The Sparrow 20 litres backpack is part of Wisport's line of the latest generation of survival backpacks, is made of extremely durable Cordura Nylon and developed in collaboration with the Polish Military forces.
The main advantage of the Sparrow 20 backpack are ergonomically shaped padded shoulder straps with quick-release chest strap, two spacious independent chambers secured with durable Wisport branded zippers and multiple MOLLE attachments points.
The main compartment of the Sparrow 20 rucksack comes with a sleeve pocket on the backside and a large zipped mesh pocket on the front side. Additionally, above the sleeve pocket are: hook for attachment of hydration bag and a passage hole for hydration hose or antenna. The passage hole itself is protected against water trickling down the hose.
The back compartment has a small sleeve pocket and zipped mesh organizer and a two 20cm (8") nylon straps, one with D-ring and one with UTX carabineer.
Quick-release Duraflex buckles allow the backpack to be quickly dropped on the ground when required.
The front and side compression straps let the backpack to be adapted to the size of the carried kit and prevent it from shifting inside the bag, which may cause unnecessary noise, discomfort and disturbance to the balance.
The front of the backpack, bottom and side panels has a multiple MOLLE strap attachments points, which allow for mounting various MOLLE accessories i.e. backpack bags, first aid kits and pouches.
Moreover multiple nylon straps permit the outside fixation of much bigger items that will not fit inside, or because they need to remain on hand. Thanks to this the overall capacity of the rucksack may be significantly greater than nominal 20 litres.

Air Comfort System (ACS):
This suspension system was designed for packs up to 30 litres and provides enhanced rigidity and easy airflow between the back of the user and the pack.
The rigidity is provided by polyethylene sheet that acts as the frame of the backpack. Increased comfort is provided by polyurethane cushions that form ventilation channels that enhance air circulation.
All elements of the suspension system that come in contact with the body are covered with AIR NET, which improves airflow.
Cons:
The shoulder straps can not be adjusted. However, this is a minor thing, since the capacity of Sparrow is only 20 liters.
The small flap covering the access to the hose for drinking system can unfasten itself when moving the daypack around.
Pros:
The support system is well padded and shaped. The pack is comfortable to wear on your back / shoulders even with heavy gear.
Zippers are dimensioned for their purpose
Ample space for 3 liters drinking system with one outlet
Lots of straps and buckles so you can adjust, optimize and configure your backpack as you want.
Sparrow 20 can be attached to other models of bigger backpacks from Wisport.
Good quality of buckles, fabric, webbing and stitching.
Mega long kompressionstraps (and straps in general). So there is plenty of opportunity to mount additional gear.
Fine with PALS webbing on backpack, making it easy to mount MOLLE compatible pouches.
A very good backpack I can easily recommend.
I don't often comment on TH-cam, but I really liked your review. Clearly presented, Factual and to the point without dragging things out. The best thing was that you covered some things that most reviews leave out... like demonstrating how big it looks when worn, and you also showed how much could fit in the pack by using standardised cubes like most people might already have. I'm currently trying to decide between the new 2016 version of the 20L and 30L version on this pack, I'm going to check and see if you have any reviews for these. Keep up the good work!

Hi Claude i hope you are doing well , using the women old style steel hair pins are awesome for tying the loose straps
¿is there space for a 15 inch notebook?
Depending on what brand you use, there should be room for a 15in laptop. My 15" macbook can easily be carried here.
The dimensions of the main tool is 40x30 cm, but if you are in doubt if your laptop can be inside, you could try it out in the store.

Hi! Thanks a lot for the video! I was wondering if this bag would be recommended for daily use with a 15.6" laptop. I know this bag will at least protect my laptop from the occasional wet Dutch weather, but do you think it is padded enough to protect my laptop?

It's a great small daypack for almost any use. The padding towards your back would protect your laptop well enough, but be aware that there is no padding in the bottom or away from your back. You might invest in a padded sleeve to be sure. :-)
Also double check the actual size of your laptop compared to the size of the pack :-)

I saw all your reviews on the wisport backpacks I congratulate you because you are very detailed in reviewing not many people are so however I would like to know your opinion since i did not see you reviewing the sparrow 30 and i would like to know why not if you do not mind please and thank you that is and if you happen to know why is the coyote color even though it is a solid color like the other solid colored ones is more expensive . thank you and wish you all the best

One of the reasons that I don't review all packs, is that I pay for a lot of the equipment myself, and the testing takes a lot of time.
I cannot say why the coyote is more expensive than other solid colours, other than it's probably a question about demand on that color.

I have the 30L version. Do you know what the 2 straps in the middle compartment do? They are the ones that hang down from the top in the inside.

as I see it, the two straps are for attaching stuff. Like your keys or gloves, and you can just pull the strap to get access to your item.

hello, you said the wz93 are made of 1000D? i dont see this wz93 for sell, is the PL Woodland? and why its 1000D and others 500 for the same price? thanks

I got the answer from the manufacturer, and I guess it's because it's made for the Polish military as the WZ93 is the PL Woodland. I cannot say if or why the price is the same.

hello, it is comfortable the sparrow 20? carrying about 8 kg ,,,,,,,, I have the sparrow 30 and with 12 kg I find it uncomfortable, very tight back and down

Thank you for your question. Depending what the 8 kg consists of, I would think that would be an ok amount to carry in the Sparrow 20. I think that's around the weight I've normally carried, when I used the pack, and I had no problems. I would think around 10 kg would be the maximum weight for the sparrow 20.
