I like how real you make it seem. Most people would just do another day of filming but I like your take on this situation. And it gives a good perspective for people who don't come to the park's often that they have to pivot their plans if circumstances don't go always as planned.

It happens! Glad you had some backup footage to use. One of my favorite tips is when you don't know what to book for Genie+, book Indy. Because it breaks down so often, you're likely to get a multi-ride LL out of it.
I have become a huge fan of the bao buns at the tropical hideaway more than Bangle BBQ. I know it is sacrilege. It probably saves me some scooty to boot. Adventureland is the place for small bites.

I thought about holding off on this video until the Treehouse was done, but there has been absolutely no news and it was originally slated to open this year. But this year is running out so I just passed on it.
I wouldn't mind being trapped in Adventureland. I never have eaten at Bengle Barbecue. And also never eaten actually food at tropical hideaway. Only dole whips. The Bazzar store is one of favorites. Not to mention my favorite ride. Bummer it was down. Can't go wrong with the Jungle Cruise. O 2 H!!😊
We ran into you on the Sailing Ship Columbia and chatted with your wife last Friday (the day of this video). I love your videos and they were helpful and entertaining for our trip there this week. I look forward to more videos for our next trip in April.
Last time we went to Blue bayou (last year) it was terrible. My son said he wished we just went to Bengal bbq and spent the $300 there. I will consider making that our “expensive” meal next time.
8 items for 50 in Disney is a steal. Don’t be telling people it’s too pricey. Bengal BBQ is easily top 5 foods in Disneyland with the mobile ordering also being one of the fastest.
In terms of cost to fill value it is. It takes about 4 items to fill me up. And that’s around $20+ I can get a meal at Rancho del Zocalo for $13 that I can’t even finish.

If you purchase genie+, just make sure to book a time for Indiana Jones and if it’s broken for a little bit during that time, they will give you a redemption to come back later that day.

We usually avoid the kids meals because the food can be lower quality. Additionally, it’s quite pricey for what you get. We always buy an adult meal for our kids to split. Now if you’re talking just a single adult wants a kids meal because they don’t eat a lot and they have no one to split an adult meal with, then that’s a viable option to save money. Usually Amy and I will split some of the larger meals that Disney offers, like at Rancho del Zocalo or Alien Pizza Planet. Pretty much any meal with rice or pasta will be large enough to split because they come in larger portions.
Yes! I thought about waiting until the treehouse was done, but there's literally been no news and it was supposed to open this year, but the refurb schedule still has it closed for the next 6 weeks and there won't be much of 2023 left after that.
The closures and then the subsequent back-up of lightning lane riders makes for a frustrating experience. Even fully operational the main attraction rides are painfully long because of Genie+
We preferred when Lightning Lane was gone entirely OR the old free Fastpass was in use. We feel MaxPass worked just fine at Disneyland. We even paid for it quite a few times despite not needing to. But Disney is greedy and won’t offer things for free anymore.

We got evacuated from Monsters Inc this past Sunday (same day as this video), and I thought we were getting a multiple experience pass. That is until the cast member said it wasn’t a technical difficulty so no pass will be given out. Somebody dropped a hat on the track, and if we want to wait to ride it we could, but it would be about 10 minutes. Which isn’t terrible of course, but we’d already ridden about half the ride so just went somewhere else.

It breaks cause there’s a lot of people ride on it. Specially when it’s a popular ride
And those people refuse to put away their ears, hats, glasses, etc
