    I own the older version of Topaz software suite and agree it is a great editing software. Would update to new versions but I think it is far too expensive considering I already own 90% of the program and the update is simply not worth it.
    Keep up the good work Brendan I really enjoy your content.

    I have used all of the Topaz products except Video Al almost ever since the company started . Currently on the latest version of Topaz Photo Ai and it is a ‘lifesaver ‘ with my Fuji XT4 raw files use in conjunction with latest Photoshop and Lightroom Classic .
    Whereas it is a lifesaver with my XT4 , 16/55 and 70/300 arguably those using higher end full frame and pro lenses would probably have little need .
    Topaz very recently changed their pricing model . Whereas the annual pricing model covered everything now there are separate annual licences for Topaz Photo Ai and Gigapixel Ai . Now if you renew both it is a near 100pct price hike . I’ve renewed my Topaz Photo Ai ti have access to changes in coming year . If you don’t renew it keeps working seemingly but with no updates .
    The very recent Super Focus inside Topaz Photo Ai is way way way way too slow even on a silicone chip iMac . Topaz are working on speeding it up

      How are the results for the super focus compared to the old focus?

      Hey I was wondering what's your workflow for using it, if you don't mind me asking? For example, do you put the video clips you will use in Topaz first and then take it into your editor to edit? Or do you edit your clips first and then at the end use topaz? Thank you!

      @ I only use Topaz Photo Ai on single images…not video .
      I import my raw files to Lightroom Classic with LRc default set to zero sharpen zero noise reduction . The ones that are keepers my first action is right click “edit with “ Tpai .

    Excellent Review. I just bought it for the first time. My wife and I needed it. She just licensed an image to a hotel chain. They are going to make a bunch of 25X33 images on canvas. I was worried that a detail is not sharp enough. I bought it just for that one detail. Well, it did what I wanted to do and it already paid for itself. However, I will run many more of my images through it and be able to sell larger sizes of my images.

    Thanks for review. I'm making a photo album of grandchildren from phone photos taken by their parents, who aren't particularly careful photographers and Photo AI is definitely improving the quality of the images, particularly the kids' faces.

    Thank-you for the video. I have found that for sharpening landscapes in Photo AI, that a lot of tiny white dots appear in the photo. I find these dots to be very ugly. Have you experienced this situation and how do you remedy the problem?

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting, I have not experienced that personally. If you still have that problem with all sharpening models I would just suggest something like the Remove Tool in Photoshop or the Healing Brush in Lightroom. If that still doesn't work I would email Topaz labs to see what the issue may be.

      @@BrendanWilliamsTutorials Thank-you for the reply. I get it every time, no matter what model. There are too many to delete them by hand. I will contact Topaz.

    For really low light action photos, I've found the Topaz DeNoise gives strange artifacts and the Lightroom AI Denoise is far superior. The Topaz sharpen feature works very good though. My licenses just ran out so debating whether to upgrade to get the new super sharpen.

      I wouldn't bother just yet about Super Focus as it take forever to process just one file therefore I don't use it (only just recently got Photo AI so it's all new to me).

    the Black Friday sale doesn't reduce the cost it only adds cloud credits. But doesn't explain if you can use those credits only for what you purchase or to allow you to cross use tools

    Would you go 1 month with only Photo AI, just to see if it is an actual possible LRc-replacement?

    • @kinnectar820
      @kinnectar820 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Having just tried to do this, it isn't. Photo AI lacks detailed manual control of many tools we use as photographers all the time, especially when it comes to color correction, control, and levels. View it as a supplemental tool, not a replacement. I was hoping it would be a drop in, autotune, and go workflow for casual photos, but I haven't been satisfied with it for that purpose (though I do take photos in low light environments, which is a tough ask). That said, face recovery and sharpen are excellent, if you plan on using it for that go for it.

    can't remember what I paid for it , 200 bucks Huh ... it's on sale now for 200.00 original cost 400.00 , I really like Magnific AI I think it's on another level but do like Topaz Labs Photo AI and using both with PS works out good , also code former is good for faces and it is free if your going to use it for a image or two but takes a min. to learn .

    I've been using Topaz products for many years now. My experience is that for sharpening Sharpen AI was the best. The sharpening quality of Photo AI is slowly getting better, but IMO Sharpen AI is still a bit better. Face Recovery is really really good. The only problem is that on people you personally KNOW you can recognize some minor changes on their faces. Anyone knows a better sharpening software? Thanks for the video 😀

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's fair. Sharpen AI is still an awesome program. I agree with the minor face changes, but with a lack of better option (that I'm aware of), I still think it's pretty darn good. I would also be curious to hear if someone else knows of a better sharpening software to rival topaz labs.
