I have always thought that quilting is for old ladies, but as a 44yo I'm starting to like the idea 😃 This quilt and in these bright and lovely colors would be my first try. I'm no new to sewing, so this would be a nice beginning of a long hobby for me. Your instructions and videos are the thing, that made this idea pop in my head. So thank you for your quidance and please, show us more.
Obviously Donna can make beautiful quilts week after week, but it is her personality and style of teaching that keep me coming back for more! I feel like I'm visiting with a friend every time I watch! Thank you, Donna!
I think I have watched all your old videos, and I really love them all. The things they have in common - your family and staff, your love of quilting, your wonderful way of explaining the process, are the thing that makes them all so good. I miss seeing Matt though, would love to have him pop in more often.
Julie you’re right on the money with your observation. Happy quilting. And I might add that Donna always has what I call, ‘smiling eyes’. This is an important truth that I learned as I was learning hoe to train my wild mustang. Amazing how effective this one thing is!
@@quiltgram3056 Yes she does! And if I may address the thing we all think and never say: she is beautiful - and as she ages she just gets to be more so!
Yesterday I had the joyous pleasure of speaking with Karen at your office. She took the time to talk with me and help me pick out the fabrics I needed to create your TEA TIME quilt. I can't wait for the box to arrive. Karen was so kind and friendly. Appreciate your staff and company.
Job well done! All of you! You're hard work shows, and can't be any other way than hard work. Very much a help for the quilting population! I so appreciate y'all for doing what you do! And also a huge nod to Daniella for her quilt design and well written patterns!
@@janiceabner5250 They are Hoffman batiks. I don’t know which line, but if you click on the link under the video for the supplies for the quilt, you can see the kits Donna offers have the jelly roll in them. It probably is a jelly roll that Matt cut and put together!
I love how you show how you decide on the thread color and pattern for quilting, instead of just "quilt as desired". Your videos have helped me with these often difficult decisions.
I was literally just watching your old long tall video when I saw you posted this! I really love these videos, thank you for continuing to make them for us!
I just love the way you break down the quilting steps to show how manageable, logical, and organized quilting can be!! You and your family are my pandemic heroes!! I'm a new quilter at 73 and have many projects to experience in a short period of time!!! Thank you!!🤩
73 years young and a new quilter I like hearing things like that. In my country I know people who thinks at 50 their too old to try something new. Keep on quilting.
I have been watching you and your husband in your son's videos for years now! I even pay attention to the beautiful landscape when you are outside! I find myself wanting to move from Ohio to Grants Pass and dreaming of quilting in a room with big windows! You are living my dream! I have watched the long talk video at least 5 times and finally have decided to make it for my sister in-law. She loves native American things. I think this would be perfect!
Your quilts always turn out beautiful. The choice of fabrics is awesome. I enjoy watching your tutorial and considering it's a balmy 19 degrees outside my puppy and I are staying warm and I've got my coffee and enjoying the videos. Thanks so much for all your hard work.
Sewing garments, costumes, blankets/throws, and home decor have been my thing for many many years. This is going to be my first quilt! Thank you Donna for the great tutorial!
I just re-watched the video from 4 years ago. I loved those fabrics and the quilting on the quilt....but the most telling thing is you look so much YOUNGER today! I love your hair color. I just had mine highly frosted as well. Thank you so much for continuing these wonderful videos.
Even though I watch several of your videos you never fail to tells us the same thing over and over. I love that about your videos. You never assume that we should know about the things you are teaching. I am hooked!
My favorite quilting videos. So much information for a fairly intermediate quilter who still likes simple. Trying to get out of my COVID funk🤓 I’m having a hard time doing anything...even tho I have the time. Blessings to you all.
My Jordan Fabrics order arrived in my rural mailbox yesterday with the original sized Strip Tube Ruler included. I went to the Cozy Quilts YT videos to browse through Daniela's patterns and this one caught my eye. But alas, it does not require the use of my fancy new ruler 😶. That's okay ... I like watching Donna make any pattern whatsoever. Let's get sewing!
This is a beautiful quilt, and the jelly roll fabrics are gorgeous. I also love the black accents and light background fabric. I like that the color teal is not featured, although there may be a smidgen here and there. Teal is not a color I care for. I like that jelly roll so much that I'm tempted to order it, even though I don't quilt. I'd find uses for it here and there among my needlework projects.
I have made over 300 quilts in the past 50 years but I always learn new things from your videos. Thank you so much for your valuable efforts, and expertise! 💜🥰
I love this so much! I finished my first quilt 3 days ago. I made myself a large queen size. I know, crazy. But hey, that’s me, go big or go home. I made a infant quilt yesterday, and started another today. My son will be going away to college in a few months and I found the perfect pattern. Long and tall it is ❤️ I hope to master free motion one day. Lord knows I need practice. Thanks for sharing. Again, this is my favorite so far.
@@TheQuiltingLunchLady That’s awesome. Since this post I made a popcorn quilt but needs trim, runners, place mats . So much fun. Good luck to you in your future creations 🥰
I made this pattern using black and cream metalics alternating. It turned out beautiful. FMQ with gold non-metalic thread. So lovely.... So EASY! Thanks for the new tutorial. FYI - The old one was the one that caught my eye while I was just putzing around on you-tube, and it drew me in to quilting. I bought the pattern because I liked it so much and you made it look so easy, and thus my quilting life started (in my late 50's). If it weren't for you and THAT pattern, I would have missed out on a very enjoyable and important hobby and the ability to FMQ. I have learned so much from you about piecing quilt tops, and other You-Tube quilters have shown me how to actually quilt. Who knew that You-tube and Jordan Fabrics started it all for me! I am forever grateful. Thank you.
I started this quilt tonight around 10:30 pm. I just wanted to get the pattern, read it ,pick my fabric and be ready to start in the morning. Well it’s 2 hours later and all my pieces are ironed, cut and sitting at machine. Now I hope I can sleep with visions of quilt piece dancing through my head 😆 thank you for this video

I hope one day to visit your store, and meet you!!and your amazing staff, they have been so helpful to me on the phone when placing orders Thank You!!! From Karen in Harrison Hot Springs, BC, Canada
Great quilt, wonderful colors. Sorry I haven’t had time to watch your videos lately but have been making quilts for veterans, it’s good to be back. Love your tutorials.
I really like this pattern, I will have to try this one sometime soon. It reminds me of the southwest, one of my favorite placed. Thanks again Donna for all you show us about quilt piecing. HAPPY QUILTING

Watching you cut fabric, sew, and iron is like a special meditation time for me. Thank you for showing us how to make beautiful quilts!
That's a good description- meditation. After a long frustrating work day it's just what I need when my brain is too fried to cut and sew myself.
So pretty!!! I love that you usually use reads-as-solid instead of actual solid.
I appreciate that you've chosen a background that is not white or ivory. Colors are often a great choice!
