I am leaving here in Canada from last 13 years , I have lived Toronto, Edmonton, GTA almost I have experience everything, brought the house , sold it , brought another house , labourer job , high profile job , started family, kids upbringing, called family members from India- but but I have to say that Canada 🇨🇦 sucks in all perspective and india is the BEST and finally moving to india permanently with two kids and can’t tell you my happiness level 🙌
Best decision . I plan to take back my kids soon back from here. Our culture is totally different . We don’t see druggies on streets the way I see in Canada . Montreal ,Vancouver , Toronto all full of such people. It leaves a very bad impact as everything is legal here. Parents ,please stop sending your kids here. Tell them to do well in india

A confused view point. In hindi it is said "Chadder dekh kar par falayo". Essentially, you have to buy an accomodation based on your income. Further, you are looking for an accomodation among the higher income people. Obviously it will cost more. As a beginner one should always start with a condo and gradually move to a house.
Note that a person first looks for a job and then finds an accomodation close to the place of work. Usually people do not buy a house and then start looking for a job near it.
Seems like both of you are truck drivers, In that case you have greater level of flexibility in choosing an accomodation. Note that not all immigrants are truck drivers.
Finally recession affects all countries. Real estate prices have dropped significantly in India over the last 4 to 5 years. Even then, you would not be able to buy a reasonable 2BHK home in a posh locality for INR 50 lakhs. You can buy a house for 50 lakhs only in a village. Hence you are comparing apples with oranges and confusing the people who are ignorant about facts.
