- #deanjonesthetowablesguy is walking around a 2024 #27North RexRover CC350 4X4 Expedition Truck - 5N231583. This 4X4 Adventure Truck is built on the Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat Chassis Power by a Ford Power Stroke. The Truck has also been upgraded with an off-road adjustable Icon Suspension. The rugged offroad camper shell is Kevlar-coated and scratch-resistant. The interior gives you comfort no matter where you are with a king-size bed, passthrough into the cab, bathroom with toilet and shower, kitchen with induction cooktop, microwave, sink, and domestic refrigerator; the living space also has a convertible booth dinette; television, air conditioner and plenty of storage compartments. Thanks for showing this nice rig but unfortunately the only thing I can afford with this thing is to watch this video.
It’s the maintenance on this thing that scares me, and as it goes anywhere, you’re looking at an easy $3000+ expense to get it towed to the shop. And given Fords history of fighting claims for their RV chassis’s you could be looking at major expenses to get transmission, 4x4 or engine issues repaired. (They commonly claim the RV manufacturer exceeded their specs, overweight or that they changed something voiding the warranty. Been there, done that, never again.

This is EXACTLY what I want to survive what is coming. You will want to have a home on wheels and one that can thrive off road.
And you're going to fuel it with nitrogen when the tank of fuel runs out is that correct? . . .

P.S. Apparently, this is a car from NASA, because even the shelves in them either do not close normally or the stop does not work so that the lid does not fall! I am already delighted with the incredible quality for the cosmic price!

Leaf spring suspension...I would prefer spring coil or air suspension for more cozy smooth ride during outdoor adventure.
Thats a lovely setup. They need to rethink the cupboard door latches though. You had such trouble with them! They look like the’ll rip your finger off trying to operate them. Arthritis. Long nails. ‘Old hands’ as my mum calls them. They didn’t seem enormously user friendly.
The factory in Korea has two models one with the door at the rear also ,I think I prefer it a as it had more storage.

It’s probably made by Earth Roamer and those things are very expensive so you could buy a house with what they want for one of these. This is good for rich people. Very rich.
After the build out and suspension upgrades, has Transwest had the GVWR, GVAR (front and back axles) and Payload re-certified by Ford and if so what are those 4 numbers?

It would be good to see a Liquid Springs option on the F350, yes more expensive but a far superior suspension system for overland adventures, on and off road comfort and stability.
This is offered as an upgrade option!

"Nice little", Dean's favorite descriptor, sums it up. Too much space is dedicated to the electronics guts and oversized circuit breakers, takes away from customer storage space. The reason i go off road deep is so i can get my mountain bikes or motorcycles even further to the rare scenery. These rigs fit a jeep glamping vibe so not for me.
I’m curious how strong that shell is…. You’ll definitely hit it on tree branches on many of our Colorado trails. Cool camper tho!
I think he mentions around 4:57 that the coach is fabricated from carbon kevlar. Thats bullet proof vest material. With the spray on textured rhino liner material, it should be super tough (and light I bet). It seems to be that will hold up to heavy snows, tree branches and flexing with ease. Way more durable than paint and if you do manage to scratch it, it adds to the charm of this tough looking beast (in my opinion).
@@homestoryvisuals- That doesn’t mean that a branch isn’t going to dent the shell, LOL! It does however mean that it will cost a ton to properly repair. And yes… I am not familiar with the material, so it might be harder to smush or break… but the cost to repair would be scary.

400k no freaking way maybe 225k that thing is nice but you could just buy a 100k truck and nice 100k camper that you can leave that comes with slides . this rig is custom but unless you got money to piss away this is way too expensive.

Why the dinette. They are awful. 2 recliners with table so much better. Where is the generator?
One big problem. The DEF system. It is the worst system ever put on a truck. It eats through everything and causes thousands of dollars worth of damage to the exhaust system and other components. Its one more thing to worry about filling up. Its really to bad. This is a beautiful rig though and I wish I could afford it.

Know what you are looking at. Ford trucks are 5-year throwaway.
6.7 Powerstroke is expensive and when you have a problem even a minor leak. The engine has to come out the front, full disassembly. Yes it under warranty, but wait till Ford refuses your claim and you're on the hook for 30k in repairs!!!! Do your research!
