This video features the CLA45s AMG which is one of the AMG performance versions of the Mercedes CLA. My car is the 2022 CLA45s AMG Coupe but you can also get the CLA45s AMG Shooting brake or even the A45s Hatch back.

I'm going be posting my cla 35 and upgrades to make it look like 45 in few months I havre not done content but I'm going try create decent. My cameras are OK I'll prob use my 360 one as that way people can look around dunno if TH-cam has that? If not anyone have suggestions user my zfold 3 cam temporarily?
Glad that you are so excited about your 45s mate, love your comparison between the c43. From your pickup video, the 45s have a very exploded air opening on the intercooler which differ from c43. You might need to consider aftermarket mesh to protect the intercooler as there are similar issue reported about paramericana grill and stone chip, derbies damage lead to leaking
Congrats on the new AMG Adam. We’re paralleling to a degree as I took delivery of my AMG GLC43 Coupé on 28 Oct. After watching your ‘5 Regrets’ package around the time of my ordering, I’ve got to say it went into my distilling thoughts. I took many of your suggestions when optioning and went a little further with customisation after delivery .

- No wrapping 👎🏼 although I did chrome-delete (through removal and painting rather than wrapping) the rear & side badging, 4 door handle tops and the chrome strip above the tail lights to gloss black complement the factory night package - gloss black side mirrors and window surrounds, rear diffuser & quad pipes and front spoiler 👍🏻👍🏻
- Yes to all-round caliper painting (Benz gloss red)
- Yes to metallic selenite grey which really helps the gloss black lipstick to pop along with the black and chrom combo 21” wheel upgrades
- Yes to Ceramic PP (GTechniq) as you highly recommended 👍🏻

Fab video, the interior is just stunning! Ive been watching your videos for some time, beautifully shot and content that keeps viewers engaged. Im 48 and have always wanted a Mercedes but never either had the opportunity or finances. Came into some cash earlier in the year so bought an immaculate 2014 GLA 220 AMG line Executive 4matic in June and im in Love! Previous owner added £3k of extras from new so it has everything in it including the black and red leather hand stitched interior and seats. Im already eyeing up a GLA 45s and thinking i will upgrade in 18 months and even the wife agreed... Thats something you dont hear often :)

Ah! I'm on the A421 all the time! You may have missed me because I tend to be on way way to work around 6:00am and sometimes I'm not home till quite late in the evening. Like to get a good head start to the day but also avoid the busy traffic! ;)

And a small request about the dash/infotainement review: if you could please make it like a 20 min video clicking litarally every button. Im so curious what it can all do :)

@@ABAUTOAMG almost got one 2020 that got rear ended in a crash for around 7k at auction 3 weeks ago, honestly with 5 grand and it'd be like new. Still chasing this beast!

Thanks ARbrtz, I'm exploring options on paint protection with the matte paint at the moment but wanted to see how it holds up first for everyone considering it, since theres so much conflicting info online. Lets see how it goes! Hopefully can provide some great videos on it!

I am also falling in love with the CLA. Did a test drive for few weeks with an CLA 200D 4 Matic. Few months old with AMG Line of course. From outside a damn sexy and beautiful Car but Inside I am not ok with the quality for this price. One week before I did drive an E 220 4matic also with AMG Line. 3 years old but much more impressive as the few months old CLA. I get my choice, if i need a new Car I wamt want definitely a E CLASS. But or Car is on a higher level and still the most beautiful car. Thanks for the videos.

Love this engine. Just put a deposit down on a new Lotus Emira with the same (albeit slightly detuned) power plant. If it's epic in the CLA, I reckon it'll be absolutely magnificent in a 1400kg Emira!
Ah that's amazing Lewis I have seen the Emira and I was so impressed, it looks so nice! The fact it has the same AMG engine is incredible. I can only imagine how fun it's going to be in that light body. I can assure you even though this engine is only 4 cylinders it's absolutely amazing :)
Great Video love the Way camera is positioned for a panoramic view of the dash. What a great interior. I have gone for the red trim starting to wish I had the yellow now🙂

Congratulations on your car. Great content as well. Maybe a suggestion I have read in forums about the intercooler, radiator getting damaged from stone chips and Mercedes not covering the same. Hence its best you invest on some aftermarket grill to prevent damage..Cheers!!

Great video - awesome car. In an earlier video you said to ditch run-flat tyres. Looking online about different tyres it was said the car's suspension was set up for these tyres and not to change them. What is your view?

@@edwhlam Hey mate, It's pretty similar to the C43. These cars all have pretty high road noise due to the 19" wheels are stiffer suspension. Not too bad but you'd notice it coming from the E class I think.

Excited to see the difference in 0-100 compared to the c43 after you „warmed“ the new Engine the first 1k miles.
I myself got a c43 but I am hesitating because the 45 „only“ got 4 cylinders… I‘m afraid it loses its massive power above 100-120 mph.
Once the engines all ran in il happily give my experience on this as it's an interesting one! I will compare it to my experience with the C43 :)

Ah that is a tough one, both are amazing cars so you willl be happy either way but I'd recommend having a good drive in both to see which feels right with you

Love the RS3 and used to own S and Rs Audis but I just love the AMG right now, This car has such mean looks and the engine is fantastic.

That's an extended aero kit option. It's not available in the UK yet on orders but may be some day :)
Where and how do you mount the camera? is it coming from the sun roof?
Yep! It's so nice to have a sun roof in the cla45s to mount my cameras 👍😁

Do you have any idea why AMG steering wheels are flat at the bottom is there a reason or is it just design?
Lastly how many miles do you do a day for your work, looks like you’ve some good motorway stretches you’ll be able to blast down.

I have Ghost 2 :)
The flat bottom steering wheel is from racing, the flat bottom gives more space to turn the wheel, does not knock knees etc, its a much more sporty shape :)
Around 20 miles, its a nice mixture of motorway and a few country roads :)
@@ABAUTOAMG so if you have ghost they can’t take the car so no need to lock your OBD port because even if they clone a key they can’t take the vehicle makes sense.
Steering wheel answered in full and it’s obvious now, although looks a bit odd to use, suppose I’ll find out soon.

Quick thing, I was under the impression the power is distributed 50-50%, and afterwards the rear diff is sending a 0-100% of that rear 50% power to either rear wheel. So basically it’s still an AWD (front-biased), you cannot set it to 0% front and 100% rear. Am I right?
correct, I have the a45S, these cars can't go full front wheel drive or rear wheel drive.
Hey Marius, Thank you! I think you are right. In my excitement I did not really explain the system very well! I will be doing some proper homework and learning everything I can about this system and the entire car so I can do some good in depth videos. Part of the fun with the new car is learning absolutely everything about it! 😁

I wish I could afford to own 2 AMGs but I had to sell the C43 while used prices were so high but I filmed lots of content ahead so I can keep posting C43 videos alog side the CLA45s so we have both! :)
How many miles have you got now ?
My CLA 45 2014 had been tuned to 421HP/540NM at stage 1. Is this the right stats or should be higher/lower specs?
Sounds about right for the previous generation cla45. Without stage 1 i think the 2014 model is around 360hp The new engine in the 2021 model has 420hp stock.

Hey Matt, No problem to asked I’m just under 5”11. I’m not sure how this would be for over 6ft but I have plenty of room and the seat goes back pretty far If needed.

Why do you have to run the engine in
A new engine is run in slowly to allow all all the mechanics to bed in before they are put under stress. My car has a sticker on the wundow with exact instructions for running it in.

Hey! The C43 is around for a little longer but main is now the CLA45s. E63s is an amazing car, love the V8! Used prices are mad right now though :(

Did you get Mercedes StarGard?
They don't offer star guard for matte paint but to be honest though I don't think star guard is worth it. Your better off getting a professional detailer to do a ceramic coating on the car.

You guys are so oooo lucky they don't force BUMPERETTE ON YOU THEY LITERALLY RUIN THE BACK PROFILE AND IT'S ILLEGAL NOT HAVE DUMBEST THING no cop would ever know pull you over for it but like why why . I know u can remove but it is a pain the video I saw was so much work money cuz he had repaint bumper create new internal attachments because the BUMPERETTE underneath is where bumper attached my lord looks so much cleaner
What year is this model?
Mine is 2021/22 the car is only 1 week old. I think the cla45s was launched 2020 :)
