In 6th grade I had just learned how to use a bow..but now, 4 years later, I'm playing that piece so I shall call that an accomplishment :)) Yet, astonishing performance, keep it up!
Outstanding performance! I remember playing for NYSSMA grading, just some 58 years ago...still performing. May you enjoy the viola and please your audience for a long time, Yoonah!
im a seventh grader trying to learn this and this is definitely my favorite recording to follow in terms of interpretation, tone, fingering, and everything in between. outstanding performance 🙌
Lol I'm in 9th grade playing this piece (for a competition tomorrow) and I have half of the bow control, sound, and vibrato skills that she does Wish me luck! 😑
I haven't found out the results yet but the odds aren't really in my favor because everyone was older than me. I didn't have a memory slip but I had shaky bow and like the same dynamic throughout the whole movement lol
I was a very not ready to play it 10th grade student when I played this pieces. But now after I've managed to get through the first moment of the Hoffmeister concerto this sounds so "easy" to go back to. This time I will be playing it either accompaniment which I never did last time. Her performance was so good!
There used to be a series called "Music Minus One", so you could play along for practice. Not sure if this piece was included, but you might look for it.
Frank Pam I mean... if you wanna get all technical, Casadesus released this piece and claimed that it was a work by JC Bach, so everyone knows it as the JC Bach Viola Concerto. Although, I don’t know why he felt the need to lie about who composed that piece because it’s so darn good!
Would be absolutely phenomenal if not for the break-neck speed. The point of music is not to see how fast you can play. My heart is racing just listening and I don't mean in a good way...like I'm going to have a heart attack and need to do some yoga. Not the feeling I want to take away from this concerto!

I’m an 11th grader learning this concerto. I started viola last year. This is my new reference.

I’m 9 years old and I’m learning from you . Very nice!!!
I’m in the same grade as her and I’m learning this piece!😆
Henri Casadesus pretended that this was by J.C.Bach but later admitted that he wrote it.
I think your writing this is every jc Bach performance; I saw this written by you in another vid about this piece 😂
How is her tone so good ?? (Lots of other good things too) I'm jelly rn 😭
your so musical! This was so good!👍
so talented!!

The people that disliked this were just looking at the screen upside down so they thought that the dislike button was the like button ;)

I'm in 5th grade, learning this song
It's videos like these that make me feel like I'm doing something wrong 🤔
sammmmmeeeee
where could I find a recording/video of just accompanist?
There used to be a series called "Music Minus One", so you could play along for practice. Not sure if this piece was included, but you might look for it.
👍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿👍
Lol I'm in 9th grade and probably going to play this piece a few years later... due to starting a year ago Hahahaa *cries in corner*
its not as hard as you think
J.C. BachではなくJ.S.Bachだよね。
J.C. Bachさんはキホン古典派ソナタ形式完成期の作曲家。
タイトル間違えないでほしい。
lol I’m a senior and playing this
I played this for competition last year in 8th grade. Compared to this, I sucked. This is by far one of the best performances of the song.
Very fine performance of this music by Henri Casadesus. It has nothing to do with JC Bach.
Any Maine AllState violists here
Literal tengo 18 años y no soy capaz de tocar los primeros 5 compaces bien 😭
These kids are forced to play like this.
she is so so so so good but need to change her viola
Why? It looks perfectly fine and sounds great.

I FEEL

Not very good piano - physically.
I'm very sorry, but... It's a dead execution.
