Well, I’m so glad I could find this in your files. I started on one tonight for my husband for Christmas. I’m using a fabric line called grandpa’s journal. I will send you a picture if it turns out well.
I have a question: in your videos, I see a shop that is so inviting. But I looked you up on the internet, and it says that Jordan Fabrics is only online. Could you tell us which is correct? I’m hoping you do have a brick & mortar store!
@@jordanfabrics8380 Thank you! I'd really appreciate it! And I encourage the kits to make a comeback! I've loved piecing two of your log cabin quilts, one of the log cabin runners, and a Christmas lonestar!
I want to make a king size of this quilt in Greens and earth tones. Can we buy the pattern and fabric needed separately? Or is this only available in Matt's kits? Does he have one in greens and earth tone Batik?
I just received my Kings Crown blocks kit! Can’t wait to stitch it together! It’s a real treat to sew what Matt cuts up and you teach! Thank you so much!
I’m just watching this. 2023. I have years of tutorials to watch. Matt has a blue and yellow mix that is pre cut for the kings crown. I ordered 2 kits. Can’t wait to put them together. I normally cut my own but the price was right so I splurged😊 love watching Donna put an idea together
I’m looking for a pattern with a square in the middle of the block that is cut at about 6.5” to use with fabric that I want to fussy cut. What is the cut size of the middle square in each of the blocks. I did not see anywhere to order the pattern. Does it just come with the kit? This is an oldie, but goodie for sure! But I have not made it yet. I have some Tula Pink Flannel that has adorable dogs, geese and deer (Buck, Buck, Goose!) sporting Christmas sweaters and some are wearing glasses. I think the fabric came out first in quilting cotton but then later in flannel. I think I have enough to make a good sized quilt but I want to fussy cut those center squares. Is the pattern available without ordering a kit? I love your videos and never miss one. Many of them I watch many times and I learn something every single time. I appreciate that most of your patterns do not require buying additional tools or rulers. I have more than I will ever use and do not need to purchase more. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us. I know we always learn from every one of your videos!
Can you share how much yardage is needed for each of the 3 borders as well as the backing and binding for finishing the 2 kit quilt you made in this video? I'm purchasing 2 of the new kits Matt has ready and would like to add borders, etc. Thank you!
I would love to see the pattern for this either for sale or as a free download on your website. I love the pattern, but I'm not really fond of the fabrics you have with it as precuts.
Donna, I simply love the way you cut, sew, press and get your quilts to behave for you, I have a few more problems than you have lol...I was wondering if you could make some quilts with more feminine colours. I love a lot of your choices most of the time, and I am not knocking Matt in any way, he does a really good job, but I do get tired of seeing similar dark colours used a lot. Just asking!! I really enjoy your videos.
Terri Dunning I am a novice quilter (sewed for 40 years & recently retired). I've noticed how experienced quilter's make it look so easy. Our local quilt group ladies are the same but they do still make mistakes so that does give me hope lol. My bucket list of quilts is getting longer by the day 😜😜😜
I still make mistakes - I just delete that part of the video! I do try to demonstrate how to fix quilting problems, and will try to show that more often.
Dear MrsGraphite Gal i sew appreciate you comments and your kindness to let me know that I am not alone with some wayward quilts, well not quite wayward but I definitely struggle in a few areas like keeping a correct 1/4 inch seam. I have it all marked on my sewing machine but I still struggle with it. Perhaps it is the difference between a correct 1/4 inch and a scant 1/4 that I am unsure of what to use and when. I have arthritis in my hands also and have some trouble holding my ruler in place while trimming up my squares. But I am also getting easier on myself and more accepting of what I cannot change to much...lol thank you once again.
Great video Donna. My suggestion would be attic windows. I have a center I want to use, so I will, buy a precut. I am in love with Matt's cutting and packing. Imay get buried in kits. Awwwwwww! Will the KQ Come with the borders
Attic windows is on my long list of projects to make. The King's Crown precut does not come with borders, but we always have some coordinating fabrics.
I am new to quilting but have become addicted to your tutorials. I have been watching them constantly - some over and over and learn something new each time. I taught Family and Consumer Science for 28 years to Middle School students - focus on Culinary and basic sewing skills. I never was taught some of the tricks you have shown us in your videos. Absolutely love them - your sense of color and balance is outstanding - that is my biggest weakness - I never thought of choosing dark, medium and light values for a quilt - I just selected the fabrics I liked. You are an amazing TEACHER! Do you have this kit in an Americana Theme - the Red, White and Blue fabrics. I want to make some Quilts for "Quilts of Valor" or donate some packages to the quilters. Thank you for showing the many color choices for a pattern. My newest place I want to take a bus tour is your town and shop.
Sherry Reber - It's so good to hear that sewing is still being taught in schools! In my day, we had "Home-Ec" for the girls and "Shop" for the boys. Home-Ec (Home Economics) was a 2-part course. First year (7th grade) was cooking and baking; Second year (8th grade) was sewing. Sadly, quilting was not part of the curriculum but we learned basic garment construction and other useful things to keep a household running smoothly. My introduction to quilting came from Girl Scouts. When we pieced our quilts, it was truly "piecing" - we had no rotary cutters and no tricks or secrets for making half-square triangles. We carefully cut out loads of different sized triangles and tried our hardest to make everything match - very tedious and nearly impossible! My first quilt was a peach-colored baby blanket. It was skewed every-which-way but I still feel such a sense of pride when I think about it. Even though you're no longer teaching middle-schoolers, I encourage you to share your quilting skills with young ladies. I cherish the memory of the woman who taught me! ❤
Love the batik. Would like to see a bit more variation in the colors though, like the pattern suggested. The colors are a bit too muted or dingy in the traditional one for me. Can't wait for the double wedding ring quit. xoxo from Arizona .
Hello dear friend, I love every job of yours, for 2021 I want to follow in the footsteps and make a blanket for me and my friends. God bless you and your team more and more, a hug from your Brazilian fan
Oh my! You guys did it again now I think this is my favorite! Haha your making me dizzy I absolutely love everything you make and you always make it look so easy ! But I always look forward to watching and learning from you Donna! You Rock!! 💖💖💖💖💋💋
Donna some of your quilt tutorials I have watch repeatedly . And I learn something new each time. Thanks for making these tutorials. It would be so nice if I live near by. But I could be in so much trouble if I did. I would be spending to much $. Again thanks for ALL your help in quilting 😊😁 Enjoying them.
Love your tutorials. This pattern is actually very easy, but turns out so beautifully! Wonderful choice of fabrics. You and your husband have such a good eye in putting colors and patterns together. I have saved this one. Thanks.
Love this pattern and I am sure my child would like it too. I'll be checking out the pre-cuts to see what colors are available. I love the large size one set makes, it is great for a baby or as a lap quilt.
I have perfect fabric from Jordan Fabrics for this pattern, all I need are the measurements.
Thank you Matt for making my quilting job easier! I'm a beginner and need all the help I can get, You keep cutting and I'll keep ordering!
I have a newer kit. It is lovely. Thank you for sharing this with us 🙏💖🍀🤟🤗🥄🥄🥄🌸

The brick and mortar store closed during the pandemic.
Loverly .
I would love the Lemoir Star. Not sure I’m spelling it correctly.
I love it
I just love this pattern
Love this block
Is it possible to buy the pattern for the Kings Crown quilt?
This is a beautiful pattern. I would love to make this with patriotic fabrics. Our group is working on quilts of Valor. ❤
Date/time 4/2/23 @ 5pm EST
I enjoy watching you but I can only find ones you made years ago. I would love to win one but I don't see any that you made in the same day
Спасибо!
Would love to see another Kings Crown video! With some bright colors!!
Gorgeous quilt!
Would love to see more Just love this
I am so disappointed that the Kings Crown Quilt Kits are no longer available. I watched this and will try to cut my own out.
I'll see if I can add King's Crown to our free pattern section.
@@jordanfabrics8380 Thank you! I'd really appreciate it! And I encourage the kits to make a comeback! I've loved piecing two of your log cabin quilts, one of the log cabin runners, and a Christmas lonestar!
@@jordanfabrics8380 any luck getting King's Crown to the free pattern section?
I want to make a king size of this quilt in Greens and earth tones. Can we buy the pattern and fabric needed separately? Or is this only available in Matt's kits? Does he have one in greens and earth tone Batik?

Handsome!
Love watching your videos! Thx for making it look easy
I've seen a pattern called the queens petticoat. Very similar.
I like it I would like to do it in another color maybe blues or red and I would do it like you in 2 kits
This is such a great pattern!!!
Love the batik one. And, those colors
Beautiful🌸

You said your colors were green and purple . Well mine are blue green and orchid or purple. Thanks again!!!
I really like this pattern. Does the pattern give instructions how to cut the pieces if not able to purchase the pre-cut fabric.🌻
When are you doing the wedding ring, Or have you?
I like the precuts with no pinked edge.

This is yet another wonderful tutorial! The Double Wedding Ring is coming up? COOL!
Yes, we are working on that now.
How many precut packages would you need for a queen/ king size quilt?
LOVE THE BATIK ONE FAB JOB

Hi Donna & Matt. Love the King's Crown - stunning. My question is; Can you make this quilt using 10" layer cake?
Just wondering what fabric line is this?
Perfect !!
I am currently working on one. I love it and Matt’s precision cutting is amazingly precise. Thanks Jordan’s for helping us have so much fun!!!❤️

I'm working on it, but it is not an easy pattern to do so give me some time.

Any tips on getting the intersection flat where the two flying geese blocks meet? I have so much bulk there and I think it will be hard to quilt. 🙁
I’dike to see a wedding ring quilt in pink and white
gorgeous quilts, love them both.
Love the pattern with the Jo Morton fabrics.....thank you.
Great instruction. Beautiful quilt. Please do a storm at sea in batik.
I have lots of requests for Storm at Sea, and will try to make a tutorial soon.

If you're hand quilting, then you want to pay attention to a smaller 1/4 consistent seam allowance.

How much does this kit cost?,, How big does it make?
I so enjoy watching your videos Donna. You are so knowledgeable and your husband Mat's cutting videos are also amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I sometimes like the see the traditional pattern made in a different color scheme or easier pattern
Is the batik you showed available in precut in those colors?
