I absolutely adore Dinner is not over Yet, like there's plenty of "please don't commit suicide" songs but this one is like... it just hits different, saying "yeah, you could and I know it feels much better, but that's later, you can die later, first we get through life, first we finish this" with that childlike metaphor that you have to finish all your dinner before you get dessert
A lot of Jacks micro songs actually have full versions (just without the animations), like tea errors and dinner is not over, you should really check them out

Actually, the extended version of "dinner is not over" is one of my absolute favorites! The whole song (in case you weren't clued in already) is about suicidal tendencies and overcoming them. Describe how the singer feels they've tried everything to find happiness but nothing tastes good, well nothing except... "I've tasted dying and it tasted good!" However that isn't the conclusion of the song, "But that's dessert, you can have it when the dinner is done." Is blunt but probably the truest way I've ever seen someone try to explain what it's like to put off suicidal thoughts. Death might be sweet but if you skip over life to get to it sooner it won't be satisfying... "So put it down." Which contextualizes the imagery of a lollipop noose or popsicle gravestone... It's been a while since I've watched your other Jack videos but if you're looking for more traditional songs I'd suggest Cupid and Dog Nightmare for very different reasons haha. Also Leopard if you want to experience whiplash eight times in a row!
Dinner is not over is my favorite song by jack. It soothes one’s fears of death by saying it will be a good experience while also telling the listener to wait for their life to be over before embracing death instead of rushing into it with suicide.

I'm not sure if anyone else has commented this yet, but Dinner is Not Over is one of my favourite songs (it was extended into a full song by the way!). It's basically anti-suicide, and it's always been the most uplifting songs when I'm in a bad place. Instead of saying "don't die, its bad!" which just feels condescending, it feels much more understanding. Saying death is like dessert, saying I know it's tempting and I understand how much you want it, but you're just gonna have to get through dinner first. It feels like someone gets it, and we've all had to finish dinner before getting dessert, it makes life seem so much more manageable when everything seems bleak and overwhelming. I've always loved morbid art - maybe that's why I love this song and Jack Stauber so much - but even then, although Dinner is Not Over seems very dark, it has a really positive message in it.

It’s bothering me that you’re not understanding that his music isn’t just a weird creepy song, most of them have an actual message to it rather it be a silly message or an actual deep meaning. Take cooking with Abigail, it’s about a young girl who has her own little TV show but she eventually starts to not like because she’s just losing her passion for cooking and because of all the creepy old men were sexualizing her and sending her all this “fan mail” about how they love her but the cooking show is the only way she can make money which is why the vegetables in the seasoning keep telling her to keep going otherwise she’ll rot. And if you still probably don’t agree with this I would love if you react to one of his short films called Opal it is one of his best works in my opinion and I highly recommend it if you want something satyr more meaningful to watch. I really want Matthew to listen to Vundabar! I think the girl in the song “Tea Errors” might’ve been named Tea Error? It sounds weird but I wouldn’t put it past Jack, and in the full version of the song he sings about running to Tea Errors.
I have a few jack songs to suggest to you! Leopard is very good and odd sounding Inchman (the full version not the micropop) is one of my favorite songs by him and lastly Pad Thai because he has some really cool glitch-esc sounds in it that is honestly awesome! Really hope you listen to him more!

I have a few songs (accompanied by animations) to reccomend that has a bit of a jack stauber vibe to it but really is heavily different from jack stauber if you get what I mean- Lyrith Aleph-0 Armageddon Calamity Fortune but if you want more creepy and definitely horror inducing nightmares then I reccomend; Marenol もぺもぺ All made by the same people (Optie Animation for well, the animations, and leaF for the songs). Though the songs are more focused on a faster pace and eventhough it doesn't really have that much vocals to it like Vocaloid, it is still *REALLY* amazing to listen to! Don't forgot to take of yourself, stay hydrated 🍞✨

Take cooking with Abigail, it’s about a young girl who has her own little TV show but she eventually starts to not like because she’s just losing her passion for cooking and because of all the creepy old men were sexualizing her and sending her all this “fan mail” about how they love her but the cooking show is the only way she can make money which is why the vegetables in the seasoning keep telling her to keep going otherwise she’ll rot. And if you still probably don’t agree with this I would love if you react to one of his short films called Opal it is one of his best works in my opinion and I highly recommend it if you want something satyr more meaningful to watch. I think the girl in the song “Tea Errors” might’ve been named Tea Error? It sounds weird but I wouldn’t put it past Jack, and in the full version of the song he sings about running to Tea Errors.
