Yes, if you do a quest at a place you've already looted the POI completely resets. Also handy to go through the POI before doing the quest, then accept it and go through it again.
All locked containers can be broken into by chopping away, plus all of the good loot is always at the top of every poi building. The fastest way is to make a lot of wood blocks and nerd pole up to the top. For more tips and tricks, watch all of Neebs gaming 7 days to die

The multiplayer is fun, but it takes a moment to find a server to your liking I've found - they can be quite varied and the server browser is trash when trying a number of conditionally specific settings.
Use a wrench for signs, vending machines, and vehicles. Oh, and you got the snowball from that ice machine

Vitamins also prevent dysentery which you can get from sham sandwiches. Pop vitamins and you can eat them safely, except you lose 5 HP per sandwich.
