I love how Jack's vocals are purposely imperfect because most artists think they have to be pitch perfect in everything they do, so it's refreshing to hear an artist that doesn't do that every now and then
Jack Is really really talented and he's done lots of different genres already. He had a rock band called Joose, he has a full freak folk album and a bunch of other cool stuff. Also, do you plan on reacting to some of his animations too? I think that It'd be really interesting
HOLY SHIT! Jack stauber? What an unexpected but welcome surprise. Honestly, not a lot of people react to him so I’m glad you’re here. Obv I haven’t watched the video yet but I know you’re gonna love him ❤ Edit: okay. First off, I’m like 99% sure that Oh klahoma is about abuse. Second, jack makes disturbing, surreal, deep animations that are cool as fuck that you should watch. And lastly, I feel like jack stauber fans overlap with the will wood audience and It’d be cool if you could react to him. He’s a lyrical genius and literally all of his songs are masterpieces. I/Me/Myself, love me normally, and against the kitchen floor are all bangers
OMG! Justins reaction to Buttercup when he recognised it was SO funny! I forget that so many people dont actually know that Jack made this song, even though it's been used in so many videos and tiktok's. Though, I listened to more of his micropop stuff when I first listened to him, seeing it being recommended from a Lemon Demon mv, who, by the way, is another funky artist I recommend reacting to if you haven't already.
If u like the panning chord at the end of buttercup, u may wanna check out jack's song windrag, the entire song is based on those panning chords and its very chilled out
What a coincidence, I'm wearing Jack Stauber merch right now! Also, glad you mentioned folk, he has a full album called Viator, which is a freak folk album (freak folk is a subgenre of psychedelic folk), and every album of his has at least 1 folk/acoustic song. I'd recommend the song Lake if you want to hear him in a folk setting. I'd also recommend his songs Koi Boy (which has a music video) and Gettin' My Mom On (which also has a music video). Also, Very excited for King Gizzard, they do basically every popular genre you can think of, so I'm super excited for you to hear them!
HELL YEAHHH, I didn't expect this video, but I was very excited to see it in my recommended!! I loved hearing your thoughts - totally agree on how unique his music is and how interesting it would be to hear how it's all made - both the music and all the animations accompanying it - it's just very cool. Thank you for the reaction!! :)
That buttercup song is an insane song to produce. Jack really put a lot of genius into it how he layered up soo many different instruments and sounds to harmonize into such a catchy beat. The song itself is already really really good, but Jack add in freaking vocals and lyrics and it came out even more better than it already was. Geezus Christ. Final product is freaking amazing...
Oh Klahoma probably seems familiar because on tik tok, every October during spooky season, everyone does the ghost or pumpkin photo shoots. (Where they dress up as ghosts or put on pumpkins on their head)
I’m not a good person to speak on this but I know a theme in his music and videos, which you should check out because that’s where he puts out his full scale of expression on, all have this thing I forgot the name of but it’s basically something that sounds nostalgic that isn’t nostalgic to you at all, you’ve never heard it, but you’ve heard it at the same time. This is my guess, so don’t take it as what he is going for, but everything he makes has a deep emotional and mental lesson to take from it. I think he tries to give it that nostalgic or vintage vibe, because everything he is expressing is something that everyone has heard, but you’re hearing it in a way that you’ve never heard it before, giving you a different perspective. Idk that’s just my guess but you can take whatever you want from it.
I’m converting my friends into jack stauber fans, they know quite a few of his amazing songs now, they need to learn the opal soundtrack now. (MY FAV SONG IN THE OPAL SOUNDTRACK IS MIRROR MAN)
No idea if this has been said before but you mentioned how you'd like to hear his voice in other contexts, namely folk? He has an album called Viator which is all folk music.
u should DEFINITELY listen to cavetown soon, i was very excited to spot him on ur list already :D hes one of my favorite artists ever and i think u would love his music a lot !!
in case no one has suggested it, and it's going to be different, anything igorrr, I would recomend starting with Very Noise, Chevale, and for a third music video either Downgrade Desert, or Opus Brain, as many people I've seen have started with ieuD, and haven't enjoyed it, but have enjoyed other videos. also if you listen to any of the igorrr songs I listed, and enjoy them, (Very Noise specifically) I would also suggest Ruby My Dear, as they have a similar style, and have collabed with each other for an album.
Can't wait for the Gorillaz reaction! Them, Lovejoy and Jack are strangely some of the best artists imo so I'm sure you'll love what they have to offer. Love your videos :))
If you ever do anymore Jack Stauber songs, may I recommend Inchman and New Normal? Inchman is a much more silly song, and also has a music video (but it unfortunately cuts out a lot). New Normal is much more impactful and has some cursed visuals but is SUPER amazing.
I cannot stress how much I love Sleep Token. My biggest regret this year is not recording my first listen of Take Me Back To Eden on the channel. It's so good and I'm obsessed
I’ll be honest, this is my first time listening to Jack Stauber, and I honestly didn’t like it. Music wise, I liked it, but his voice was a little bit too strange for me. I might try listening to more but idk
Honestly, that's understandable. He has a very strange style of singing for quite a few of his songs. I personally enjoy it, but i understand it being too weird or silly for other people.
I love how Jack's vocals are purposely imperfect because most artists think they have to be pitch perfect in everything they do, so it's refreshing to hear an artist that doesn't do that every now and then
Brendon Uries latest album attempting this and just sounding like shit...
Yeah and it doesn't even sound bad since it's purposeful
if you wanna do more Jack i recommend his micropop stuff next!
Then check out his finite form album!
Mabby opal if he’s up for it
@@AJL11439 hell yeah!
@@T0mPlayesopal has bangers
I love the mood change from loving how the music sounds to disbelief at 2:37
😊 to 😨
Listening to these on edibles while wearing pajames fresh out of the dryer and laying in bed during a rainstorm just hits different at 3am.
so real

I know I'm about a month late but he was also in another band called Zaki, which is more similar to his solo work, though it's still rock.
@@pizzarella_yt yeah, I forgot to mention Zaki lol
@@Enzo_EmanuelBr Ah, I see
