I literally dream of one day having a backyard like yours. Shame it will probably just remain a dream….you are blessed but seem to know it and appreciate it. Great channel!!!
Your catch, clean, & cook blue crab videos literally taught me everything I needed to get started. Now, I’m throwing 20 down at a time on the grill and our family LOVES it. Next, I’m going after the mangroves you did a wonderful informational video on. I’m not far from the pass. You’re awesome man, and the fishing community benefits so much from your tips and knowledge.
Hard to beat them grilled blue crabs, many will say otherwise, but I say dont knock it til you try it for sure!! Glad to hear!! Thank you!!!!! Tight lines
I live in the Midwest and can’t fish in saltwater, but I do fish in freshwater. Watching these videos makes me want to fish in the ocean, and your are the only saltwater channel I enjoy watching. God bless you, and may good luck come your way
That’s an awesome view and amazing fish right in your backyard looks like a great place to just throw some light tackle and relax with the family and everything keep up the fun man if I can’t go fishing I love seeing other ppl fish!
Spent a lot of my childhood in Bear Point and moved back to OB a few years ago. Always been a deep sea fisherman but your vids have given me a passion for inshore fishing. Couldn’t do it without you help. Great informative videos.
God has Blessed you very much...however, you are very lucky...to have such a wonderful home...& you get to fish & go crabbing....what a wonderful site. Thank you for explaining what you are using to fish & explaining how to use it. As a family of 7 kids you Instructional video's are great for our 4 boys...you became their Hero. Thank you & God Bless You.
Hey buddy! I love all your videos! I’m located in Pensacola and If you ever want any drone shots for your videos we would be happy to swing by! Hope you see this!
Some very nice black drum. They are always fun to catch! Bought some of your pomp rigs while I was down in April. Wound up offshore and haven't tried them. Same this month. Great videos, thanks for posting!
Dude you make it look so easy!!!!!!!! I don’t nearly have as much gear and equipment and you so I don’t catch much but thanks to these videos it’s like if I’m next to you… thanks alot at least I get to see this in some form keep posting videos I love em
Good vid! I've no problem going for big uglys just to release, fine fighters. Make good trap bait too. Gonna have to try a 12-14" sometime, just not in any hurry to do so. Went to a park I used to be at daily when I lived a handful of blocks away from it, been better than a month since I'd been there. As I was helping out a guy to learn how to throw a 'ring castnet' I looked down over the sea wall and there was a big ugly just looking around for some crabs. Was atleast as big as those you got. Watched for about two minutes, wasn't concerned with us at all. I spooked him when I looked at the guy and he was getting ready to throw on it, my arm motions stopping him spooked the black and he shot out of there-they can move. Those barges and tugs displace a lot of water, they push a lot of water, and their props make a giant hole behind them. As a kid in a canoe on the Mississippi it could get worrisome when a 10-12 section long, 4 wide, 2-3 tugs pushing, going up river went through. I've yet to see a wave on the gulf as huge as those wakes could be.
Speaking of dispatching fish, when I was fishing in St. Croix, the fishing guides kept a bottle of rum (Cruzon brand, what else?) and would pour rum into the gills of the fish. The alcohol provided a quick and merciful death.
Looking for advice!! We love your videos & are coming to Orange Beach from Wyoming. Do you know somewhere we can RENT poles? We cant really fly with them.
That push boat carries many types of oils and pertolium to ports and refineries each barge carries 30,000 barrels I used to work in that industry out of Houston, TX. The farthest I've been is to Decatur, Al.
Hey man i work on the boats that push those barges ans we push anything from oil and gas to benzene and etc. looks to me like that was a chemical barge so likely benzene.
@@bear7826 Thanks , yeah, I've had these reels a longggg time (even before I joined the Army). They're nice and they hold up to some abuse but they are definitely $. I sold lots of my other rods/reels for one when I was younger
once went out for giant reds in the bay when I was like 9, theres a picture of me with a fish bigger than me, was an awesome day. we also used crabs for bait, me, my brother, and my dad caught like 4 or 5 that day.
Awesome catch and enjoy your videos. I've got a question about the Gulf state Park pier. When purchasing your AL license, does the pier pass allow you piers access to the pier without paying the fee? Reason I ask, one pier employee let me on without pier fee then the next day another employee got belligerent and said that piers pass wasn't the same fee. It plainly states in the region book that it is for pier access when purchasing this option on your fishing license. Please enlighten me since you fish the G.S.P.P. alot. Thank yu

That bead is a good thing to keep
the sinkers from rubbing on the

shot at times too

Great video...great fish..you rock love gulf shores area..
3:50 I would use a cordless drill and predrill a say 1/32 hole for the hook, or what ever size the hook is and a tad smaller, 1/8. 1/16
Another great video from the best!
That hangout fest was a pain for traffic,
Just bought a couple of your rigs. Look forward to using them!
I really enjoy this video
Down at Orange beach now 5/23 and the wind rain and sea weeds have been terrible.
You’re dog is so cute btw
Beautiful reel
We call them "Big Uglies" over here in Texas! They're beasts to land though! Wish I was on the water now instead of at my workdesk!
Yup! We do too haha. They're very exciting and "stress free" to catch in a sense

What kind of rig are you using?
I've caught more saltwater fish tossing bait on a fish finder rig ithan any other way. Simple but very effective! Great fish and video!
Fully agree, simple is best.
Do you still have a promo code for the Sord knives. I'm wanting 9 inch medium flex and 9 inch serrated.
Do you find worms in the larger black drum like that?
that's awesome brother nice drum!!! got lots of them down here to in south Texas!!! what reel is that by the way look cool

Awesme catch from your "front yard"
Nice drum!
Where are you fishing from? I assume you're in Mobile Bay somewhere, yes? Are you in Fairhope, Daphne,...etc?
Those fishes are big ✌️
Hey do you think you'll ever get the dock rebuilt dock out there? Probably pointless just to have a hurricane destroy it but that would be nice!
If I had the $, they're very expensive

Mbn to step behind your house and do this kind of fishing. Just wondering, what kind of fish is in that water?
Reds, black drum, trout , croaker and tons of catfish lol
