    Great video! Best presentation for this backpack.
    I have a question: the official website and almost all the sellers mention "Cordura" but they don't say what Codura. I found a Polish seller that mentions "Codura 750". Is there any official confirmation regarding the Denier for this particular backpack?
    It is strange not to specify the Denier, as it is an important diferentiatior.

    That is a neat feature they considered when making the compression straps longer. I have always had the issue of securing a small day pack or rappelling pack. Usually it is tied on very haphazardly with para-cord, webbing, and carabiners.

    Very good review. All pros and contrs at sight. I've been thinking of acquiring a Wisport Whistler (I saw your review and I thought it would be my perfect 4-5 days rucksack but I saw a short review of the new Wisport Zipper Fox (I'd thank a lot a review of this rucksack) and another one about the Wisport Racoon 45, a bag that has the same FAS as the one you are introducing today.
    It's a clearly improvable system as you have demonstrated with two light shakings.
    Three days ago I had no doubt about purchasing a Whistler but now, the Recoon and the Zipper seem to be a good choice. If I choose the Recoon could I arrange the FAS with a Velcro? Could you give some advise, please?
    Thanks a lot for your reviews because you show pros and contrs and that's great indeed

      Thank you for the nice words.
      I've also seen the Zipper Fox, and has contacted the company to see if they would sponsor a pack for test, but have not heard anything yet.
      If you choose the Racoon 45, you have some different choices regarding the FAS. You could sew on some velcro, use a double D buckle to fasten the webbing, use some tape to prevent the webbing to become undone, or lastly just sew the webbing together after adjusting the FAS to your body.
      I really like the Wisport packs, because they are of good quality and not so expensive.

    I own Sparrow III. Was always wondering why the heck straps are so long :)

  • @RabidAngel
    @RabidAngel 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    For the FAS system, are the straps that have issues with sliding standard 1" webbing? I was thinking a solid solution would be to cut and seal the double-thick ends, then slide a ladder lock fastener over the end and use that as a double secure point for the webbing. The unit may slide with those simple fasteners they use but I doubt they'd move so much with an added double lock.
    Thoughts?

      first I have to say I'm sorry for the late reply. My job is taking most of my time, but that will change soon, so I'll be able to post more reviews :-)
      I think your solution sounds like a really good idea. Previous I've actually sewn some of the webbing together, on my backpacks, depending on if I needed to adjust them or not.

    • @RabidAngel
      @RabidAngel 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reply! The idea of using a ladder lock sounds more flexible than sewing, and easier for those of us who are not so good at stitching. :) I think I see what the problem is though: Wisport uses a type of nylon webbing that isn't as rough as most similar products, so there's not as much friction to hold the straps at the tension points.
      I ended up not going with this pack, opting instead for the Wisport Zipperfox 40, which doesn't have the FAS system. It has the SAS Ergonomic system, which isn't as adjustable...but also not prone to the slippage you mentioned. It's winter here and I haven't been out much so I haven't been able to test it in the field, but I like the pack's easy access and versatility. I'm a little concerned it sits lower on my back that a pack with the FAS system would sit, but I won't know if that's a legit problem until I put some miles on it with a full load.

I'm on a budget, so the price on the wisport's are quite attractive, though I don't wanna buy it if it is not worth the money, instead of saving up for a "higher end" pack such as eberlestock, tasmanian tiger and so on.

    Just a minor thing.. I am annoyed a little bit when reviewers say they're not sure if a part will last, when they give no evidence of it breaking. If you're not sure a zipper will hold up, maybe don't mention it until you've seen it break? You could be advising someone of an issue that doesn't exist. Great video review otherwise. I like this pack. :-)

    • @Hunt2Eat
      @Hunt2Eat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sir, thank you for your feedback, and the nice words.
      I always give my honest opinion regarding the quality of zippers, buckles and the material, instead of just doing a sales talk.
      After handling and using a lot of packs and other gear, made of different quality for many years, I hope that my experience regarding the size and durability of buckles, zippers and so on gives me the knowledge to give a potential buyer my honest opinion.
      I know a lot of people don't have the option to see and feel the gear in person, but rely on these gear tests before deciding to buy a pice of gear online, and I would rather give my own opinion instead of just showing the pack.
      I normally also say if I've had the zippers, buckles or pack fail on me, or if it still holds up.
      I appreciate your feedback, and hope you will share your experiences with the pack after you've used it for some time.

      You can place a hydration system in the pack, but there is no designated pocket for it.
      As an alternative you can place it in the top pocket.
      Hope this helps.

      Wilderness Skills hello! Thankyou I appreciate that, think I'm going to get the racoon 65, are these good quality bags? What is the inside stitching like? Thanks in advance! Luke

      Luke,
      I personally think the Wisport brand is very high quality, compared to the price.
      The stitching is top of the line, both externally and internally
