You need to do another challenge on Toledo bend around April. The shad spawn is on and shortly after the bream start moving up to spawn and those big females are trying to fatten back up. The frog and creature bait bite gets cranked up good! those frog shows are awesome to watch and even better to experience!

I've noticed a lot of rods are like that. Perhaps it gives leverage...
+Kevin Hansen yes more leverage..it helps a bunch
Makes a huge difference when setting the hook. I usually anchor the butt end of the rod against my rib cage to help keep a strong grip on the rod without relying on the wrist to do all the work. It also helps me to be more accurate with my casts.

hey scott, do you put snap snivels on your line for your crankbaits? i feel like they make it so much easier to switch baits, but always wondered if it would screw up the retrieve

Scott Martin If you ever are up this way or looking for some great spots.....Cape Cod and Nantucket has a awesome striped bass run, and bonito/false albacore as well. There are also great little spots for freshwater bass fishing....anyways, been a huge fan or yours for awhile and great to see you here on TH-cam! Good luck, continued success and tight lines!
