some of you were asking about the CT2000.1D after i posted the previous results of the 3200.1. I have one here so before it lands at it's final destination i figured i would test it just to show what it puts out. Seems like to put out some good power, especially for the price tag. Back in my day, first of all, 2000 watts was unheard of. You were the KING of the block if you had 500 watts. You were untouchable if you had 1000 watts. And that was about it. And it was EASILY $1.00 sometimes 2 bucks a watt. So 10 cents is pretty damn cheap. If you are looking for budget friendly power, this amp might be the one. Maaaaan, this is EXACTLY like the old JBL 1200.1's I use to use with my Brahmas before upgrading to XXX's! They were ROCK solid, and hardly anything could touch them at the price point.. Has me singing like Edith Bunker! "Those were the days!"
I bought a CT 1000.1 and CT 80.4 for my Jeep wrangler. I don't have much room and didn't want to spend a lot of money on amps that are easy to steal and get wet and muddy all the time, no top on the Jeep. I could not be happier. They sound fine, and don't seem to care about the occasional rain or pressure washer mist.

Clean little amp! The box for my synergy wfo arrived with a wet bottom. Had me straight puckerin, inner 2 boxes were dry and perfect. Delivery folks just don't give a damn.

It's amazing how cheap things are getting these days. Back when I was in high school in 2005 or so, I remember my electronics teacher telling us that for car audio stuff to expect to pay a dollar per watt, and to question anything less. That wasn't even 20 years ago, I wonder how the game is going to be in another 20 years from now

I went hog wild when they had a sale several months ago... two 6.5 meso subs powered by the ct1000.1d, the 3 way meso 6.5 separates for the front stage, the 2 way meso 6.5 separate's for the sound bar powered by the CT 150.4. all in a 2022 gladiator. Only 1600 wats total but more than I have had in a previous car. I've been tinkering after work getting it all in the car for a few months but am gonna have the local shop install the PAC and RF DSR1 for integration cause that's all Greek to me and I don't wanna fry anything. Cant wait to actually hear it. I know you have channel sponsors and likely have to be careful not to promote the competition, but if you have any opinions as the the speaker sound and quality it would be appreciated.
I have two CT-150.4d's one running my mid bass and the other amp running a set of CT Sounds Meso 3 way components on a channel running full range and using the Meso's passive crossover and the other channel runs my midrange. I also have a CT-80.4d running my highs. I love CT Sounds they have quality gear at affordable prices and these amps are beasts. They are clean and crisp even when pushing them a bit. UPS damaged a package I shipped once. They actually told me they can drop a package 5 times before they have to contact you. But who knows if they actually report each time something happens.

that was definitely a transport issue, however ct sounds really needs to up their packaging quality. i purchased the loaded tropo 2x12 box and it arrived damaged as well. poor packaging around the edges of the box. there were no edge braces at all, just some Styrofoam
Does anyone have experience using a XS Power VCM Dash Mounted Digital Voltage Control? What kind of setup is this product suited for? I'm confused about them and if they even necessary... Doesn't the vehicle set the voltage based on what it needs without one?
You can probably run a couple of them with this amp. But 1 would be fine too, that's what the gain knob is for. Personally I'd look at something a little less power for you sub and save ya a few bucks like one of the Stinger offerings. They also make great sub amps. You don'y want to drive your sub at 100% RMS. Like 80-90% so it doesn't overheat.
Quick question. I just bought a xs power d3400 only because I was able to get it brand new for $200. I have a Duracell platinum under the hood right now and a 110 amp alt . Can I run the d3400 as a secondary battery or would it cause a problem?
For starters, CT bass knob is basic no volt or clip indicator. The AT knob has voltage and clip. CT's are not strappable, AT's are strappable. CT's provide top power at 14.4v, AT's at 13.2v
I have a ct1500.1 and a skar evl12 wired at 1 ohm. Im in this for less than 500 bucks for box and all. Im happy with both products so far and you would never guess 1 12 is hitting like that
Im in a similar but even worse situation. I put this amp on a DDX12 at 1ohm. Needless to say, it went to 4ohm really quickly and it still barely handles it. I grossly underestimated the power this amp makes. Planning on replacing the DDX with a CT Meso 12 or even the Exo, because the DDX isnt going to last long lmao
I think I would be calling the shipping company to be honest. You shouldn't have to void your warranty just to see if the product survived shipping or not.
I'm running two CT Sounds amps. The 1000.1 and the 80.4. the 1000.1 barely gets warm but the 80.4 keeps shutting off, thermal protect. I'm running two marine speakers bridged. Have a Kenwood h/u so Ive only got the gains set at a quarter turn. Any ideas what would be making it get so hot Steve? I am running 16 gauge wire to the speakers but they are 25 ft runs. Oh and I'm running at four ohms.
if they cut out it probably means 2 things. Your gains aren't set right and you are overdriving them or you are running your impedance too low. You saying your gains are "set at 1/4 turn" tells me they are wrong. That means absolutely nothing. Set them right bro and check back. Either use a DD-1, a DD-1+ or in the very minimum, get an O-scope and use it correctly (the same procedure as a DD-1).

CT sounds definitely comin hard these past couple years. Internals look stout. Almost went with their 3 way set for the price, but pieced it together cuz power handling and I wanted 6.5 on the dash for butter mids. For me the amp dimensions aren't good(DC 2k user), but quite slim, I like. Steve, any interest or demand for an all in one pricier SMD fat boy meter like a Klein or Fluke multimeter? You and D'Amore came up with great tools, but having a bag or case with all these meters can become tedious at times. And that's on top of having oscilo meter and phase checker.
Been rockin a team 3k for 5 years, HARD! Ran it at .5ohm for a bit. Can 100% vouch for the meso subs and meso 3way sets as well. I torture these things, they just do
For those 2 12's I'd go with the next step up from this amp the 3200.1 ... I'm running 2 of these 2000.1 to 2 tarantula 10's that are only rated for 900rms and they handle this amp at 1ohm no problem.

Jbl in general is a much better brand than Planet audio. There are a lot of factors to consider though.

Quality subs can actually take more RMS power than listed. I would take in account box rise etc and go for an amp that gives more than 2400 RMS.
