
I feel like there's a bit of hypocrisy here.. holding up signs that say "my body my business" but then freeing the nipple and walking around topless and thus making your body other people's business. At 1:38 she says she doesn't want to have her boobs out if it isn't creative for the shoot but then says everyone should have their boobs out for no reason whenever they want.
lmao just because they have their boobs out doesnt mean it's other people's business, just because you have your wallet out doesnt mean you're asking someone to steal it. with the shoot thing she can decide whether or not she wants her boobs out. men can be shirtless so I dont see why women cant. Breasts are for babies to suck on and not sex so it souldn't be sexualized just because it turns the opposite gender on. Just because a guy has hot abs doesnt mean he is asking for me to touch him.
It is really about choice and comfort for women that is equal in opportunity to men. Men can take their shirt off in hot weather to cool down or swim etc but women cannot do this as it is literally illegal and a whole host of bad things may happen to them due to the learnt behaviour by everyone to over sexualize the woman's breasts. Growing up as a girl you learn that women cannot just take their tops off to cool down or be comfortable if they wish because it is normal but wouldn't it only improve our world if women could do this? If a person/man sexualised a woman appropriately, only when that woman showed he could, rather than over sexualising lots of women that they just see in the street who are minding their own business, wouldn't that make for a slightly better world with far more equality and opportunity for both the sexes? A far more human experience.
Those aren't feminists, those are just haters. A majority of feminists like Kim K because she isn't ashamed of getting plastic surgery and she was honest about it and that she isn't ashamed of her body naked.
Everything else was great but that pole dancer who claimed the beginnings of pole dancing was stripping is definitely misinformed. Just Google the history of pole dancing or pole sport and you'll find Chinese or Indian pole. Perhaps she meant the sexualisation of pole dancing originated in stripclubs cause the act of climbing up and down poles was around for centuries before that. Anyways just my two cents, I'm totally nit picking though ...
i LOVE how adwoa still gets nervous, she's so human
adwoa is a trans and 2pac faked his death. obvi af
I'm insecure about my stretch marks and bacne and after watching this video definitely made me more comfortable and confidence in my skin.
You're ugly as shit. You should fix that instead of accept it.
***** why not fix it??? too lazy?
Are you going to answer?
carlos caceres lol, fix your attitude first.
When I was 14 my boobs grew quickly and that's when I found out that body shaming is so very common among women. Other girls were saying I was a slut because of something I had NO control over!

If it was just up to men alone girls could wear what they want to
Hug! There can be that attachment with it! Have read other stories - All this, I hope it has gotten better for this generation… have seen more body types in magazines and catalogues now, think that helps ❤️
This is so good! i-D always makes the best videos about things, including WOC into it and showing girls you wouldn't see on the tv
So inspiring, especially the girl that ran the marathon, thank you
The girl that ran the marathon really made me think of how much stigma is around menstruation. She is my hero.
The girl who ran the marathon was nasty.
❤
아기용인미 Lol typical SJW
아기용인미 Name the time and place.
this video embodies everything i stand for. much praise for these women, Adwoa, and all other gurls fighting for their rights and health

Adwoa is fucking bad ass like everything about her, her look her style and the way she carries herself. Some people just look cool no matter what they do or wear and she's one of those people ugh girl crush.
This whole video was put together so well and I love all the different people in it !!

Is she a model? She has that unique look.
Yeah, she's a model.
Going Back Home right she's so beautiful and genuine and that women's got a outfit for fucking everything
Can someone explain this video to me ? I really dont seem to understand.
Showing you breast in order to earn more equality ? In order to reach this you need to make men understand. It's about both genders right ?
You are right. The selfcontrol should be part of our evolution as a human
+Aktion Reaktion I couldn't agree with you more but sadly, many men are driven by this animal instinct and it ends with rape :(
The fight against human instinct is futile.
EVERY FEMALE IS A PIECE OF ART AND I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT
Yes Leslie 'Harambe' Jones is a real piece of art I just want to paint a portrait of the beauty using her own hair/
I'm a 15 year old girl and I love riding on the back of my dad's motorbike and I want to get my motorbike licence when I'm older.
I really suggest you go for it, I got my bikers license when i was seventeen and its really fucking amazing. Good luck!
Nina Cooper yeassss girll go for it and make urself proud :)

I love this video so much. ❤ WE ARE FUCKING QUEENS AND GODDESSES AND NOBODY CAN TELL US DIFFRENT 👑👑👑👑
And we are fucking kings and Gods and nobody is gonna tell us otherwise. But that is sexist right?
no.. it's not sexist.
Thank you, you managed to give me a little bit more hope that feminism still has some logic in it
Your welcome
Lainie Ochoa queens of what? 😂😂😂
This has to be my favourite video on TH-cam. Very empowering and beautiful
I thoroughly enjoy Adwoa's vulnerability & style
"Free the Nipple" as a concept and movement amongst women was a movement before Instagram and that DIRECTOR even existed.

She has the most beautiful voice and this is the most beautiful message. YAY WOMEN!!

We really need this inspiration now
I, absolutely, love this channel. I don't know why I never subscribed even though I would binge watch.
They're all so attractive ♡ I sneezed while typing this
amazing doc! thanks s2

I wish you would do video on female gamers. There is so much discrimination against females.

This is so inspiring, thanks for making this.
Brave girls
Wouldn't call it brave, just unconventional
Nothing brave about that, just doing your thing.
Calling it brave is sexist
Just said it with a good intention. And they are brave in my opinion, for creating new values and norms for themselves, and orher women.
Great video!
19:05 who would have guessed that would happen during an interview on feminism!
The girl with the orange hair is so pretty tf I'm so jealous of her body face everything omg
I really like this movement and although in this time era, we as women are still not treated like humans and are portrayed to what men want us to be, like Ali and Adwoa said, we have to teach women in this generation and the next generation about being comfortable in our own bodies. can someone please tell me whats that music at around 7.30? thanks alot
I want to know too
+Anna GO no it doesnt work
this is like wow, world is changing. Gurls power 🤘🏼
Such a neat short film :)
Amazing documentary, amazing presenter. Watching from London. 🇬🇧
#FREETHENIPPLE
armopia Are you implying that pineapples shouldn't be free?
***** XD
MissCaraMint XDDD
What a beautiful documentary.
Je ne comprends pas though, they're saying free the nipple but they're not really, they tape them up? why??
they might get arrested if thet actually showed their nipples
real activists go through such lengths to prove their point.
i'm sure their entire point is that women shouldn't be arrested for freeing the nipple.
LOVE THIS. FIRST TIME SEEING. DID I SAY I LOVE THIS. WOMEN CHANGING THE REALITY IS WHAT MAKES REALITY.
The blonde stripper's Amy Winehouse tattoo is everything I want plus her scorpio tattoo is awesome... I would love to be able have
I love this series so much, every single one of these women is what I aspire to be in so many aspects with my life. x
this is all just ridiculous to me. what happened to modesty? I don't wanna be treated the same as a man because I am different and special in my own way for being female. I should be treated with respect YES but I'm not taking my clothes off for anyone.
Its about having the right to choose.
Oh fuck modesty ugh
booshiebear101 if thats the case man aren't allowed to have their shirts off either.
DarklingFaerie I'm fine with that. I honestly don't want to see all the fat men with saggy tits.
Youre right, Snowflake.
Iv watched this like 5 times, I love it.
this video was amazing it made me feel so good about myself and how beautiful and godesslike woman are. I'm so proud to be female wow
Jonathan M. One is unwarranted and non consensual
If they want to "free the nipple" why are they all wearing pasties? kind of backwards thinking.
Just a question, let me know what you guys think
because if they didn't it would count as indecent exposure, which is illegal and they could be arrested...
but isn't it a protest? might as well make a statement.
+Jordan Bert Like you said, it's a protest. They can't protest and fight for their rights if they get arrested.
exactly
Jordan Bert they are protesting because the nipple Isnt free yet lol. They can't be topless because it's illegal, hence #freethenipple. They're trying to make women being topless legal.
BROOKE CANDY!
this is one of the most amazing videos i've seen
striping is so paradoxical. both parties think that they have more power over the other party. Too bad they factor power into the equation in the first place :(
This is a well done documentary🌸
Aaaaaaand....*click*.....subscribed
i loved this! GIRL POWER!
So many negative comments like wow
Im in LOVE with this video! I just really like it!!
I really enjoyed this piece! I was a bit disappointed when Coneja was shown for like 5seconds, and that was it! I really wish there was more of her. I didn't see or understand what part she fit in with???? Anyone know?
amazing video. felt so empowered after watching thank you
I feel like there's a bit of hypocrisy here.. holding up signs that say "my body my business" but then freeing the nipple and walking around topless and thus making your body other people's business.
If it's about freeing nipples, why are they covering them with tape?
Sorry, for the stupid question, I'm just really puzzled here...
TheWitchvortex They'll get arrested lol
vaginas are there not just for sex. yhey can be funny and smart too
It is really about choice and comfort for women that is equal in opportunity to men.
I love this video so much wow
Ok but then why do a bunch of femenist shame Kim k
Yoana Sucks
True! Love your profile picture btw!
Those aren't feminists, those are just haters. A majority of feminists like Kim K because she isn't ashamed of getting plastic surgery and she was honest about it and that she isn't ashamed of her body naked.
I love these so much
19:06 the meme lives on
My moms always discouraged me getting a motorcycle and always put me down on the idea, this clipping really makes me want to get a motorcycle
I don't get it, why is it called free the nipple if they are all covering up their nipples. It's a step forward though.
Because they would be arrested
well what are protests for
Tru
it shows feminist logic. "We want equal rights for women!!!"....."How can you tell that to a woman!!!"
Maya Rasmussen because it is most likely illegal
I've just started watching but it's already giving me shivers and making me smile ♡
C'EST PAS interdit aux USA le topless ?
Isn't topless forbidden in the USA ?
i love her voice so much !!!!
