the "Power dock", the 5KW and 2x50A breaker capable is like...wow. You can now power a soft start 120V AC and an AC hot water tank (not at the same time but still). Incredible, you're basically all set for van life needs with this new model....
I have the original 15k version with 4800watt solar hooked up. We boondock 24/7, this is our base. We also have 2 Ultra that we keep charged by the Powerkit. Have other EcoFlow products, can’t say enough good things about them
@@charlesklaus6290 I would like to see how this compares to the Anker X-1….in different layout styles. And if anyone has tried laying it on its side(if possible) and using a racking system to hold everything in place. With additional vibration Mounts to help.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Being an rv tech this was some great info! I've been installing GO POWER solar kits and expansions (extra panels) and was wondering why they are only using PWM controllers and also this is the only kits we will put on. 60v max input. I hope this dock allows for more battery expansion and compatibility as well. Thanks!
Yeah I love once the full updates come out to find out if you can use Delta pro 3's as full batteries for the system My dream system is one 5 kW battery from power kit to leave in the RV and then like two or three Delta pro 3 that you can move and use outside of the system when you're not traveling
Very cool product and exactly what I was hoping for. Except the 60V solar input limit. That makes it almost unusable. I don’t care about this certification, hope they will add an option like „I accept and understand that I lose this certification if I unlock full solar input voltage. Continue anyway.“
Wondering if that new expansion hub that you showed will work with the delta pro 3 somehow to add 2 batteries and the generator 4000 and the 800w alternator charger all at once?
No it doesn’t work unfortunately…..yet. I told them hey update the firmware and allow this to work across the board. It would open doors like crazy! So will see
@johnnysweekends thanks for the reply. Would love that hub to work in the future. I'm battling between dp ultra and dp3 for a covered truck bed system to power 30amp rv when parked.
when you are plugged into shore power and it's on bypass, are you limited to the incoming amps? example, if I'm hooked to my house and limit amps to 15, will it cut off at 15 amps, or will the batteries assist to be able to use the full 5000 watts?
yes, also curious to know. Victron does that "oversurge" thing where it pulls juice from the batts to compensate the Amps to AC circuit, think it's 50A max.
They should make a 48v split AC as the Treeligo style split AC’s are pretty popular on ebay… lots of Truckers & RV folks have been buying them and installing them for 700 bucks.
I am more in the pecron affordability range. I gotta give props to Delta they are in a class by themselves. If you got the cash go for it! I use Pecron because I think they are one of the best bangs for your buck. However if you are in that situation where money is not an issue Delta is a no brainier. Just an opinion sorry but nobody can touch these guys. Their innovation is off the charts.
Agree! The Pecron line is also in a class of there own. You get a lot for a more than reasonable price. But like you said , Ecoflow is off the charts are what they have created and are creating, it’s crazy! And this kit is nuts.
Power kit 1 still the champ and I'm glad I have 2 of them. I got one for a spare as I live off grid and never want to be without power. I felt bad when I hear the new power kit 2 came out... BUT 1st, Power kit one was labeled as 60v PV charging and 3600w output. WRONG! It can do 150v as I have 3 strings of 4 x 405w Canadian solar panels 37v each thus 148v and works great for over a year that I had the Power kit. Next I have used up to 3800w Power kit 1 put out 3800w! I assume it could do 4000w as max? Not much difference from 5000w for me So the clincher is the 60v hard stop! That means figuring out how to parallel and series connect panels to get as close to 60v. I'll stick with what I got. Works great, customer support from Ecoflow is getting better, and the firmware updates are actually working, lol.
I thought awhile back you mentioned that anything not accepting over 60v solar input was too limiting in your array layout choices. Is there a difference now?
Nope still the same. A little different for rv verses honestly only because most people can’t max one input depending on the size of rv. Most do about 600-1000. But more and more are getting pretty elaborate on solar setups on rvs. Was I happy with the 60v? Not at all. But the common person never fully loads one input and since there are 3 then you have a great set up for 2 solar inputs and one alternator charging. Or an open slot for a deployed solar setup. But I would prefer more than 60v personally
One image you show has "48V 100A Smart Alternator". Is this something EcoFlow will be offering? I have original PowerKit and would love to utilize a 2nd generator to charge it.
Most people are not using these for level 3 charging. I do t know why anyone would. Level 2 and down no problem but it’s more for everyday essentials and emergency power

That whole system looks awesome...simpler and way less space! Keep us updated and thanks!

Best and most innovative company on the market

@ScoutTactical as a person with 30 amp Rv myself and cover truck bed also i would do the DP3. I own the DPU and it is NOT EASILY MOVED HAHA.
Thank you so much I've been trying to find information on this new launch it was a little confusing
So great these kits.
PV 60V Input is a bit of a downer. Makes setting up an arrangement less flexible.
Agree I despise 60 V lol but what do you do
when you are plugged into shore power and it's on bypass, are you limited to the incoming amps? example, if I'm hooked to my house and limit amps to 15, will it cut off at 15 amps, or will the batteries assist to be able to use the full 5000 watts?

Does it still allow to chose to use it in Offgrid cabin mode instead of RV mode?

My power kit has now been really solid. Sure it took a couple updates for bugs but now it’s good!

Hi bud do we know if the power dock is going to work on the power kit version 1 and the same for the power link ?
Yess!!! Already tried it and they said it will as well but a few updates will be coming
That’s good news thanks have we got an availability date yet ?
@mg-construction-solar I think late October early November.
I need that power dock for my D2M and Wave2, I need 6kWhs of storage and also want to run the Wave2 directly off DC🤞🤞🤞
One image you show has "48V 100A Smart Alternator". Is this something EcoFlow will be offering? I have original PowerKit and would love to utilize a 2nd generator to charge it.
You can already. You can buy a 48v alternator but they are not cheap
What happens if you plug the powerdock into the DP3 or original DP?
Nothing, it’s not compatible. …………yet! Let’s hope as I have been asking 🤞🏼
@@johnnysweekends being able to use more than 2 batteries or getting a direct 48v output from the delta pro 3 would be amazing
Thanks 👍👍👍
😀👍🏼
I think it’s a great excuse for you to get a Class A. Put all that in there and max it out. 😊
lol right! I want one but my driveway can’t handle the weight 😂
Not practical for city life without Level 3 EV charging.
Most people are not using these for level 3 charging. I do t know why anyone would.
Level 2 and down no problem but it’s more for everyday essentials and emergency power
