our budgie was so weird with food, never interested in fruit but loved vegetables and would always want to try what we were eating! tomato sauces were her favourite
Fruit isn’t naturally found in their environment. When I tried, my budgies wouldn’t eat the fruit either. We were told not to feed them fruit.

a quick advice . try keeping some newspaper or any old paper below so its easy to clean it and the floor doesnt have stains left on it (under the cage btw)

Meanwhile my budgie was always disgusted by flies, ants, worms and spiders lol. All he ever wanted was custard and ice cream.
My budgies dont eat any kind of insect.I tried to feed them mealworms too, but they did not even look at it. For proteins i give them a boiled egg once a week. They love it.

I use coco coir for the tray catching materisal. It all disappears and is really easy to change. Coco coir is chemically inert as well. Like plastic.

Haha yes! We vacuum daily and have a small dog that crawls under the cage eats any seed carrot pieces and all food that fall out of the cages..
I have only 2 budgies 💕and thankfully I can work from home. I clean their area and basic clean up of their cages 2x a day. I couldn’t imagine holding off for 1 week, let alone for 16 budgies. 😮🤯🤪👍🏼

I would wear a mask when cleaning up after so many. Bird droppings can carry a disease that affects the lungs.

How do you put them back?
I tried feeding my budgie crickets and beetles a couple times. However, I stopped when I read that feeding a budgie insects gives them extra protein, which makes them more aggressive.

Escape?!? Like someone flew out the door????? If he just escaped today, you can sim have a good chance of possibly finding him. I’d never give up right away. Some people will out the whole cage, with the female, outside. She might start chirping and he’d fly back or come for food

I did that last week. But in the beginning, I had the New Birds separate in a different room for about 2 Weeks to be sure they don't bring deseases. After that I placed the New birds in their cage besides the open cage of the older birds(which fly free 24/7) for a few days so they get to know each other. Only After that I opened the cage so the New birds can get out. And it went great. No arguing between them.

Hello everyone i wanna ask something can i take my untamed budgie out of it's cage?(his name is Pikachu) he's with me for 1 month he knows who i am and he eat with my hand but still he's scared i have 6 budgies and i wanna spend time with one one of them for a day cause he's the only one who steps on my hand if i have food and he's so playful i want him to play with me out of his cage cause his partner(sky) distract him and whenever i try to interact with him it feels like he tell him not to play with me and perhaps if i let him out we can spend time together...so help me cause i am so confused what to do
They are mate oriented so they will chose their partner over you rather often this is normal.
Make perches for him outside the cage and let him see them, and he will go to them and will love them. Leave food and treats in the cage so he will go back to it.
Work on step up training as well of course.

I am trying hard to build trust and tame them now Pikachu sits on my hand and try to sit on my shoulder but i am afraid to let him out of cage so i use my hand not to let him go outside you know after when he sit on my hand he become like i am nothing to him when i put my finger near him he just run away i am so confused why he always run from me but also play with me sometimes he chew my finger (lightly)
I have two and they aren’t hand tamed but they aren’t particularly scared of me and obviously know who I am. I actually open my kids door when I’m home and they eventually come out and fly. They tend to stay on top of the cage though and I live alone so I don’t have to worry about someone coming in and then escaping. They don’t always come out. I just like to give them the choice. When you first do it, though, I said just been in a room without a lotta objects because this is not the greatest flyers they may fly into a window or behind the couch or some thing and it’s hard to get them

@@alenaxphaha! That's awesome! And same! My brother and I used to play both the first and second AVP ALL the time back when we were kids. Absolutely the best Alien based games, after alien isolation... The movie was awesome, too! Definitely not perfect and kind of silly at times...but thoroughly enjoyable/fun.. Though, that definitely CANNOT be said about AVP; Requiem... I truly believe that is one of the single worst movies in existence. Total insult to the franchise..

I have a question and maybe you can help me clarify it. My budgies, which I got in 2020 do not exhibit the traits of grown ups. One of them has a cere that is almost white with barely noticeable shade of blue for years now. And the other has a bit of light, almost beige color on her cere. Both colors are very very very light, not as intensive as other budgies in your video have them. Both babies are born in june 2019 and they were a bit sicklish when I got them. That is why I got them actually. They do molting, they seem happy, eating well, playing well, listening their favorite radio station 12/7. At first vet had some doubts of the sex so we had to change their names several times and I settled on sweethearts for now. But yes, their specific sex markings are not prominent. Did you by any chance have a similar case or heard of similar case? Thanks in advance.
P.S as for cleaning, I feel you. I have only two and they have their spots for sitting and playing and I put a bunch of newspapers and kitchen rolls around which I discard later. i have fitness matts on the floors so their droppings never goes directly on my laminate but on the mats that are easily cleaned.

You should not give them 🐛worms. Because they are vegan in nature.. You can use black chana.. And green moong dal for protien
Actually, parakeets are omnivores in the wild. They live in Australia and east grass seed, leaves, insects etc.
